This was simply one of the most fascinating, comfortable, sociable and enjoyable guided tours I've ever experienced. An unforgettable lifetime experience! This was an AMAZING tour of a beautiful island. The shuttle held 18-20, and we stopped so many more places than the huge 50-60 people excursion buses did. It was a personal tour by a 40+ year island resident who knew every corner (and nearly every resident) of Magnetic Island. I booked directly through their website. For a similar tour, with fewer stops and less personal, my fellow cruise passengers bought a ship excursion for 3x as much! We fed wallabies, koalas, saw many off-the-path places. BEST tour I took on entire cruise! 100% recommend. Book early via website!

Well organised tour by operator. The guide was waiting for us at the ferry terminal when we exited the ferry and continued to keep us entertained all day Crocodile Dundee style. Being a local he took us to interesting places and beautiful beaches. He was passionate about Australian wildlife and gave us a great insight into various animals on the Island.

Thrilled with our behind the scenes 4.5 hour tour with Tim (funny and knowledgeable). Make sure you arrange and book your own ferry transport in advance as it is not included and starts on the island. This was an excellent value and great way to get an overview of Maggie to see how you might do it on your own next time. There are only 10km of roads so much of your time is spent at stops and your 1 hour lunch on your own at horseshoe bay. We got a special treat to see Tim's land where he is growing food for koalas, as well as his hospital for koala rehab (this was a special treat and not on all tours). Highly recommended and had a great time.

Excellent Company & Guide for Maggie Intro Excellent tour provided by Tim, who had an excellent sense of humor and answered everyone's questions. We really felt like we had a great overview of everything on the island after this 4.5 hour (inclusive of 1 hour lunch on your own) trip. Even though it is listed on every communication, we still had people not understand that the tour starts ON Magnetic Island and you have to arrange your own ferry transport. Instead of the fort walk, Tim took us to his ranch and his Koala hospital, both of which were excellent and a great surprise. Highly recommended!

We were given a wonderful three hour tour, from feeding rock wallabies to beautiful scenery along with brilliant local history. Think this tour will take a lot of beating on our travels.

The best bit about behind the scene tour of the Koala Hospital not usually on the tour but wow what an experience. Up close with a koala where most people charge you for the experience. We will be sending a donation to the hospital to thank them for allowing us to do this.

Maggie Island Tour as solo traveller The Maggie Comprehensive tour was an incredible way to experience Magnetic Island. The scenic views and wildlife encounters were unforgettable, with spotting koalas and rock-wallabies being absolute highlights. The tour was well-paced, with an air-conditioned bus taking us to each location, ensuring a comfortable and unrushed experience.

Our guide was charismatic and deeply knowledgeable about the island, sharing fascinating history and unique facts that you wouldn’t easily find online. A visit to a small museum run by a local historian added an authentic touch to the experience.

The atmosphere was welcoming and enjoyable, especially for solo travelers like me. This isn’t a strenuous tour, so it’s perfect for people of all ages and fitness levels. I’d highly recommend it to both groups and solo travellers looking to explore the best of Magnetic Island in comfort and style!

So many stories and insights into the history, nature and people of the island that really allowed me to enjoy the rest of my Maggie time so much more. I've been a few times to the island but this took my understanding to a new level. Neil was super friendly and open to any questions. Even his dad jokes were good.

Brilliant day, great value for money! Brilliant day, great value for money. The bus is waiting for you in the ferry terminal car park, the ferry process itself is easy to navigate. Neil was an excellent tour guide, very knowledgeable and his passion for the island was infectious. It felt like we covered every inch of the island and Neil was never short of interesting facts. Unfortunately we were not able to see any koalas but we were lucky enough to see and feed some wild wallabies. The length of the tour was perfect and Neil kindly offers to drop you anywhere on the island if you wanted to stay. There is no requirement to leave the island after the tour but we felt as though we had done and seen everything. Magnetic Island is definitely worth a visit and if you do we’d highly recommend this tour.

Had the best day. Had a wonderful time with Neil, had my brother & sister in law from Buffalo NY enjoying all the scenery and wildlife. Bought back so many memories of when I went to Maggie as a teenager in the 1960's. Had not been there for a few years and oh how the place has changed. Thoroughly enjoyed our day. Great day touring Magnetic Island! The day we went on our tour was a bit drizzly, but it was our only option so we booked it. Our guide, Neil, was absolutely fantastic! He's patient and has a great sense of humour - we liked him a lot. His knowledge of the local history, wildlife, and flora really added to our day - he has such great knowledge of everything on the island that there was literally no question he couldn't answer. The van was spotless and comfortable, and we really felt that we hit all the highlights of this beautiful island. We saw many, many different species of birds, koala, an agile wallaby and we even got to feed rock wallabies! Definitely a highlight for us. Would recommend to anyone looking for an easy, stress-free day on the island. Thanks again!

