Helen and Trevor were amazing hosts and were very friendly and nothing was ever to much trouble. We were able to book two days fishing charter on the islands boat. The fishing was awesome we caught some great fish which the chef prepared for our dinner that night.
Helen also arranged for us to go mud crabbing . Tony was our local indigenous guide, he was very accommodating and full of knowledge we both felt very honoured that Tony shared his time and homeland with us. We were literally slogging through mangroves looking for crab holes in a known croc waterway, it was amazing and an experience we will never forget!
The island is stunning and all about nature.
Your accomodation is a beautiful clamping tent right on the beachfront, the views are spectacular. The colour of the water is beautiful and very blue.
All staff were lovely and so friendly.
Both Steve and I were so sad to leave and left feeling like we were leaving great friends.
We both very highly recommend a visit to Banubanu Retreat ( Bremer island) the memories will last a lifetime.
Thank you to Helen and Trevor for sharing your beautiful retreat with us .

My family and I spent a day on the island and it’s was one of my favourite days!
I can not wait to come back again! The food was delicious and who knew you could snorkel in the NT!
If you go to Nhulunbuy add this to the MUST do list!
Highly recommended day out from Nhulunbuy.
Our accommodation in the penthouse was perfect - comfortable bed, ensuite, quality linen, a large deck overlooking the beautiful Arafura Sea. We could walk down to the beach to swim, snorkel over the coral or just relax under a beach shelter. There are walks around the island and over to the western beach.
The staff were always friendly and accommodating - Romi and Lenny in the dining area, Andrew and Sean preparing delicious meals and Shane, who made Stephen’s holiday by taking him to many fly fishing hotspots!
I cannot recommend a visit to this beautiful resort highly enough, you will be so well looked after.
