Seb is the coolest guy, very fun and caring of all of us and really helped us mesh as a group! Great group of people all from different countries. As a solo traveller this was such a lovely way to meet people.

We all learned to surf and improved so much over the week. Also saw tons of wildlife (wild dolphins, koalas, kangaroos, wallabies, sea turtles, and even a manta ray while we were surfing)! Great food throughout the trip too.

Such a nice balance of planned activities and chill time. We surfed every morning then had the afternoon to grab lunch in town or drive to our next spot. Saw some really stunning spots that were not touristy - beaches, hikes, walks, and cool little towns.

Overall this is 100% the best way to see the East Coast and I would recommend it to literally everyone who comes to Aus! Had the best time!!! :)

Australian Surf Bus tour Feb 2026 One of the best decisions I have ever made was booking a trip on the Australian Surf Bus. Guaranteed heaps of fun all throughout the trip and Seb was an absolute legend who has not only so much knowledge to help you learn or improve on your surfing skills, but also knowledge about Australia and it's culture. He is also really invested in making sure everyone on the trip is having fun and enjoying themselves. HIGHLY recommend booking a trip.

All around amazing trip and a must do activity while in Australia. A perfect balance of surfing, exploring the nature, sightseeing. The surf instructors were all great and Sebs video analysis was key in improving everyone’s surf skills. Could not recommend anything more than this trip!

Fun experience A good choice if you are solo travelling and want to see the east coast. Seb is very kind and supportive, and is a very good tour he has where you can experience different sides of Australia. If you’re a complete beginner as I was maybe you want to take a lesson or two before. But overall it’s a really good and funny camp 🥰

Did the surf bus from Brisbane to Sydney and it was a great way to explore the coast. Surfing for five days, learning a lot and cosy hangouts in the evenings at the campsites. You’ll get some scrapes and bruises but it’s worth it!

Legendary surf trip This was my first surf trip and it definitely made me want to do more. Meeting a new instructor every day was so valuable every coach was incredibly nice and positive. The stops were all very different but equally beautiful, and we got to see so much wildlife and nature. I really appreciated learning about Aboriginal culture and the historically significant places we visited. Thank you, Seb!

Just did the surf bus from Sydney to Brisbane and it was one of my favorite surf trips thus far! You stop at beautiful beaches along the way and surf with the coolest instructors all while getting to camp under the stars. You become so close with your group everyone feels like a family. I recommend this to everyone, Seb is the best!!

This trip checked so many things off of my Australia bucket list, including:
- learning to surf (I LOVED the video analysis aspect because not only do you get daily feedback, but you also get videos that you can keep and share!)
- exploring (and surfing) iconic spots along the east coast (Byron Bay, Yamba, Scott’s Head, etc.)
- seeing lots of wildlife (echidnas, kangaroos, koalas, dolphins, birds, etc.)
- meeting other people my age
- seeing the southern night sky

There is also a day when we visited an indigenous cultural centre which was interesting and educational. Seb is a great guide who is super fun and caring. Highly recommend if you are looking for an outdoor adventure!! (but don’t worry there are hot showers every night :))

Just finished the most insane week with Seb on the Australian surf bus! Heading from Brisbane down to Sydney we stopped at the best surf and camp spots along the way, Seb really does have the inside scoop and knows what’s up! We cheffed up some great meals to keep us fuelled for big surf days with free time to explore the surf towns 🏄‍♀️ definitely improved my surfing over the week, especially with the daily video analysis (that provided many laughs!) so if you’re thinking about booking - DO IT! Definitely a core Australian memory 😁 thanks again Seb!🤙🏼

Had such an amazing time on this trip! I highly recommend to anyone who wants to learn how to surf and meet some Killa people along the way. Seb was a great tour guide always making sure everyone was comfortable and okay. The campgrounds we stayed at were great and the surf schools were awesome and super informative. A must do for backpackers and locals My trip with the Australian Surf Bus was nothing short of wonderful! Seb has an abundance of knowledge around the areas we visited and the surf which added a super informative layer to the experience.

As an Aussie who hadn’t surfed before, this trip gave me the courage to get out and keep up the practice. It was also lovely seeing places in my own backyard I hadn’t previously seen, or gaining some new insight into them. This trip is not just for backpackers!

I did the June Byron -> Rainbow Beach winter tour with the Australian Surf Bus and my 5 days were some of my favourites in Australia so far! 🚌 I did this trip solo and instantly got along with everyone on my tour (who were all also solo travelling :)) Seb is such a cool, caring guy and has created a unique, authentically Australian experience. The tour let me tick off some of my east coast bucket list locations, as well as surf in world famous spots! 🏄‍♀️ I could already surf prior to my trip, but the surfing is accessible for both complete beginners to intermediates. I still learnt a lot from watching myself and others during the video analysis each night. As a vegan, I really appreciated the fully veggie healthy menu too! 🌱 And it’s not just all about surfing - the road tripping, wildlife spotting, sunset walks, stargazing, group cooking, exploring the towns and camping in nature under the stars each night make this trip truly unforgettable. 🌅 All the surf instructors from the surf schools are a lot of laughs too! Just book it!!! 🤙

This trip exceeded my expectations by a mile! I did a winter trip and it was the most incredible 5 days , firstly Seb is an absolute legend and made sure everyone was looked after well, and went above and beyond to ensure we had fun and got the most out of our experience. The weather wasn’t an issue for surfing which I was really glad about, we were provided wetsuits and the water was mostly warm so it wasn’t l uncomfortable to surf during winter. It was actually perfect weather most days. The surfing instructors that Seb picked for us were all great and really helpful in teaching us to surf, using their own techniques which allowed us figure out what works best for us. The locations were all really nice and some of them left me speechless. The facilities at the campsites were comfortable and sleeping in the swags added to the unique camping experience and was something I really enjoyed. The way Seb taught us to do things such as setting up the swags or giving us surfing tips , or even showing us how to cook easy healthy meals, and make use of campsite facilities , was really helpful in getting us equipt for if we ever wanted to go camping on our own. Our entire group were solo travellers including myself, and we all became great friends and had a good time together. Seb ensured to cater to all dietary requirements and put in a lot of effort to make sure everyone was satisfied and could enjoy the meals. Also We never went hungry. We got a perfect balance of surfing + free time + riding in the bus + enjoying the camping spots. Also Seb recorded videos of us surfing each day and we were able to watch them each dinner time, have a laugh at them , but also analyze them and see what we could improve on which was super interesting and helpful. I could go on forever about things I loves about this trip because I loved every single aspect of it, and honestly I couldn’t recommend it enough.

Learning about Australian history and our nightly ventures to spot local wildlife was also a highlight of this trip! We watched sunrise with kangaroos, got nearly pooped on by koalas 😂 and woke up in super comfy swags every morning to Kookaburra birds laughter!

Just do it! 🤙🏄‍♀️ I had an amazing time on the Australian Surf Bus. I was unsure at first having some old knee injuries, being in my forties, and having a total of 3 surfing lessons 10+ years ago, but the surf coaches and Seb were so great!
Despite some rain and wild water conditions, i STILL had an awesome time. The swags were surprisingly comfortable, easy to assemble and not as small as they looked! The camp sites were fantastic. All clean with good showers and kitchens.

The best week of my lifee!! It's a great experience to have and explore the east coast. You get to surf, camp and experience the local Aussie life. What more can you ask for!. Seb is the best guide you can have, he was so welcoming and friendly. The video analysis at the end of every surf day really helped me improve and correct my mistakes.
All the surfing schools were great, they make sure you're comfortable in the water and hype you up as well. The campsites Seb took us to were top notch.
