The Aquaduck tour was such a fun experience. The guides made it extra special with their great humour and welcoming personalities. They were knowledgeable and shared so many interesting facts about the area in a way that kept everyone engaged and entertained. It was both relaxing and informative, and we loved seeing the sights from land and water. A really enjoyable tour that I would happily recommend to others visiting the Gold Coast.

Took our granddaighter for a ride on the"Ducky Bus". So much fun. Awesome how a bus can transform so quickly to a boat and just glide into the water. The kids all got to take turns at being captain and got a certificate. The whole team were amazing and told us a lot about the gold coast history and the history of our ducky bus. The hour went so quickly.

Such a great time We took our toddler on this for his first time the tour guide was just so lovely and very good at their job. We got some great information along the way. The best part was seeing my toddlers face when he got to drive on the water it was a true highlight.

Today we experienced the AquaDuck Gold Coast and it was absolutely fantastic! The staff were incredibly cooperative, friendly, and made the whole trip smooth and enjoyable. The live commentary was both entertaining and informative, sharing fun facts about the area while keeping everyone engaged. What I loved most was how suitable it was for all ages – kids had a blast trying their hand at driver seat while adults equally enjoyed the unique land-and-water adventure. The ride was safe, comfortable, and truly memorable. It’s a must-do activity when visiting the Gold Coast, and I would definitely visit again for another great experience! Adam’s humour and genuine wit was fab and you could most definitely feel that as a team, they had huge chemistry. Letting the kids drive the Duck was a great touch and appreciated! Waddle we do next? Ride the Aquaduck! This was a great way for our family of three to see the Gold Coast from a different perspective. Lee and Declan were great hosts, pointing out celebrity houses, boats and points of interest around the Gold Coast.

Here’s some extra details to share, hope you don’t mind the novel!

If driving in, parking is at Circle on Cavill, I drove in from the north and missed it first time, but got it after circling and trying again from the south. It was a good hub to explore more of Surfers Paradise afterwards and some Woolies/Coles shopping before hopping back into the car. We chose to drive because public transport can be a little hectic with our autistic little one, but the Cavill train stop is pretty close by too.

The meeting point was a bit tricky to spot at first, but exit the car park lot and it’s literally on the corner of Ferny and Cavill, next to the Mantra Hotel. The room has a central desk that houses Southern Cross Tours, Paradise Jet Boat and Aquaduck tours. When checking in, they take a photo of you (for optional purchase later on the ride). Souvenirs are there too, ranging from shirts, plush ducks and Aquaduck toys, and duck whistles. There are seats at the centre, but our little one enjoyed sitting in a display jet boat until we were ready to board. Take note that there’s no toilets at the centre, but there are some nearby.

When ready to board, they round everyone up and it’s a 30 second walk up to the duck. Seats are pre-allocated and they call you up. We were towards the front, likely because of our little one, and the windows up the front felt like a secure area for him too.

The ride was great, lots of fun facts about the Gold Coast, the Aquaduck (ex-amphibious military vehicle) and lots of duck puns and jokes. Rules are to stay seated when on the road, but can move around when on the water. All the kids get a chance at driving in boat-mode and get a certificate later on the ride.

We finished the ride and drove back to the pick-up point. Explored more of Surfers Paradise and headed back home. This was a great highlight of our trip to the Gold Coast, a fun experience for our little one and enjoyable to be driven around to see more of the Gold Coast with fun commentary.

One of the best experiences! Our tour guides were Gerry and Hannah, they certainly made the ride more fun. Highly recommend experiencing the Aqua duck, the kids got to steer the boat and haven’t stopped talking about it since. Tour guide was amazing. The view was lovely. It's just that even you asked to verify where exactly yu should wait the lady in charge should have mentioned that we still have to grab the paper from them even I have the digital ticket.

We had a great time on our one hour tour on the amphibian Aqua Duck. We booked our tickets at the office at Cavill the day before our tour. Our tour guides Lee and Hannah were amazing. Lee entertained us with “duck” jokes while Hannah gave us the local info including how much some of the waterfront properties we passed on our tour transacted for. Lee even pointed out Jackie Chan’s waterfront holiday home. The kids on the tour had the opportunity to pilot the boat and receive a certificate. Overall, it was a fun way to explore Gold Coast.

On Road and in River in same Vehicle ! The Aquaduck tour is travel in a vehicle wherein you travel on Road and sail in River in the same vehicle ie the Bus which is plying on Road transforms into a Boat when it meets water . That way the ride is unique sort and attracts tourists as they want to experience the thrill of it all. However when you do the trip it is sort of an anticlimax as no thrill as such is experienced but yes one does appreciate the technology of this dual mode of same vehicle running on road and river.
Commentary is given about the buildings and areas which fall in the route and for fun little children onboard are called one by one and allowed to hold the steering of the Boat when the Aquaduck is in the sea and given 'certificates' by the 'Captain' of successfully navigating the Boat.
I think the ride is good just for once but is somewhat overrated.

Great for kids, disappointing for adults Was really looking forward to this as recommended by a friend who is local. Unfortunately disappointed from the start. We boarded the vehicle where we were told where to sit (I was really hoping to sit at the back, and was directed to the front, even when we asked if we could switch). The whole thing was great for kids as they got to captain the boat when in the water, but if an adult you just sat and listened. I have now seen from a few reviews on here that adults had driven the boat - we were not even asked (albeit having paid the same price). The tour was meat to be just over and your, but ended up as about 55minutes. Informative to an extent but disappointing for adults.

