Day 1 – Scenic Flight & Cultural Welcome
Your adventure begins with a breathtaking flight across the ancient landscapes of the Kimberley. Traveling from west to east, you’ll enjoy unparalleled views of the rugged Osmond Ranges and stunning terrain as we journey to the iconic Bungle Bungle formations. Along the way, we’ll pause at Halls Creek for a traditional pioneers’ morning tea, offering a taste of local history.

Upon landing in Purnululu, you’ll be warmly welcomed with a Muntha (Welcome to Country) by your Aboriginal guide. Savor freshly made damper with bush honey, accompanied by tea or coffee, as you delve into the cultural and spiritual significance of this sacred land.
After refreshments, embark on a guided exploration of Cathedral Gorge and the awe-inspiring Beehive Domes. This accessible 5 km walk brings the land to life through captivating Dreamtime stories, revealing the deep cultural and natural heritage of the area.

Following a day of discovery, relax in comfort at a wilderness lodge where a delicious dinner awaits (alcohol available for purchase). Enjoy a restful evening, surrounded by nature, in preparation for another day of adventure. 

Wilderness lodge rooms are powered tented cabins with ensuites – flushing toilets and hot water, private decks; option for a double or twin (2 single beds) room.

Day 2 – Continued Exploration & Scenic Return
Start your morning with further exploration of the northern Bungle Bungle Range, including visits to Echidna Chasm and the Mini Palms walk. Over two days, you’ll cover 5-10 km of walking, fully immersing yourself in the majestic beauty of Purnululu. Your Aboriginal guide will continue to share fascinating insights into the region’s history, geology, and cultural significance, deepening your connection to this extraordinary landscape.

Your journey concludes with a scenic flight back to Broome, soaring over the stunning landscapes of Fitzroy Crossing and Tunnel Creek. Arrive back in time to witness the sun setting over Cable Beach—a perfect close to this unforgettable adventure.
