We had a fabulous time on the Discovery tour this morning with Brenda. We saw all the key tourist attractions, while learning lots about Broome and its history as we drove around. The bus was comfortable with great air conditioning. We even got a snack, a bottle of water and a refreshing towel as part of the experience. Highly recommended.

One morning in Broome You go to all the places promised in the advertising.I would like to have seen an old master pearler’s house,just from the street,such as exists or did exist at cnr of Walcott and Guy Sts and was once the home of author Rosemary Hemphill(”The Master Pearler’s Daughter”) who lived there as a child in the thirties.Our tour guide had not heard of Rosemary Hemphill nor her wonderful book and did not know anything of the house.I do not mean to be unkind ,but for me(and others were clearly of a different view)the tour was not enhanced by our guide.I felt sorry for an old man who was a slow walker and had difficulty negotiating other than flat surfaces.Our guide paid him no attention and he was left on his own near the bus,rather than assisted to some points of interest among the rocks at Gantheaume Point.We were told that Lord McAlpine was once mayor of Perth before”coming up here”but he was not,and on the topic of McAlpine,his statue has been removed from Cable Beach pending foreshore works.Staff of the Cable Beach Resort inform that they think his statue is now “somewhere in Chinatown”but our tour guide did not mention it ,although McAlpine House was pointed out.As to the master pearlers,we were informed they were invariably youngest sons of English aristocrats who were given a schooner and bundled off to out of the way Broome.As far as I can ascertain,that was sometimes the case,but many master pearlers were not of that ilk eg Rosemary Hemphill’s father.My wife and I found her manner and her speech coarse,but again,many seemed just fine with that and one cannot please all the people all of the time.In these hard times,I wish this business,as with every business, success,and hope my review is of interest to readers and to it.read moreread less

A Broomeandaround quickie - private sightseeing tour between cruise disembark & flight We booked a private tour between disembarking our cruise ship & catching our flight & were guided by Brenda & the owner Candy around Broome in an air conditioned minibus . Their historical knowledge of the area & entertaining anecdotes made for a great introduction to Broome & we wished we had more time to properly explore. Iced cold towels, snacks & water were provided & were well received as was the Broome & Beyond Traveller’s Guide booklet & map. We saw dinosaur footprints , the Japanese cemetery, stunning coastline , learnt about the WW2 bombing of the Catalina Flying Boats in Roebuck Bay as we toured thru the towns streets & dropped in for a refreshing Ginger Beer at Mateo’s . A fun, informative,interesting local tour. We really enjoyed our Broome and around town tour guided by Candy. There was a great mix of visiting town highlights such as Cable beach, Geantheume point, Town beach and all of the spots in between! Candy is a great guide -fun, informative, relaxed and clearly passionate about Broome. She told us all about the history of the places we visited and lots of interesting current information that comes from being a local. We loved the care on the guests - lavender scented cool towels after wed been for a short walk and snacks. We’re sorry to hear the experience wasn’t quite what you expected, though we’re glad you enjoyed the crocodile feeding and the informative talk, it really is such an educational tour.
It’s important to know that the Malcolm Douglas Crocodile Park is a dedicated wildlife refuge — not a zoo — focused on the rescue, rehabilitation and long-term care of crocodiles and other native animals. Many of the enclosures may appear quiet at times, especially depending on the season, but that’s by design. Each space is carefully maintained to suit the needs and behaviours of the animals, allowing them a calm and safe environment.
The grounds may look natural and rugged, but they are in fact meticulously managed to create the best conditions for these animals to thrive — particularly in the unique Kimberley climate.
We’re proud to support a facility that plays such a vital role in wildlife care and conservation in Western Australia. Thanks again for joining us, and we hope you’ll come back and see more of what Broome has to offer.

Crocodile Park tour We took a tour with grandkids to go to Crocodile Park. Picked up on time, great tour of Crocodile Park, and then we got dropped off at markets, at town beach. Driver offered us this option which was ideal. Good information provided from driver as well. Crocodile Park was great as well, kids loved it. Must do tour in Broome. You get see pretty much everything you've been wanting to see. The stops are not too long, not too short, the guides are absolutely amazing, enthusiastic and have a wealth of knowledge. They looked after each individual and love what they do. It's always nice to see people enjoying their jobs. The coach was very clean and comfortable. The snack and water was a nice bonus as well as discount vouchers for local shops. Just one more reason why you should do this tour at the beginning of your stay in Broome.

We would like to thank Broome and Around for their fast caring response to our very minor Mark from bus door on car. Contact from both driver Brenda and management was fast, pleasant and no fuss. Offers to remediate was offered before we even asked. This has been an exceptional experience which shows the professionalism and people first mindset. It was this contact that helped us to waver the offer to rectify as there are bigger issues in life to deal with.
While we did not have a tour with the company it felt like we did.
