My partner and I had a fantastic experience on the Dolphin and Seal snorkeling tour. It was a brilliant authentic experience with truly wild animals. It was amazing to see the seals frolicking beneath us and the dolphins leaping out beside the boat.

The team at Moonraker were incredibly friendly, helpful and did their upmost to get us up close to dolphins, as unpredictable as they can be. While seeing dolphins is not always possible, it is absolutely worth taking that risk to support an ethical family tourism business with animal welfare at the forefront of their mind; and with Moonraker's "see a dolphin or come back for free" guarantee, there's no real risk at all!

Fantastic adventure. Beautiful boat. I had the best time. I went once with my daughter and again by myself. Loved every part.
The whole crew were fantastic and looked after everyone.
We were given plenty to eat, and you could purchase other drinks and snacks if needed.
We saw dolphins, swam with seals and weedy sea dragons.
I highly recommend this, and I'll do it again. The photo package was well worth it, and I recommend getting it.

Absolutely the best! Great service, the staff were super friendly, cautious and knowledgeable. We had a great experience as a family swimming with the seals. The waves were strong but the staff were super helpful and they kept an eye on everyone to ensure their safety. Will definitely be going again to try another tour.

Nice cruise ride with dolphins view We spotted dolphins playing and roaming around the cruise, and even saw seals on our way! It was amazing there was plenty of seats to roam around.

Okay tour to go on a boat It was a ok tour to go in a nice day, bur not sure what this tour has of “luxury’ as the title says, they only provide basic tea, and anything extra you had to pay. We only saw 2 dolphins swimming bay, and the seals were to far to see them. Just think this tour as a nice ride on a boat that’s it.

Amazing experience Based on what is on the booking site, the company met everything they promised. We had an awesome time and were able to see many dolphins swimming underneath us and from afar. Absolutely loved the seals, they are really chilled and swam around us. We were lucky that the water was really clear on the day we went, but cold!! If you choose this trip, be sure you are chilled and flexible. There is nothing the tour operator can do but unfortunately, there are always ignorant pushy tourists and they certainly messed the toilets. I would also suggest accepting a pool noodle when swimming with the seals. I am a competent swimmer and have snorkeled before however I found having the noodle allowed me to enjoy the wonder of the seals without worrying about swimming. Also take 2 towels and warm clothes as the water was freezing so was good to warm up afterwards. We had a lovely young girl Tilley explain everything and she was amazing and very clear and concise with instructions. Again, we had a great time and were lucky with dolphins. Don't hold it against the company if there are none, bad weather etc, go with an open mind. We loved it and will go again.

We love Moonraker! This about my 5th time on the boat, this time was for my 50th. I felt it was time to share my love of the water and boats with my son. With his anxiety I wasn't sure if he would get in the water for a swim, so we boarded as sightseers. The staff were so amazing my son has asked to come back for the swim. Every time I have been on board the staff have been nothing short of accommodating, helpful and friendly, even if they have changed over the last 15 years since my first trip. Looks like I will be back with several kids, as my son now wants to bring his mates haha

The staff were incredibly attentive, friendly, and informative, sharing interesting facts about the marine life and making sure everyone had a great time.

We were lucky enough to see multiple pods of dolphins playing in the water, which was an incredible sight, and we even spotted some seals! The whole experience was breathtaking, and we couldn’t have asked for a better outing.

We had the most incredible experience with Moonraker Dolphin Swims in Sorrento! From start to finish, everything was well-organized, professional, and truly magical.

The crew was friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about marine life, making the whole adventure even more special.

Swimming with wild dolphins and seals in their natural habitat was an experience like no other. The guides ensured everyone felt safe and comfortable, giving clear instructions and making sure we got the best possible view of these amazing creatures. The water was clear, and being so close to the dolphins as they swam effortlessly around us was absolutely breathtaking.

The boat itself was spacious and well-maintained, with plenty of room to relax in between swims. Even if you’re not getting in the water, the sightseeing and marine wildlife make it well worth the trip.

Unprofessional and tour cut short I would not recommend this company. Firstly the crew hadnt received any info about my daughter and I requesting plant based meals while on board, so the young guy had to scrounge around trying to find something for us. Secondly there was no team leader amongst the crew so communication wasnt great in regards to what was happening during the tour. Thirdly we were lucky to be out there for 2 and a half hours, defs not 3, maybe the staff couldnt be bothered as this would have been the 2nd tour for the day. If youre after something professionally run I would look elsewhere. I thought the owner Tori would have contacted me to apologise for overlooking our meals, but no nothing!

