We travelled as a family of four, and Mattia customised a wonderful tour for us. He was exceptionally friendly and very good with our children. At the same time, he was highly knowledgeable, well organised, and always perfectly punctual.
The picnics he arranged were delicious, and the 4x4 vehicle was extremely comfortable. All in all, it was a truly great experience — we would happily come back anytime.

Recently (September 2025) my wife and I undertook a 2 day exploration visit to the Northern Territory's Kakadu National Park, all organized and booked by Mattia Morelli of NT Adventures.
Mattia is well knowledged in the background/ history and features of the park and he has good understanding and knowledge of the culture, and traditions of the aboriginal first land owners of the local area. So it was no surprise that we enjoyed very much to have the personable Mattia as our expert guide and driver.
In short, the organization and arrangements were efficient, flexible and without fuss, the 4 WD transport was comfortable and in top condition.
For an enjoyable, interesting and educational small group tour, particularly, but not limited to Kakadu Park, we can highly recommend Mattia Morelli and NT Adventures.

Wow what a day! What a tour and what an amazing person our guide Mattia was! A day spent going through Kakadu!!
My family and I embarked on a trip of a life time yesterday, with Mattia of "NT Top Adventures. From the time we got picked up in his comfortable and capable vehicle, we knew were in for a great day. Super organised, thoughtful and full of information.
Mattia made sure we were all comfortable the whole time. Really attentive to my two boys (who absolutely loved Mattia by the end of the day) and my Mother (70 years young)
We did the private day tour to Kakadu. Was a huge day, but never felt rushed at all. To many great things to mention, but it was all that we could have expected and more.
Honestly can't recommend Mattia and NT Top adventures more. We spent months researching who to do the day tour with. I now know we went with the right Person, now !!

Wow, what an experience it was to spend the day with Mattia. Very punctual, very kind to his clients, very good driver, he knew how to "educate" us for a full day. He showed us off-road places that turned out to be very beautiful and safe. He responded exactly to our needs, so much so that at the end of the day he even accompanied us to the ER (because my wife unfortunately sprained her ankle) and ensured that we were well looked after. Simply WOW. Highly recommended.

Mattia was the perfect guide to show us around Darwin for the morning and take us to the airport to catch our afternoon flight. We saw the highlights of Darwin and its neighborhoods and he took us through the museum. Even helped us with our luggage ensuring we got the right gate at the airport. The perfect Katherine and Adelaide River Region Trip! This was genuinely such an incredible trip. From the moment we were picked up to when we were dropped off, we were astounded by the service. The route and each stop has been carefully chosen to give you the greatest exposure to the history, culture, and beauty of Katherine and the Adelaide River region. Mattia was very knowledgeable and went above and beyond with respect to our food (which was delicious). His professionalism regarding driving and organising activities was exceptional. The Adelaide War Cemetery, .303 Bar, and Katherine Gorge cruise were particular highlights. Mataranka was closed during our trip but an alternative visit to Katherine Hot Springs was organised in lieu. We cannot recommend this trip (and Mattia) enough for anyone looking to experience Katherine, Edith Falls and the Adelaide River region. You cannot pack more into a single day and once that day is over you will feel like you have done everything that can be done. It is worth every cent!!read moreread less

My wife and I had a great trip with Mattia. Even though we did a tour of Kakadu and the cave art during the rainy season, Mattia did his magic and it only rained while we were in the car and was dry when we were exploring. We saw a lot of wildlife and had a lot of fun. We couldn’t recommend this tour any higher.

