ITINERARY:
We invite you to join us on this scenic drive to this magical winter wonderland. You can be sure that you are going to have an unforgettable experience of action and adventure at this family-friendly snow mountain resort. With its picturesque chalets overlooking the mountains and miles of cross-country ski tracks and toboggan fields, Lake Mountain is Melbourne’s closest snow resort, which boasts a wide variety of cross-country ski trails and toboggan fields. Make a snowman, go tobogganing, or just throw some snowballs around. (There will be ticketed access to the Village toboggan run and Mini toboggan run).
We drive right up to the Lake Mountain Alpine Resort, so there is no need to take any lifts or get additional transfer buses to get onto the snow. On the mountain, you’ll have 3 hours to take in the beauty and revel in the snow play, experience exhilarating toboggan rides, and enjoy the wide network of world-class cross-country ski trails or hike up to snow covered summit views. As part of the experience, guests will have the opportunity to support locals and buy something for lunch at Beechworth Bakery in Healesville or while on the mountain (at the guest’s own expense).
We will then visit some of Victoria’s tallest waterfalls, Steavenson Waterfalls in Marysville, before stopping off at the Yarra Valley Chocolaterie and Ice Creamery to get your taste buds tingling. The perfect way to end the day is with a deliciously smooth Hot Chocolate or some of their locally infused ice-cream flavoured with ingredients sourced directly from the kitchen garden. For those who have never been to a snowy destination before, this is an excellent winter wonderland escape.

- Hotel transfers pre/post tour itinerary to a nominated pickup point.
- Personal travel insurance is highly recommended.

1L refillable water bottle, sunglasses, warm clothing, beanie and gloves, snow jacket or raincoat, comfortable walking shoes with tread, money for snacks and meals, small day bag 5-7kg, camera to capture every moment!

Child fare prices apply to infants and children aged from 0 to 12 years old. Children aged 0 to 17 must be accompanied by an adult or legal guardian at all times.
WEATHER:
Please ensure you have checked the average temperatures for the time of year you are travelling and have packed adequate clothing. In the event of rain or inclement weather, your experience will still go ahead, unless contacted by the provider. An alternate scheduled route may operate during extreme weather conditions.
EQUIPMENT HIRE:
Snow equipment hire can be arranged on arrival to Lake Mountain and is at own expense.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
- Snow Equipment Hire: Guests can arrange this on arrival to Lake Mountain Resort, at their own expense payable on arrival. No pre-bookings required. Only Lake Mountain-provided toboggans may be used on the Village Toboggan Run, Mini Toboggan Run, and Koala Creek Run (if open)—no private sleds or makeshift slides allowed. While you may bring your own cross-country skis or snowshoes, these must be hired or sourced off-premises (e.g., in Marysville) before arrival. Lake Mountain only provides clothing and snow boots. Please note there are no ski lessons offered on the mountain this season.
- Mandatory Details: Passenger details are required at the time of booking, including date of birth, food allergies, and a contact phone number.
- Medical Conditions: The tour operator must be notified of any known medical conditions at the time of booking. This is a physically demanding tour requiring a moderate to advanced level of fitness and mobility.
- Fitness Level: An easy to moderate level of fitness is required to complete beach walks.
- Age Restrictions: Child fare prices apply to infants and children aged from 0 to 12 years old. Children aged 0 to 17 must be accompanied by an adult or legal guardian at all times.
- Mobility Considerations: This tour is not suitable for mobility-impaired travellers, including those using wheelchairs, walkers, prams, or strollers.
- Baggage Limitations: Limited storage space on our vehicle, baggage kept to 1 x 5-7kg day bag per person. We are not able to accommodate travellers’ suitcases on day trips, please store at your hotel whilst on tour.