This was one of the most magical experiences I've had in my life and the best gift voucher idea from my bestie. I went on the morning 3 hour dolphin and seal swim tour and I can't recommend it enough. We saw so many dolphins, including a baby with it's mom. When you look down in the water, the seals and dolphins make eye contact as they swim under you. It's better than I could have imagined. The staff are all incredibly friendly and informative on how to apply snorkel equipment and safety procedures. I'm definitely making this my regular treat!

Loved this experience! We saw the seals so close up and were able to swim and dive with them, and the crew looked around the bay until we found a big pod of dolphins that even had a baby. The family and staff that ran the boat were really lovely, too. Would highly recommend!

Even if you don't get to see it all, this is still a great experience Once we got past the confusion about my booking due to poor communication, it was good. Moonraker had canceled the 2-hour afternoon swim with seals tour for Saturday, which was supposed to start at 3:30pm and upgraded me to the 3-hour dolphin and seals swim that same day at 1pm. Unfortunately, this change was not clearly communicated to me, with an email showing 2 different start times. When I called them that morning to sort it out, I realized we would not be able to make the 2-hour drive in time for the 1pm tour. They offered the Sunday tour for me, which worked out.
The diving suit was challenging to get on, and I felt very constricted, but I was told it should loosen up once in the water, which it did. They also brought an extra suit on board the boat just in case. The boat was comfortable and well-equipped. The staff was friendly and provided clear instructions. We attempted to slide in the water with the dolphins on 5 different instances and I never managed to see the dolphins. I did however manage to swallow much of the seawater. Visibility wasn't too good, which I think may have played a factor. I did see the dolphins a few times while sightseeing on the boat.
I had a more positive experience with the seals swim. Although after being advised by the crew that we shouldn't get too close to the structure that the seals were lounging on as they have been known to go potty over the side, I didn't get close enough to see much for the first half of the swim. I did get to see the graceful stingray gliding across the sea floor. Then, I found my spot, near where the seals were diving into the water and I just stayed floating, allowing them to swim up and around me. They were so curious! It was a wonderful experience.
The sandwiches and banana bread that were served for lunch were very good. I had seconds of banana bread. They also have a hot shower and a nicely appointed washroom available for guests. You can also purchase photos and videos that the crew takes in the water for a nominal fee. I recommend this tour.

Great experience well worth the money. Great service, nice boat and the inclusions make it a great experience I traveled with two friends and we absolutely love this tour.
The staff were really lovely and really helpful and the boat was awesome, lots of space, toilets one had a shower to rinse off and there’s a cafe/bar where you can buy snacks if you need, although lunch is included!
They had lots of new wetsuits and as it was October the water and air was cold so they had thermal jackets for over our wetsuits.
I thought this was a great tour and we really had a good time. Value, fun and we got what we paid for plus more.

Was such a great experience! We did a swimmer and a non swimmer. First we got to swim and see the playful seals! And then we swam with the dolphins! The boat was superb and the staff was absolutely amazing! Would do it again and would recommend!!

Amazing! We did the seal swim only and blew my expectations. Bought this as a bday gift for my best friends, and she loved it also. The staff had a lot of warmth and super nice. We bought our own food on board as we always have the munchies, and staff didn't mind. They do offer hot drinks and a snack on the boat ride back. We had carrot cake, and it was yummo! They offer all the snorkelling gear needed, and the swim suit is optional! I didn't wear mine. You are very close and personal with the seals in the water, was amazing! I loved every minute of this adventure and cannot wait to do it again.

Comfortable way to see marine life and our environment Overall a beautiful day out on Port Phillip Bay. We did see dolphins, seals and various birds at Pope Marine Park.
Boat arrived late, as in 30 minutes,

I thoroughly enjoyed my experience with Moonraker for dolphin and seal sightings. The sightings were fantastic, and I truly loved it; the experience was really good. However, I do have a couple of suggestions to enhance the overall experience. Firstly, I believe it would be beneficial to have a board or designated area on the pier indicating the location of the boat/ferry. This would make it easier for visitors to locate the departure point. Additionally, while snorkeling was part of the experience, it wasn't clearly advertised by Red Balloon. I wasn't prepared for it, which slightly affected my enjoyment. I suggest clearly mentioning and advertising this aspect so that participants can come prepared and fully enjoy all aspects of the trip. Despite these suggestions, I still believe this experience is a must-do, and I highly recommend it to everyone. The staff at Moonraker were exceptional, making the trip even more enjoyable with their professionalism and friendliness.

Such an incredible experience. Staff were impeccable - flexible with ensuring everyone onboard got ample opportunities to swim and see the dolphins and seals. Calm and smooth travel with brilliant commentary. There were great food and drink options for such a tiny boat that was spotless (super clean) boat. 8am start was great to avoid Sorrentos traffic and the hot midday sun. We loved every moment and would go with them again!