Must do this tour We got the ferry over and was met by our tour guide,Tim who is not a tour guide but has lived on the island for 50 years. So he knows everything you need to know about the island. It was a very relaxed tour exploring the history, going for short walks. The commentary and sense of humour was great. We went to Horseshoe bay for lunch where there were markets, a variety of places to go for lunch or have fish and chips on the beach. We swam in the netted area due to the stingers in the water. After lunch Tim took us to his plantation where the grows a variety of different gum leaves to feed the koalas at the koala hospital, which he runs with his wife and his daughter Izzy who is 16 and has her own Netflix show about koalas. We couldn't enter the cages as the koalas were injured but it was still an amazing experience. Loved every moment. Spotted rock walabies, an echnida and lots of different birds. Highly recommend this tour.

Excellent tour for learning everything about Magnetic Island This tour is a must on Magnetic Island. Niall tells you everything about plants and animals. We have seen koalas, rock wallabies, lots of fish and butterflies. The tour is informative and varied. Niall is really good in explaining more than You would expect on such a tour. He likes his job and shares his experience with his customers. A perfect day on Magnetic Island!

By far the best bus tour I’ve been on. Travelling on my own, I thought this would be a fantastic way to get my bearings, see the sites, and get some knowledge and history of this beautiful island. Neil is professional, knowledgeable and friendly, and the tour was everything I was hoping for. Thank you for a fun and informative day.

I was so glad I went on this tour rather than just rock up on the island and wonder what to do next. Neil was incredibly knowledgeable and super funny! By far my favourite part of the tour was getting to see and feed little Wallabies (Neil provides the food!!). If you're taking this tour you're going to stop for lunch, I HIGHLY, highly recommend Noodies on the Beach - while incredibly busy, they were great at getting food and drinks out and maintained their quality. Thank you Neil for making the day seamless and relaxing!

Was loads of fun..and very knowledgeable of the Island..stopped and showed us all aspect of the beautiful Island lots of stops for great pics..lookouts..to beach walks to see ship wreck..to koala bears..patted a rock wallaby..free time on Horseshoe Bay.. and shops..thoroughly enjoyed the tour..

Excellent Tour, do this instead of driving yourself. The tour guide was entertaining & very knowledgeable. If we had done our own tour we would have missed so many places. Highly recommend. Side note, the bus tour schedule is set up to coordinate with the ferry times of Sealink Queensland, not Magnetic Island Ferries.

This tour was an excellent and comprehensive tour of Magnetic Island! Neil was a very intelligent tour guide with extremely in depth knowledge of the geography of the place. It was helpful as we worked out an itinerary for the rest our trip as we got a look at everything. Would definitely recommend!!!

Great Guide! Neil was fantastic, took us to all points of the island. It was a small bus, not many of us onboard, but a good crowd. He picked us up from Horseshoe Bay and as we returned there for a lunch break, we decided to drop off and stay there for the afternoon. We saw a koala and wallabies, and lots of birds; the museum was a great stop. It helped put the geography of this beautiful place into perspective. He gave us a tip about a good walk up to the Forts too. Great to have the perspective of a local.

Contacted Neill some time back to arrange a bus tour specific to a family reunion. We had parents who honeymooned on the island in 1940 just before our father was sent off to WW2. Neill tailored the tour with a visit to the museum and an excellent morning tea. We had more people than we could seat on the bus so Neill was flexible enough to stop more often so that a car full of extras could listen to his knowledgeable humorous commentary. A highlight of the tour was when the Museum team showed (and gave us a copy) of our parents reservation details and signature from Dec 1940. Neill even organised the Museum team to do the research! A memorable enjoyable day!

Best way to see the Island We wanted to “get” magnetic island and Neil definitely showed us all the highlights on this interesting tour. Because we were staying on the island, Neil picked us up from our accommodation before picking up our fellow travellers from the ferry. Neil was full of accurate information, and took us to parts of the Island we wouldn’t have seen on the public bus or without private transport. Definitely recommend the Maggie Comprehensive tour!

We really enjoyed this tour. After visiting magnetic island a few years ago & exploring on foot we didn’t see a great deal so we were very happy to have Neil as our guide to show us the sites this time. Very informative & interesting & a very pretty island. We would recommend to everyone.