Worth the money Azza was a great driver & did a great job letting all the kids have a steer while we were on the water. The hostess was great too

Great fun and worth the pricey tickets. Did this tour on the spur of the moment, and so glad we did. Tour guide and the driver were very knowledgeable and friendly, providing wonderful information along the way. The water part was the best, and we even got a chance to drive. A little pricey for an hours tour, though I’d say still definitely worth it.

This was a great tour & well worth the money. The driver/captain let us steer the boat and take our own photos. It was a fantastic way to explore and get your bearings in the GC if you aren't a local. The crew were funny, informative & all round good hosts.

Unique, fun experience We took our kids (8 and 10) on a tour today and we loved it! Such a unique experience topped off with hilarious and knowledgeable tour guides (Thanks Chris and Jonty). We weren't lucky enough to see any marine life but it didn't matter- it was great fun and the kids really enjoyed getting to drive the boat too! 10/10 recommend this unique, fun way of seeing a slice of the Gold Coast!

Light hearted fun Just fabulous. So silly and fun, kids and teens thoroughly enjoyed it. It was the perfect weather and such a great way to get a good snapshot view of surfers paradise. The team onboard cracked jokes and were super friendly. I highly recommend it because it’s such a nice relaxing hour. The kids even got to steer the boat on the river!

Aqua Duck is one of the great Gold Coast activity with kids. You travel in Gold Coast in a boat on the road, then it gets on the water and become a duck boat.

There was a little bit waiting time because it was on weekend. Recommend to get your tickets before hand.

Once I had the chance to try out a boat tour around the city, and they recommended various significant landmarks and places to visit.

When we disembarked, there was a photo booth available, which was great for kids to take pictures.

This trip was quite suitable for kids because they let them take pictures pretending to be the captain, and the kids even received certificates and stickers.

Amazing hour of fun, Aaron and naomi were super guides, my grandson loved riding the boat doing all the steering, bought a duck whistle on board, gave them a tip after just a small one to show appreciation, no asking for any! Perfect day from desk check in to the picture $15. Perfect ????

Had the most enjoyable time with my granddaughters. We are locals and try and do all the touristy things so the don’t miss out. Naomi and Alex were great, so professional and all commentary was so informative specially for the holiday makers. There is one thing I have to say and that is, my 4 year old granddaughter wanted to know where the duck was.

Aqua duck is great quick tour around surfers paradise Great tour of the area, and of course the highlight of the trip is going from the road to the water!
Our guide, Sophie, was great and had a really lovely, friendly manner with all of us on the tour! The captain was good as well with plenty of knowledge about the area.

This is a quick tour to give a good overview of the main area of surfers in a unique vessel. Great for kids as all the kids had an opportunity to drive the duck in the water!

Travelling on land then into the river was a great experience. Our tour guide Maggie was great and we learnt more about the Gold Coast. Great for kids.
I would recommend booking the seats that face the open window especially if you want to take video.

Duck of a time We had an amazing quack of a time on the duck bus thanx to dean and our captain for showing us around and giving us a chance to drive on the water

It was so lovely to have a little trip on this boat! My girls didn't believe it when the bus went into the water! We have an incredible time. The girls even had the opportunity to drive the boat! We will do it again!

Such a good experience with our tour guide Tracey. An amazing way to see all sides of the Gold Coast. So unique! Tracey was fun and friendly and captain Alex gave us a smooth ride. Photos were reasonably priced, $10 for two prints. It does seem like it’s geared mostly towards kids and the little ones get to have a turn at riding the bike and the aqua duck (ducky) makes funny remarks throughout the ride. However it’s awesome and enjoyable for all ages.

We loved the hour spent on the Aquaduck. Aza & Margie were very knowledgeable about the area. They made it fun to listen too. Especially loved the fact the kids were made to feel special by driving the Duck. Thank you guys, keep up the good work ????

Just wanna say we LOVED our AquaDuck experience with Azza and Steve! They were funny, informative and all round nice guys! They had a great rapore with the clients and just made you feel at ease! I would of gone around and around and around again if I could afford to! Well done on a great experience. The only issue I found is getting there - Google maps took us to another company offering the same deal. Be careful of those ones! Glad we stuck with the OG! Will definitely be visiting again! Sunset is the best time for the tour. Loved it. Lovely guides giving some interesting information about the city icons as you pass them. Kids seated at the front surely enjoyed.

Such a fun hour driving around Surfers Paradise and travelling on some of the waterways. The kids got to have a go driving on the water (the main reason we went and he LOVED it) and the driver and guide were funny and came up with some interesting facts. We even saw humpback whales as we drove along the beachfront!

Definitely better than the Singapore version, although the opportunity for a quiz and some historical knowledge sharing were missed!

My partner and I did a tour today for his birthday, (I didn’t tell the guide that though) we had so much fun and I loved all the fun facts and calming cruising waters. Only disappointment was that it was difficult to hear the people speaking and the duck, I think the speaker needs to be a bit louder. Also the duck didn’t quack once which was a bit sad, we enjoyed it either way though and I would definitely do it again. (Saw some cute swans too)