Sightseeing? Ha Ha Ha We were told it was a sightseeing tour of the bay. Nearly $400 later, we sat in the boat near some seals and watched the others snorkeling. Totally boring trip and a financial rip off!

Great experience!! This was a really cool trip with super nice employees that are willing to answer questions. Sadly I couldn't swim with Dolphins because they were too shy that day but we still saw a few. They also have really good new looking wet suits they keep you really warm.

Loads of dolphins and seals My daughter and I sail regularly on wildlife tours, and as Peninsula locals, we both love Moonraker. We’ve been on a variety of boats, and this vessel is big, clean, and provides awesome visibility. The crew were all equally friendly, and excited to show us the local marine life. We loved our tour, and would highly recommend.

Nice swim with dolphins and seals. We return to port without doing the snorkel with the sea dragons "because of the tide" and we were disappointed that there was no compensation for this. Not worth it renting the camera offered, quality is really poor, even if they assured it was similar to GoPro...

3hr tour on the bay 3hr tour of the bay and got to see seals and dolphins up close. Crew were very friendly and got some gear photos up close. Well worth it!!

Ok Trip was ok. More about other things than actual seeing dolphins. Even though we had a thick wetsuit it was freezing especially after getting back to the boat and waiting another 20min to get to the next spot.

The water temperature was 16° and 20° air temperature, was bit cold but we saw seals, unfortunately no luck for dolphins and some locations were hard to approach due to weather conditions. In general was well.

Seal and Dolphin trip Nice boat trip with a very good crew. Trip was Informative. Sadly no dolphins, which was the main reason for booking the trip. I thought you'd be fairly certain you would see a few dolphins, so we were a little disappointed, having driven 90 mins to get there. The boat was clean, toilets were on board, and we were given a couple of biscuits too. Trip was good. We saw the seals and some birds. We understand these are wild animals so it's up to them whether they decide to show up

Couldn’t recommend the Dolphin swim enough. The swim with the seals was awesome as they were so playful and swam really close to the group. We did see dolphins which was great however they didn’t want to swim with us on the day but still a really fantastic experience. The staff were all super friendly as well!

Amazing experience I was able to swim with dolphins, seals and a weedy sea dragon, so the crew (and the animals) absolutely delivered! I could see that the crew had to balance a number of variables; tracking down dolphins and seals, respecting distance and safety of the animals, and of course making sure swimmers were OK. The staff were very knowledgeable about the creatures, and told us many facts about their behaviour which added to the day. I think it is important to remember, as we are told, that these are wild animals, and they will move around the bay and not always 'perform'. Having said that, I feel grateful that I was able to go out on this cruise and have an unforgettable experience. Dolphins swam right beneath us at one stage, and we swam very close to seals in another location.

1. Afternoon trip started from 1:30pm. Weather was good. Safe and comfy on board with beautiful views of the sea. Sighted dolphins along the way, and the crews arranged 3 groups x 10 passengers to watch and swim with dolphins at close distance. However, my friend and I were left behind to form Group 4, and when it's our chance to get into the water, the dolphins left. So we were the only 2 people on board who got no swim with dolphins and were told this situation is not covered by their dolphin guarantee. We came back later to search for the dolphins but no luck at all. Thanks for the crews' effort but it's totally disappointing.
2. Went on the journey to the seal pavilion where plenty of seals are to be sighted and some playfully get very close to us in the water. This is the best part of the trip. A lot of fun!
3. I got my best shots from GoPro uploaded and see how they look. The videos somehow stuck at 2/3 of the whole length when I play them on laptop, with sound goes on to the end but picture freezes. Hope someone can help me here if possible. But anyway, just get a water-proof cover for your own phone would be much easier!
4. Another disappointment when we were told the water is not clear enough to see sea dragons, which is common, as we were interested for what was posted on the website.

Kids loved it. 10/10 everytime Second time and it was still amazing.
I surprised my partner and her/our children and it was as good as the first time.
I have done the activity before so wanted to share it with my family for a summer holiday day out. It was just as good if not better!
The staff were so incredibly helpful and made sure the kids got to see the animals plus gave them lots of snorkeling lessons. I cant say enough about how good this tour was, food, drinks and friendly staff it was money well spent. See you in a few years!

