Small tour size was great, as was lunch and morning tea.
Our tips. Come in bathers, thongs and a hat only. I saw photos of the tour online where people were all wearing walking shoes - this is definitely unnecessary and would actually take away from swimming time.
The walk to Florence Falls was a bit rough due to the wet season and the condition of the path wasn't great so something to keep in mind if your with someone with mobility issues, as we were.
Our family opted out of buley rockhole as it hasn't the infrastructure of the other swimming holes (railings, steps) and was a 500m walk.
It was a couple of degrees hotter in litchfield than Darwin so slip, slop, slap and remember to drink water.
Great for kids. Our 8 year swimming loving kiddo loved it.
His knowledge, and sense of humour are terrific.
We loved our time on the tour, particularly the swimming with noodles.
The lunch, and refreshments really hit the spot.
If you want an amazing day out, in an amazing part of the country, Litchfield VIP tours will not disappoint.
From the timely pickup to morning tea at Berry Springs, from all the beautiful water/swim spots to the yummie vegetarian wrap, from the lovely and interesting info given by Daryl-our very capable&knowledgeable driver/guide to the goanna/wallabies and brumbies!
A day to remember for sure.
Thank you Litchfield VIP Tours!
Beautiful swimming holes and not too crowded. Our group was good and only 8 of us . Jason made it a very enjoyable day.
Why we went to Berry Springs when it was closed was a mystery. Couldn’t even get close due to the cyclone wire ( erected due to flood damage). Would rather have been told it was closed and spent more time at Litchfield.
Got to see and swim at all the popular swimming holes, really beautiful place, definitely worth the visit. Would have liked more time, it was a bit rushed towards the end of the day.
For $200 per person we would have liked morning tea to be more than a cup of tea or coffee and a piece a dry orange cake and lunch more than a chicken wrap.
Beer and wine at the end of the day however was a nice treat.
Would recommend this trip but with a few changes.
To anyone. Great day🤩
Knowledge of the area and was so accommodating. Would highly recommend this tour.
All the sights and swimming holes we visited were fantastic. Was concerned that there could be many stairs/steps but there wasn't, very manageable if you are elderly
Florence falls was spectacular… Always take a ‘noodle’ if you are not a strong swimmer when the water is high and flowing hard! Had to help someone to safety on the day!
Litchfield VIP tours ARE the number 1…
Great job guys! 🙌🏻
Not really sure how to put into words how amazing our tour of Berry Springs and Litchfield National Park was and our tour guide, Freddie. Everything was spot on. From the comfort of our A/C vehicle, the amount of snacks available to our boys (they kept saying 'this is the best holiday ever'), the fresh lunch (even had a cold beer & wine on hand) to the local knowledge, stories and facts shared and then there was the extra care shown to my Mum who is a little tentative around water. Freddie was just so accommodating, felt like family. And then the sheer beauty of the places we visited, left us truly blown away. Nature at it's finest!! You can read about the places you'll visit on tour or look at the photos on VIPs website, but they don't do it justice or show you how magical the landscape truly is. If there is one thing you do when you come to Darwin, I assure you booking through Litchfield VIP Tours for a day out at Berry Springs/Litchfield NP should be top of your list. There is absolutely nothing I would change about the day or our experience. Thank you again to Daryl for taking our booking, the After hour's messages and for being so accommodating to our family. And a massive heartfelt thank you to Freddie for guiding us on an adventure that we will never forget. You are one special human.
Till we meet again!!
Freddie went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable, providing plenty of snacks, chilled water, and a delicious lunch with a wide variety of drinks—even beer and wine were on offer!
If you’re looking for an unforgettable adventure, I can’t recommend this experience enough!
Our tour guide, Freddie, was fantastic. She was incredibly knowledgeable and shared lots of interesting facts about the area, its history, and the natural surroundings. The waterfalls and swimming holes we visited were absolutely beautiful and so relaxing—perfect spots to cool off and unwind. Overall, it was a well-organized, enjoyable day, and I’d highly recommend this tour to anyone looking to explore Litchfield in a more intimate and informative way.
I had a lovely day visiting the waterfalls. They were beautiful and had a swim in each pool. The tour was very well organised, with time enough to get to each of the falls at a leisurely pace. The walks were relatively easy and mostly flat, a few steps but nothing undoable for one whose fitness levels isn’t the best. Lunch was wraps and juice, I believe some had a beer or wine. Morning tea was also served consisting of tea, coffee or juice and the yummiest lemon cake.
Overall I really enjoyed the day, Jason our guide was friendly and extremely helpful and accomodating to all needs. The only issue I had was not being able to hear all that Jason was saying while driving and even after him putting on the microphone it did not work very often so feel I missed out on the commentary and insights into this wonderful area.
The drive was perfectly broken up with stops throughout the national park.