So many Memories Made on this Incredible Tour Simply superb! The wildlife, scenery, the sense of adventure and the seamlessly planned experience was second to none! Mattia is hugely knowledgeable, very considerate and a true gentleman. The places we visited, animals we saw and memories made were just amazing! This is a brilliant time of the year to do Kakadu - Hot yes but with the wonders of sunscreen, hats, cold water and aircon nothing was too extreme. When I say it felt like a private tour I mean it - at most places we were the only ones there, even in the Crocodile Hotel! Mattia had everything planned meticulously and even managed to secure access to a closed (for the season) UNESCO site so we literally had the place to ourselves!!! We spent 3 days on a tour of Kakadu( myself, along with my wife and son) recently , staying at Cooinda Lodge overnight.
We had a great time and found Mattia to be very knowledgeable and engaging, and always ready to modify the itinerary as needed, as my wife had some mobility issues.
We then had a day trip to Katherine along with another couple, and again thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
We would highly recommend Mattia for tours of the N.T and hope to do a tour of the Red Centre with him.

My husband and I recently shared a Top End Adventure with Mattia Morelli. Mattia was super organised, did all the necessary bookings for tours, cruises and accommodation.We didn't have to do a thing! With his background in anthropolgy he was very knowledgeable and passionate about the Northern Territory and its nature and culture. Flawless experience If you are looking for a guide in NT, look no further!Mattia knows all the good spots, when to go and what they are/mean in the region and its people.
He has also developped relationships with the local tribes by earning their respect. He knows their culture, history and customs.
We noticed it wasn't always the case with other operators who seemed more distanced from the indigenous run tours.
Mattia perfectly understood what travelling with three young kids means and has created the perfect itinerary for us. Not rushed and yet two very full days.
He is very thoughtfull and makes sure everyone enjoys the time.

We had an amazing time exploring Kakadu, Litchfield and surrounds with Mattia from NT Top Adventures We have just returned from a 5 Day Top End (Kakadu, Litchfield, Katherine Gorge, Mataranka) tour with Mattia from NT Top Adventures. The tour was amazing - with just my wife and I, along with Mattia from (the owner of) NT Top Adventures as our guide, driver, preparer of picnics and wealth of both local and indigenous knowledge.Not having to tour with a group of other tourists meant that we were able to enjoy amazing waterfalls and swimming holes without having to compete with others for privacy/serenity and photo opportunities. The tour was able to be adapted on the fly according to our wants, preferences, and the local environmental conditions.
Mattia ensured we had plenty of food (with a great selection) and drink throughout the tour, and the nightly (motel/cabin) accommodation was lovely.
The scenery/landscape, flora and fauna; along with the indigenous art and history that was on display right across Kakadu, Katherine and Litchfield was simply stunning. Mattia's local knowledge was icing on the cake in terms of providing context and background to the stories, culture and way of life that of the local indigenous people both past and present.
The swimming opportunities were amazing and the scenery is awe inspiring. Our only regret is that we couldn't spend longer exploring the top end.
We have no hesitation in giving a five star review for the tour and for Mattia's can do approach and great attention to detail in his planning.

One Day Tour Litchfield Park We were visiting Darwin on a cruise and rather than join a large group excursion booked a trip in advance online with NT Top Adventures. Mattia scheduled the trip to coincide with our ship arrival and departure times including picking us up and dropping us off at the cruise terminal. We had a really good trip into the bush visiting Litchfield Park, termite mounds, waterfalls, wildlife, flora and fauna and finally finished with a refreshing drink in the local bar.
Thank you Mattia for a very enjoyable and very informative day.

We spent the day yesterday with the owner of NT Top Adventures , Mattia , on a day tour of the Litchfield National Park . What an amazing day we had , we were joined by a lovely UK couple , Simon and Lyn . Unfortunately for us as it is the wet season we were unable to do any swimming mainly due to crocodile activity . However Mattia made up for this with his wealth of information on flaura , fauna and wildlife , we all learnt so much from him , it is something that will stay with us forever . For those wishing to do a day tour of Litchfield , we cannot recommend Mattia and his company enough . Thank you once again for a fantastic day . Ps I don't think that I have ever met a person who loves his job as much as Mattia does , when he is not operating tours , he works in the National Wildlife Parks , he is a credit to the industry

Awesome experience, NT Top Adventures guided us to “secret” swimming holes and told us about the animal and plant life of the entire NT (if you get Mattia he can also give you some funny insights about the Aussie culture). Highly recommend to get a tour with them!