Not happy and no recommended First of all i’ll give tripadvisor a one star and never going to book my plans with them, on a day we had booking it was no 3 hours cruise just 90 minutes and the time tripadvisor confirmed was 1:00pm, I took my 2 and 3 years old on a sun from 12:30 but after half an hour waiting and seeing no cruise I rang the company and they told me you don't have any booking with us at all, finally after long conversation over the phone they found out tripadvisor just sold us the ticket without any booking with the moonraker company. Any way after 1 hour waiting they fit us on a 90 minutes cruise and we haven't seen any dolphins by our ends. The only thing I can say is they have a friendly and nice crews otherwise It was our second time with this company and haven't seen any dolphins never go back and not recommend at all specially booking with tripadvisor.

NOT WORTHY SIGHTSEEING Saw the $85 sightseeing package on booking.com and thought it was only a sightseeing service. In fact we were joined with people who are going for swim. And for the 2hours we were waiting on the boat under the sun as the boat is not shaded. The most upset thing is that there were not enough seats (too many people at the same boat) and most of the seats are very wet because the people swimming are seating with the sightseeing person. Really don’t recommend anyone to spend $85 for “sightseeing”. Just a waste of money and time waiting for people swimming. Booking.com should take this misleading sightseeing down.

Loved the experience. Amazing animals viewed up close, within hands distance from gorgeous fur seals and beautiful fish including the weedy seadragon . Unfortunately we couldn't swim with the dolphins as they had a baby, but we saw so many from the boat, very cute. Knowledgeable, friendly staff that genuinely care about the environment which is a plus.

The crew were fantastic. The first part with the seals was amazing. Absolutely spectacular. Unfortunately the rest of the tour was disappointing. We did not get to swim with the dolphins as they had a baby so we were not allowed to get in the water with them. This is completely understandable. We got to view the dolphins from a distance and it was quite difficult to see them. Afterwards we went to warm up with a complimentary hot drink only to find no hot water was left and I was told I would have to purchase a hot drink if I wanted one. It says morning tea refreshments included and reading other reviews people got things like muffins, yet we got nothing. We stopped and went to swim with the sea dragons on the way back, yet only one was seen which was a little disappointing. Toilets also do not lock which may be a big deal for some other people.

The first half of the tour was excellent as we got to swim near the fur seals. It was a fantastic experience.

The 2nd half of the tour was rather disappointing but credit to the boat crew who did their best to locate the dolphins. It took a long time to finally locate the dolphins but the boat crew said that we had to head back to shore for the boat to take the next batch of passengers. Although we did manage to sight the dolphins from afar, we could not go into the waters to get close to them as the dolphins were at a location where we were not allowed to go into the waters.

Due to time constraints, we were told by the boat crew that we could not do the Marine Park snorkel to see the weedy sea dragons which was included in our package. My kids were very disappointed as they were looking forward to Marine Park snorkel which we did not get to do.

The boat and crew were excellent and professional. They have done their utmost best to give the best possible experience. We did hear boat crew members saying that at least they got to sight the dolphins.

However our package of $651.60 was for the total swim experience inside the waters and not partial sightseeing from the boat when we were not allowed to go inside the waters.

We were especially disappointed that the Marine Park snorkel that we paid for in our package did not happen.

Based on the excellent google reviews on Moonraker Dolphin Swims, we were hoping to gain a full experience. However paying $651.60 was simply not worth the partial experience we had.

Can be fun but unfortunately isn’t always… I have been with them the second time. The first time was really nice. We were able to see some dolphins (a little away though) and the seal swim was amazing.
The second time it was very unpleasant!!!
After 10min at the seal station we had to come back and we didn’t see any sea dragons at the second part or any dolphins at the third.
We were still fully charged and the staff didn’t reply when I asked for discount.

Moonraker tour was AMAZING.

I'm usually really bad on boats, I get very seasick but it was a great ride. The crew were so nice, knowledgeable and gave very clear instructions.

Swimming with the seals was soo cool! They get really close to you, one even stole a pool noodle from a lady in our group ???? and started playing with us.

We got to see heaps of dolphins but unfortunately we were unable to swim with them as they were feeding at the time. However, as they are wild animals the crew advised it best to let them be for our safety and the dolphins!

Even though we didn't swim with the dolphins it was still a fantastic experience.

I have not stopped talking about it since going and I HIGHLY recommend booking with them.

This is a very beautiful, niche, hidden cafe. As mysterious as the Hobbit. His food is very good, especially the "Moroccan Soup" which "doesn't seem to be on the menu". The waiters here are very nice and very friendly. The presentation of the food is simply artistic. The taste is also great, not just beautiful but not delicious. Not long after I came to Australia, my English is not very good. I hope for forgiveness if there is something wrong.

Absolutely amazing. I went with my daughter as part of her school leadership group. Nothing was to much for them. Had all the answers to any questions that you had. Swimming with the seals was fantastic. Highly recommended. We also saw a massive stingray under us. The dolphins were fantastic to see as well.
