I love landscape photography and there are plenty of photo opportunities and the flora and fauna is beautiful.
There is no fee to go to Mutawintji, however depending on the tour you choose with Tri - State, your fee varies and can include morning tea and lunch. Tri- State are based in Broken Hill. This visit was a couple of years ago.
We had a very knowledgeable local guide (may have been Geoff?) who was accredited by the Aboriginal community to provide tours in Mutawintji. We were picked up from our Broken Hill hotel for this full day outing.
On reflection though I was kicking myself that I hadn't asked whether the business had an indigenous guide. I feel this would have contributed to a more authentic experience and would have been a proactive way to support and respect the Aboriginal community.
