Step up to the crease for a winning day out in Bowral! Start your innings at Bowral Honey Farm, set within the beautiful grounds of Retford Park. Don a beekeeper’s veil and get up close to the hives for a fascinating look and learn about the fascinating workings of a colony, guided by a local expert. Afterwards, enjoy a guided honey tasting and relaxed morning tea (with fresh sourdough) on the terrace, featuring 6x different floral variety honeys; all served with views of the lake and surrounding gardens. It’s a delicious and immersive introduction to the world of bees, honey and the rhythms of life in the Southern Highlands.
Then it’s just a short drive to the Bradman Museum & International Cricket Hall of Fame, where the story of Sir Donald Bradman and the game he came to define, comes to life. You’ll be guided by a passionate volunteer who’ll share little-known stories, iconic moments and insights into Australia’s most beloved sport. After the guided tour, guests are welcome to explore at their own pace wandering through the museum’s extensive exhibitions, interactive displays and a rich collection of archival footage and multi-style didactic videos that bring the global game to life.
Whether you’re a die-hard cricket fan or simply curious, this unique tour celebrates two of Bowral’s most fascinating residents: the honeybee and The Don.
We need a minimum of 12x guests to run this session. Ideally it would be coach or bus tours.
There is an option to add lunch to this visit, which consists of shared platters of sandwiches and fresh seasonal fruit. $25pp.