Incredible tour!
Mattia picked up early in the morning and this allowed us to be alone ( alone in Litchfield!!) in the first two amazing pools! The rest of the day flew away with the interesting walks, swims and talks - and delicious breaks!
He always made sure we were comfortable and answered to our hundreds of questions in a knowledgable, but easy going way!
This tour is highly recommendable if you like to explore national park in a unique way, without feeling one of the thousands of tourists doing the same thing the same day. Mattia made it special to us , something we will remember for a long time !

Our private tour with Mattia was amazing! I had visited Litchfield before but it was my girlfriend's first time and I wanted something special for her. We were not disappointed! Secret places, accessible only by 4x4, specific timing to avoid the crowds, everything was perfectly calculated. Special mention to the 4x4 passages which were very exciting while being in a very comfortable 4x4! Mattia was very cultured, friendly and attentive. My darling was tired in the afternoon so he changed the program to adapt and take advantage of the time left. Thank you a thousand times, you made us have an extraordinary day!

Sensationnel! Notre tour privé avec Mattia était incroyable! J’avais déjà visité Litchfield mais c’était la première fois pour ma petite amie et je voulais quelque chose de spécial pour elle. Nous n’avons pas été déçus! Endroits secrets, accessibles uniquement en 4x4, timing spécifique pour éviter la foule, tout était parfaitement calculé. Mention spécial aux passages en 4x4 qui étaient très excitants tout en étant dans un 4x4 très confortable! Mattia était très cultivé, amical et attentionné. Ma chérie était fatiguée l’après-midi alors il a changé le programme pour s’adapter et profiter du temps qu’il restait. I recently took a week-long trip from Darwin to Alice Springs with NT Top Adventures. Our guide, Mattia, made the journey amazing. We travelled in a comfy Isuzu 4WD, seeing loads of cool spots along the way.
Mattia knows a lot about the area, and he shared fun stories and facts with us. We started in Darwin, checking out places like the Mindil Beach Sunset Market. Then we made our way to Alice Springs, seeing some awesome views and spots on the way.
What made the trip even better was Mattia’s fun and easy-going nature. He made us laugh a lot, and he was always happy to adjust the trip based on what we wanted to see and do.
If you’re thinking of exploring the Northern Territory, I’d recommend NT Top Adventures. And if you get Mattia as your guide, you’re in for a treat!

I have known Mattias for nearly 10 years and the work he's done as a tour guide and other roles in the NT. I have also travelled with him around the Territory. He knows the place geographically and culturally back to front, and is personally committed to all things in this beautiful Country. He will set up a campsite and fire in no time, and make sure everyone is comfortable, happy and has a full experience of what it means to be on this land. The people, the animals, the plants and the terrain, he can answer all your questions. He can also point to where to have a night on the town, be it Alice or Darwin (not much night life going on in the other towns). He has strong connections to Aboriginal people in the communities as well as the Aussies and foreigners who also call the NT home. I highly recommend traveling with Mattias if you want a fun experience full of learning.

Unreal and amazing at every moment The landscape is stunning and the reason for our tour. Mattia was full of knowledge with the local fauna and flora, history, culture, of not just the top end but the whole of NT, this made the tour really interesting and educational. It was so much fun to learn from Mattia. His easy and fascinating to listen. We were able to amend our tour to suit how we were feeling in the moment, staying longer in some spots and changing direction with driving - everything felt so personal and professional. Many laughs with lots of comfort. Easy and refreshing vehicle to nap in during the longer driving sections. Very friendly and happy person. And very, very accommodating. Thank you Mattia at NT TOP ADVENTURES, we cant wait to return and for our family to tour with you.
