Awesome hot air balloon adventure A wonderful experience. Looked after by Chris and Richard from the pick up to the drop off. The views over the city were amazing and watching sunrise at 2500ft is an incredible sight. I would recommend anyone who is thinking about this to just do it!

Such a magical experience! We loved every minute of our balloon flight over Melbourne with Chris as our pilot. The views were incredible of course, and Chris was very informative and funny too :-) Adrian our driver and booking in with Rebecca was also great! From pick up to saying farewell after our gourmet breakfast we felt so well looked after. The kids (big and little) had a ball getting to go inside the inflating balloon and helping with packing the balloon away at the end. Flying high and low, drifting right between the skyscrapers was next level! Spotting landmarks and waving to residents as we flew by. Taking it all in, including the peace and quiet, way up there. Unsafe and Chaotic Hot Air Balloon Experience: Serious Safety Concerns Yesterday's 28th June 2025 hot air balloon experience was nothing short of terrifying and poorly managed. During landing, we crash-landed into Victoria Park, with high winds pushing the balloon toward tilting over. The operator gave frantic instructions to jump out and drag the balloon, but provided no clear communication or assurance of passenger safety. Emergency and medical services arrived, highlighting the severity of the incident, yet no apology or explanation was offered by the operator afterward.

From a work health and safety perspective, this operator failed to provide adequate duty of care: there was no proper debrief, no attention to passengers in distress, and no visible protocol to manage the emergency situation. The process of landing appeared chaotic and unsafe, lacking both risk mitigation measures and transparent communication with customers. This experience raises serious concerns about the operator's commitment to safety, compliance, and respect for passenger wellbeing.

Disappointing and Unsafe Experience with Balloon Man” or “Unsafe Landing and Poor Customer Care Today 28th June 2025 sunrise tour was supposed to be a special day celebrating both my birthday and my daughter's birthday with our first hot air balloon ride with Balloon Man in Melbourne. Unfortunately, while the sunrise views were spectacular, the overall experience was terrible. The operator was abrupt, demanding, and at times passive aggressive, constantly ordering us to help without much explanation. During landing, we crash-landed unexpectedly into Victoria Gardens with no explanation, which shocked the public and prompted emergency services to attend. The operator showed little concern as I began having chest pain and difficulty breathing. My children and members of the public brought me water, but the operator did not attend to me or offer any real assistance or apology. Instead, he focused on packing up and demanded my kids assist him while ignoring my deteriorating condition. Given the significant price we paid, this lack of professionalism, communication, and care was unacceptable. I cannot recommend this operator and hope they improve their duty of care and customer service.

What an incredible experience! Quinn puts in so much hard work, and Chris was an absolutely outstanding pilot. The thoughtful touches—like the personalized maps—made it all the more special. Chris also shared a fantastic collection of photos and an informative video, capturing the whole journey beautifully. My wife and I had a lovely flight with Chris, who had excellent support from Quinn on the ground. They both made the morning go very seamlessly, we enjoyed the chat, and learnt a lot about ballooning. The flight and landing were both very very smooth. Chris made us all feel very comfortable in the air. Email communication was very easy leading up to the flight, including the phone call check in process the days before the flight.
Chris was very kind and gave us a bottle of sparkling to celebrate our anniversary day.

Amazing & Surreal My girlfriend and I recently celebrated her birthday with a hot air balloon ride and it was an absolutely magical experience. We booked our adventure with a reputable company and from the moment we arrived, we knew we were in for a treat.

The staff (Chris & Quin) at the balloon man were incredibly friendly and professional, making us feel at ease and excited for our journey. The pilot Chris was experienced and knowledgeable, and he took the time to explain the safety procedures and what to expect during the flight.

As we ascended into the sky, we were greeted with breathtaking views of the landscape below. The sensation of floating peacefully and silently through the air was truly unforgettable. The feeling of serenity and tranquility was heightened by the soft, warm glow of the early morning sun.

My girlfriend and I were in awe of the stunning scenery below as we soared over rolling hills, lush forests, and shimmering lakes. The pilot provided us with interesting information about the area, pointing out landmarks and sharing local history.

It was a surreal and humbling experience to see the world from a bird's-eye view.

Super cool! Smooth landing from a superb pilot Chris with 31 years of experience. Amidst all the busy thing he does on the balloon. Still manage to be a great guide and photo/videographer. I am a returning customer of BalloonMan Hot Air Balloon, and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a safe and enjoyable hot air balloon experience in Melbourne. I first flew with BalloonMan in 2016 for my sister's birthday, and we had such a wonderful time that we decided to book another flight this year.

Our pilot Chris on both occasions was very experienced and knowledgeable, and he took the time to explain everything about ballooning to us before we took off and guided us on the flight. He was also very safety-conscious, and we always felt completely safe in his hands.

The flight itself was absolutely amazing. The views from the basket were incredible, and it was so peaceful to float through the air. We enjoyed spotting landmarks in Melbourne and having a different perspective of the city we live in.

After the flight, BalloonMan provided us with free photographs and videos that had been taken using an aerial camera. This was a great added touch, and it allowed us to capture all of the amazing memories from our flight. Our booking also included a buffet breakfast at the Grand Hyatt which was a good end to a lovely morning.

Overall, I had an excellent experience with BalloonMan Hot Air Balloon. The staff were friendly and professional, the pilot was experienced and knowledgeable, and the flight itself was absolutely amazing.
