Beyond the Vineyard — Discover Farming That Works With Nature
What if farming could produce exceptional food and wine while actively restoring the environment? Join us at Tractorless Vineyard for an engaging, eye-opening one-hour guided tour exploring the fascinating world of regenerative agriculture. 🌱
A Revolutionary Approach to Agriculture
Discover how we are moving beyond conventional farming practices to create a diverse, resilient, and highly productive agricultural ecosystem. Here, plants, animals, insects, soil, and people all play a vital, interconnected role in crafting sustainable food and wine.
What You Will Experience
- Regenerative Principles in Action: Learn how we improve soil health, encourage biodiversity, and integrate livestock to reduce machinery use. 🐑
- Natural Vineyard Health: See firsthand how we develop natural systems to manage vineyard health without relying on heavy intervention.
- A Vision for the Future: Hear about our broader mission to reconnect people with where their food and wine come from while supporting healthy ecosystems. 🍷
Tour Details
Whether you are passionate about sustainability, gardening, farming, or simply curious about the future of agriculture, you will leave with fresh ideas and a deep appreciation for the living systems behind what we eat and drink.
Duration: 1 hour
Price: $35 per person
This experience can be enjoyed on its own or combined with our Sustainable Wine Tasting for a complete two-hour Tractorless Vineyard experience.
Location & Directions
Thanks for booking a guided tasting at our vineyard. This is located at 132 Compton Park Road, Berrima (Tractorless Blue Metal Vineyard).
https://goo.gl/maps/qV1bVHvrje2nBwCY9
The closest cross road is Green Hills Road, continue along Compton Park Road past ‘Dogue country retreat’ and you will see our gate on the right-hand side directly into the vineyard.
Please turn into the gate and park on your right along the external fence, if we are not there to greet you please walk up the hill towards the shed/cellar door.
What to Wear & Facilities
Remember we are an operating vineyard so we suggest wearing long pants, boots and bringing a hat and jacket. Our toilets are also about a 200-500m walk out of the vineyard so if possible we suggest going before coming on your tasting with us.
Biosecurity Notice
Please help us protect our farm from Biosecurity risk. Our greatest threat is grape phylloxera. This tiny insect pest destroys vines by feeding on their roots. It wiped out vineyards in the US, EU and in Australia, which had to be replanted. Thankfully, phylloxera is currently confined but the insect can live on your boots, tyres etc for months. If you have been on vineyards outside of NSW in the past 2 months please ensure you are wearing different boots or driving a different vehicle or have given them a very good wash before entering our vineyard.
We look forward to teaching you about what we do and why it’s so sustainable and tasting some of our great food and wine.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS

I have visited a few wineries in the Highlands and Jeff's wines are well and truly up there if not the best in the area, congratulations for a great product.
This is the first time I've ever experienced something like this. Get your act together. ???? ????
Original post:
We had a booking today (8/18) @ 2:30pm. When we arrived there was no one there, only a sign that said "will return @4:30p". Our reservation was a prepaid reservation and we had received 2 confirmation emails, one at the time of booking and one the night before. We attempted to reach out via phone and email. No one responded.
Luckily the owner of Merrigangs : Distillery and Bar saw our debacle and invited us in to try his wonderful spirits. He definitely saved our tasting experience.
Do NOT book with a tasting with Tractorless! But if you want to try some amazing spirits check out Merrigangs Distillery. They are right across from it and are super friendly and amazing!
edit - I had also called and left my phone number - so I could be reached if my brother could not - but no contact was received though we were sitting around the area until around 4p. Appreciate your invite but unfortunately our party was only visiting for the day.
He was one of the most passionate people I have ever met. He had us enthralled with his stories and knowledge. And the wine was great as well.
Keep up the great work Jeff. Changing the world one grape, sheep, chicken at a time ????
Sean was great.
Only opened for us. Was impressed by this.
Very informative. Friendly. Great wine.
Would buy wine from here again.
Sean was very generous with his time, was knowledgeable and partnered relationships with food outlets at The Mill made for a very enjoyable experience.
The service and the vibe was awesome.
Inexpensive and a must do on your next trip to Bowral
