Terms and Conditions 1-Hour Private Horse Ride Bushland Trail – this is a private ride with your own group plus your experienced guide(s). LOCATION DETAILS We operate from the grounds of The Hunter Valley Resort, which is located on the intersection of Hermitage Road and Mistletoe Lane, Pokolbin. When you enter the Hunter Valley Resort please continue straight ahead and follows signs to the Farm. CONDITIONS OF RIDING • The minimum age for this is 10 years. Once mounted on the horse, if your child is too nervous to ride or unable to control their horse, your ride will change to a 30-minute private family ride where an instructor will be allocated to lead your child. No refunds will be given for this change, so please make sure you have booked carefully. • Children under the age of 13 years must have a parent or guardian riding also. • This is a group ride at WALKING pace. • Group size can be up to 20 riders. If you don’t want to ride in a big group please consider our private ride option. • We have a strict weight restriction 110kg – riders over 85kg will be required to weigh in upon check-in. This is for the welfare of our horses. • Your booking will be confirmed after we have checked all details of your order and confirmed staff and resources availability ON THE DAY OF YOUR RIDE • You are required to arrive 30 minutes before your ride. If you are late this may affect the time you get riding on your horse so please adhere to this request as you will need to complete check-in, payment, helmet fitting, and have a lesson on horse riding. • Please ensure you have completed your online horse-riding waiver for ALL riders before your ride – this can be accessed via the Wherewolf email. • The balance payable will be required before your ride and can be paid via cash or card. • Long pants, sleeved shirts and enclosed shoes are required. • The use of mobile phones and cameras is prohibited whilst riding – this is for your own safety and an insurance condition. We will endeavour to take photos of the group while riding, which will be air-dropped to you at the end of your session (time permitting). Please appreciate this is a free complimentary service WHEN we can do so. We may have to start getting the next group ready for their ride, which may affect us getting these photos to you immediately. Please be patient and wait until we can do so. If you leave the premises, we regret we are unable to send these photos to you. • We reserve the right to refuse any customer who, on the day, we suspect is under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs and you WILL NOT receive a refund. • Horse riding can be risky and as such our trained staff are there to help and instruct you over the ride. You are to listen to and adhere to our guides’ instructions at all times. If you disregard instructions you will be taken off your horse and the ride. • We will ride out in light to medium rain, (we do have drizabone jackets for hire) however in the event of torrential rain, we reserve the right to cancel and/or postpone, at which point you will receive a full refund, credit voucher or postponement of your ride. CANCELLATION POLICY Please appreciate that we do staff our days according to our bookings so please don’t leave it to the last minute to cancel. • If you give at least 72 hours notice of any changes or cancellations to your booking you will not be charged. • If you cancel between 48 hours and 24 hours you will be charged for 1 rider (groups of up to 6) or 2 riders (groups of 7 and above). • On the day, cancellations, ‘no-shows’ or groups that simply change their mind you will be charged the full amount of the booking. • If WE cancel due to bad weather, you will not be charged. In light to medium rain we will still ride, so if you decide to pull out of your session on the day because of the weather you will be charged the full amount. • Strictly no refunds are given on the day.
