I booked a lunch reservation for Mother’s Day and my experience at The Lane Vineyard was incredible from the moment we walked in. We received such a warm welcome and felt very well accommodated throughout the afternoon. A shout out to Jules who was absolutely wonderful - she checked in with us regularly for drinks, explained the wine pairings beautifully, and made the whole experience even more enjoyable.

The food was absolutely delicious; every bite was full of flavour. My favourite was the lamb. And of course, I can’t forget to mention the stunning landscape views, which made the whole experience even more special.

Whenever someone asks me about the best spots in the Adelaide Hills for wine tasting, lunch, or even both, I always recommend The Lane Vineyard. It’s truly one of the top places in the region for a delightful lunch and some fantastic wines.

An absolutely phenomenal experience. The food is exceptional — every dish showcases impressive attention to detail, beautiful presentation, and clever, creative flavour combinations that hero the very best local produce. The wines are equally outstanding and perfectly complement the menu.

The views are spectacular, and taking time to wander the grounds adds an extra special touch to the visit. Strongly recommend opting for the set menu with paired wines for the full experience — it’s well worth it.

Absolutely delightful. Done the chefs table and it was an amazing experience. Only thing I could fault was the amount of food. The king fish was perfectly, the sorbet was incredible and each wine was perfectly paired.

Incredible Food, service and ambiance. What a lovely experience. Booked a Long Lunch & Selected the Long Menu - Was not disappointed. The Executive Chef & his team delivered Delicatel lovely flavour balanced, delicious morsels of mouth watering flavours, where each texture & locally sourced ingredient, was individually showcased with great flare but cleverly partnered with some subtle but complimentary flavours. Enjoyed it BIG TIME - What a production!!! Go the Short Menu (3course) or step it up to the (Long Menu) be prepared to be AMAZED.

A great spot to taste some excellent wines. Highly recommend the wine tasting experience. We had Zane as our host and his knowledge and passion for wines was superb. Make sure to book your tasting sessions.

Wedding anniversary lunch We went to The Lane to celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary and it did not disappoint.
We decided to treat ourselves to the chef's table experience - so glad we did, it was so good.
The chef's brought out each course, explained how it was prepared, where it was from, and a little about the farmers who had provided it.
We were waited on by Ben who kept the drinks flowing, explaining to us about the wines that were matched to each course and gave us some history on the winery.
A really enjoyable 4 hours that went by so quickly.
Would love to do it again.

My partner and I had a fabulous lunch at The Lane this week to celebrate my birthday. The staff were lovely and welcoming on arrival and gave us some sparkling as a birthday toast to start our meal. We had a beautiful table overlooking the vineyards. The rose and Lois Lane sparkling were delicious. For the food we particularly enjoyed the MP Angus beef and the croquettes with bread and butter pickles. Thank you for making my birthday lunch so lovely!!!

The Lane Vineyard was such a dreamy stop on our Adelaide Hills wine day. The whole place has this effortlessly elegant vibe, with beautifully manicured hedges that honestly made us feel like we’d been transported to a little corner of Europe.

We did the tasting paddle, which was a great way to try a variety – all so well-crafted and unique. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere felt both polished and super relaxed.

One of our favourite parts was the walk down to the lake – peaceful, scenic, and such a lovely way to soak up the surroundings. You can really feel the care and intention behind everything at The Lane. Highly recommend!

Just a 7 minutes drive from the somewhat formulaic German cuisine of Hahndorf, is a stunning vineyard with amazing food and service. Our party of four shared loads of eclectic appetisers and had one main dish and it was a perfect amount. Service was flawless, professional and friendly. Reservations essential and perhaps drop any mobility challenged at the restaurant entrance as parking is extensive. Charming views on a glorious day. A bottle of Rose was a perfect pairing and the sparkling glass option of Blanc de Blanc was excellent. It was the highlight of our visit to the area.

