Luxury Boat Hire Noosa Terms and Conditions

Bookings

Bookings made within 72 hours of the hire date require immediate full payment.

Bookings made more than 72 hours before the hire date require a $100 deposit. The remaining balance may be paid using one of the following options:

1. Cash on the day: This option includes extras such as ice, bait, fishing rods, tackle, an esky, cooking utensils and paper towels. Please note in the Special Requirements section that you wish to pay cash on the day. Please note – a No Show will be charged full amount if you haven’t prior communicated with us to let us know of any changes.
2. Bank transfer: Please use your booking number and surname as the reference. Bank details will be provided.
3. You may also continue online using the payment links sent by email.

Automatic payment reminders will be sent:

• 10 days before your hire date, if a balance is still owing.
• 4 days before your hire date, if a balance is still owing.

Unless previously arranged, failure to pay the balance at least 48 hours before the hire date may result in immediate cancellation.

Any booking amendments must be submitted in writing. Please also notify us if requesting a refund.

Arrival and Operating the Vessel

Please arrive 30 minutes before your hire time. On arrival, you will be asked to complete our hire agreement form.

The driver must be at least 25 years old and provide a current driver’s licence, mobile phone number and credit card on the day. You will then be taken to your boat for a safety briefing.

Unless previously arranged, arriving more than 30 minutes after your agreed hire time may result in forfeiture of your hire.

All boats must be returned on time. Late returns may result in forfeiture of your deposit refund.

Cancellations

If you cancel more than 72 hours before your hire date, your payment will be refunded less a $100 administration fee. Most refunds are processed within 5 business days; however, banks may take up to 21 days. Please note that cancellations made within 48 hours of your booking are non-refundable.

Bad Weather on the Day

On the day of your hire, Luxury Boat Hire Noosa will contact you in the morning if the weather is deemed unsafe. In this case, we may provide a credit to use on another day of your choice. Please see the Credits section below.

Refunds will not be provided due to weather unless Luxury Boat Hire Noosa deems the conditions unsafe on the day of your hire.

Experience

Luxury Boat Hire Noosa will not hire a boat to anyone who cannot demonstrate safe operation of the vessel. We must be able to communicate clearly with the hirer, and the hirer must be able to read and write in English to complete the hire form. A driver can be arranged if needed for an additional cost of $250 for the first 4 hours and $50 per hour thereafter. Driver rates differ on public holidays.

Alcohol and Noise

Anyone who arrives intoxicated or showing signs of substance use will not be permitted on the boats.

If you arrive with excessive alcohol, you may be asked to return some to your car. Alcohol consumption must be moderate and is at our discretion. The driver is not permitted to drink alcohol. If any passengers are unfit for public presentation on arrival or return, your bond will not be refunded and police may be called.

Spirits are only permitted in unopened premixed cans or bottles from a bottle shop. Homemade mixes are not allowed. Beer, wine and similar drinks are permitted in sensible amounts for the duration of your hire.

Excessive noise or inappropriate behaviour may result in immediate cancellation of your hire, with no refund or deposit returned.

Safety Briefing

Before departure, Luxury Boat Hire Noosa staff will provide a briefing and show you on a map where you can and cannot go, including safe swimming areas and good fishing spots.

We will also show you how to operate the boat, where safety equipment is located, how to use the BBQ, pizza oven and toilet, and how to deploy the anchor.

Bonds

All hires require a $1,000 bond and must comply with the hire agreement and verbal directions.

Bonds may be paid by credit card or cash. They must be paid in person by the hirer when completing the hire form. Luxury Boat Hire Noosa staff will inspect the boat with you, and you are welcome to take photos.

Tidiness

As stated in the hire agreement, the boat must be returned in the same condition as it was received. Excessive untidiness may result in an additional cleaning fee or loss of bond.

Credits

Credits may be provided when Luxury Boat Hire Noosa staff deem weather conditions unsafe on the day of hire. Credits may be used on any day except:

• Nationally recognised Queensland public holidays
• Christmas Day
• Easter long weekend, with dates depending on the calendar year