Wow, what a fantastic dining experience. Lovely settings with great panoramic views and a really wide open space. For our anniversary there was a complimentary bottle of wine, and the tasting menu was great. Lots of mini courses to try a lot of dishes and work our way through a wide variety of favours. Food quality is great, made from locally sourced ingredients and their wine is certainly one of the best to come out of SA both in terms of quality and variety. Really had a great time and the staff were great. Hope to be back soon.

Picnic by the cottage What a wonderful experience. Picked up our picnic hamper at the main building and a nice bottle of Sauvignon Blanc to have a short walk/drive to our designated area. Table all set up with rugs and cushions provided. Beautiful surrounds, sheep grazing nearby and full view of a small lake all surrounded by gum trees and vineyards.

We booked a wine tasting and a meal. The sommelier was very knowledgeable, friendly and attentive. The lunch was exceptional and our waitress was perfect, attentive and helpful without being overbearing. Ever dish we had was on point and felt special.

One of our favourite destinations We have visited the Lane a couple of times now and we can't speak more highly of the experience. Knowledgeable staff where nothing is too hard, the wine is exceptional and the food pairing were on point.

Beautiful venue and delicious food and wine! My husband and I were given a picnic voucher for Christmas and couldn’t wait to book it in! The food was delicious and so filling. It was such a nice afternoon sitting under the Gum tree and amongst the vines. Perfect escape!

Mini Degustation Adventure We had a very enjoyable afternoon of tasting the fabulous creations from the award winning Lane Vineyard kitchen paired with some very delectable wines.
The staff members were friendly and professional. Appreciated the attention to detail.

Came here 8 years ago and enjoyed it very much, both the cellar and restaurant experience! And what made its special was the bubbly which had these continuous bubbles raisinh up from the centre of the special wine glass! And now, I visited to re experience those moments again!

Maybe it was because of the weather, which was rather gloomy, but a little less bubbly, but enjoyed the wine and food experience! And i didn't book in advance, but thankfully, someone cancelled last minute, and me plus wife had the opportunity to sit down for a full lunch.

We liked the special lamb dish. The mains we ordered the beef to share. Was OK. Decent.

Overall, it's pretty good alto, I think the restaurant standard has dropped a bit.. but the bubbly experience is still good!!

We stopped into the restaurant for lunch and ordered the chef's harvest menu.

The first course, pastrami and duck pate were great. Tender, savory and creamy dishes were a nice match and delicious! If that's all we ordered this would have been a 5 star review.

Unfortunately the rest of the meal was just average. The pork dish was good but the fish course didn't match the flavors of the other courses.

Overall it was nice but nothing memorable except the pastrami.

We celebrated 20 years with the harvest lunch menu. The cured fish (trout), fish of the day - snapper with crab and greens and the venison tartare were stand out dishes. Wine is always on point. Autumnal views, company and service completed a stunning day.

We were recommended The lane Vineyard by my wife’s boss unfortunately we had other lunch booking and missed out on the food aspect of the tasting but the people sitting next to us had the upgraded gourmet food and wine pairing it looked divine I could almost taste it a definite for next visit . The wine tasting was a beautiful selection of cool climate wines crisp and citrus the whites and the Pinot Noir were vibrant and smooth easy drinking . Can also recommend this place .

Fantastic Experience I can't speak more highly of the staff at The Lane. We had arranged a picnic experience which had to be moved from the property to the cellar door due to extreme weather. When we arrived there was a mix up with out booking but the staff were amazing! They made us feel very welcome and comfortable and provided use with an absolutely lovely experience with a special glass of bubbles and divine share platter. We had the most beautiful afternoon and can't wait to return.

We came here to celebrate our anniversary. The experience was 10/10! The view, food, wine and especially the outstanding service by Jorgie ( I hope I spell it right!) She explained everything so well and very welcoming from the min we stepped into the door! There are so many great restaurants out there but a warm hearted servicing like this absolutely a bonus. She defo is a keeper! Food are very delicate and you can tell all the details worked hard from the kitchen team! The sorbet was definitely the highlight of the lunch! Jorgie said that is made from the signature sparkling wine and oh yeah! The freshness just perfect for the 42 degrees yesterday.
We picked few wines to go with the dishes too, my favourite was pinot Blanc, not something you can always have.

Beautiful scenary, very friendly staff. Unfortunately they only do high end dining so just did the wine tasting. A few selections to chose from and a well descriptive tasting journey.

We booked the chef’s table for just 2 of us. We have been to many fine dining restaurants, so we can have certain fair comparison. The whole experience was so fantastic for just $295 per person with all the wines and drinks included. 7 course tasting menu includes 5 savory courses and 2 deserts. All the savory courses are just so beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. However, we wish the meal could end at stronger sweet note. Don’t get me wrong. Both deserts were good but just lacked in surprise elements as savory courses, which made us wondering if there will be more coming to the table?! Would recommend the desert chef to add more diverse options and maybe throw in petit 4 in the end. Overall, chef’s table is highly recommended and we would definitely come back while in Adelaide.

Great wedding venue. We looked at so many venues with the lane as a far stand out. It was was an easy choice to have our celebrations here. The staff were so accommodating on the big and small things, very responsive and catered to us. The food and wine is amazing, and it would be impossible for any guest to leave hungry. Everyone we spoke to who attended loved it.

Chardonnay Tasting was exceptional and had the non-Chardonnay drinkers at the table enjoy a sip too! Others tried the Shiraz tasting and The Lane tasting too, all very informative and delicious.
Service was exceptional and location is beautiful overlooking the vineyards.

Wonderful lunch. We just happened to find this winery, trying to find something different, away from the tourist driven lunch options in Handorff. This vineyard has amazing views, which helps, and a fireplace. And a chef that seems to know how to cook, bonus!.
The bread was excellent, we also had the lamb croquette, which was nice and not too dry, went well with the aoli. Then we had the sausage and the oven baked brie with pears. The sausage was nice, done in a red wine sauce. However, couldn’t help but feel it would have been better done over coals to give it more flavour. The brie on the other hand was amazing, went well with the crackers and the bread.
The wines all seemed to be good, we chose a couple of whites which were both really nice.

Had a wonderful vegan experience here. The service is excellent and wine delicious. The food was amazing. Imaginative, plentiful, and importantly yummy. Such a nice atmosphere, too.

Exceptional experience I booked a wine blending and lunch experience for my partner and I for a date day. The customer service was exceptional. Dan went above and beyond, to ensure our day was perfect. He even showed us the cellar doors and explained the wine making process to us.

Every dish in the restaurant was delicious especially the dessert. The restaurant staff including; manager were very friendly and attentive.

The day was perfect and we will be returning!

A blended experience From the cellar door and restaurant outlooks we took in stunning, serene, panoramic views of vines, trees and rolling hills with a splash of Autumn colour. We enjoyed the experience of blending beautiful red wines in a cosy atmosphere and were attended to by knowledgeable friendly staff. A wonderful experience all round and a special thank you to Agnes. We'll be back.

Blend your own experience We did the BYO experience at The Lane for our anniversary. Even though my wife isn't a red wine drinker, this did not make a difference given the service offered by Pascal. The attention and advice he gave to us was outstanding, made even more impressive by the fact that German is his first language. This extended to him also giving us a taste of their white wines as well as allowing us to bottle our own wine which we blended to take away. On top of this, the location is amazing. When you look at the price v the wine we took away, plus the spare wine we had whilst blending and the cheese and crackers, it was actually well priced. Of course, we just had to buy 6 wines to take away to top up the wine fridge :)

Our third visit over 3 years. The Gather experience just gets better each time. Lovely helpful staff who are very knowledgeable. Great snacks that matched well with the winners. Then lunch. Relaxing atmosphere, well presented and prepared food. A lovely relaxing experience in a beautiful setting.

Beautiful vineyard and great tasting experience. We did the wine flight with food, which was focused on experiencing the taste of the wine with and without food. The wines were delicious and food was great. Catered for a guest that was gluten free and dairy free also.
