Fabulous day out - highly recommended My wife and I greatly enjoyed this tour through the Barossa Valley with another couple, led by our guide Mike who was interesting, knowledgeable and basically an all-round very nice guy. After a pleasant 1 hour drive from Adelaide we visited Chateau Yaldara (superb) and Corryton Burge (nice views, just-OK wines) followed by a delicious cheese tasting and lunch at Wanera. In the afternoon we visited Maggie Beer's Farm Shop (well worthwhile) and our final vineyard Kalleske Wines (small, intimate, nice wines).
All the wineries were very welcoming, engaging and had interesting tales about their wines and history. Everything was included in the tour price, which was very reasonable and made for a smooth, easy day out. I look forward to another tour with Adelaide's Top Food & Wine Tours next time we're in the region.

Coast Vales and Hills Tour This is a jewell of a tour. Great drive to touristy areas and to some less travelled spots on the way, which we very much enjoyed. Mike's commentary was tailored made for our little group of 3. We were really taken care of. Good vibes all along. We did so much in these 8 hours: we touched art, good food, wine tasting, museum, animal encounters, beautiful views, historical commentaries, good company and laughs. It's a great way to have an overview of Adelaide regional treasures.

A relaxing day in McLaren Vale We had such a great day visiting wineries that we would often not think to stop and visit.

Lunch was delicious and all the staff at the seller doors were so helpful, knowledgeable and good fun.

Vince, our guide, was very knowledgeable, friendly and we really enjoyed such a beautiful, relaxing day.

Disappointing day thanks to tour guide. I am giving this review a 2 only because i enjoyed the wineries. If i was simply reviewing the wineries it would be 5 stars. All the staff were friendly and the tastings weren't rushed. If i was rating this purely off the tour guide (and one of the bosses of the company), my review would be 0 which pains me as I like to support local tourist operators.

I have done lots of tours across Australia and the world (winery and non-wine related) and i've never been so offended within the first minute of a tour. Nowhere in the tour description did it mention that no smoking was allowed on the tour. I understand not on the transport and to smoke in designated areas while on tour, but Danny made it clear that it wasn't acceptable for me to have one during the day and made me commit to not smoking the entire day while i was out. Danny was aggressive in how he asked this and made me feel incredibly uncomfortable and to be honest it completely ruined the day for me. I didn't want to get back in the car with Danny every time a tasting stopped. There was no going back from that moment.

Many people have commented on Danny's commentary, but I felt like i was being talked at most of the day rather than being engaged in a conversation. When Danny suggested we could get dropped off in Glenelg on the way back (came to find out it's closer to his home) he was defensive when I said we weren't interested in his recommendation. "it was just a suggestion".

There were a few comments that were almost verging on racist.

Please update your tour description to include no smoking on the tour all day so that you aren't putting new rules on your guests on the day and people are aware of what they're paying for. This wasn't a cheap tour. If you're unhappy with something, please be polite to your guests about it and don't make them feel uncomfortable.

I had a small nap on the way back to Adelaide and pretended to be asleep for the whole journey, so I didn't have to engage in any further conversation.

Awesome experience! From the inquiry process, to the booking, to any small change or question Innez went above and beyond! On the tour day, it was relaxed and highly personalised. My husband and I had the most amazing experience and we highly recommend using top foodandwinetours as a way to explore the SA wineries!

Just book these guys! Absolutely awesome day with Danny our driver who was very knowledgeable on the area as well as guiding us to the best wineries. Love that he didn't choose the main player wineries and nothing was ever a rush with plenty of wine tastings at each stop including a great lunch platter. Nice small group. Highly recommend!

Great day out. Our Tour Guide Danny went above and beyond our expectations. He allowed plenty of time at each attraction before moving on to the next one. He was very informative on the history of Hahndorf as well as the wineries. Danny is very good at his job.

Sunshine and smiles We were very impressed with our whole tour and knowledgeable driver - Bruce! From pick up to a short informative drive around central Adelaide city and then onto and into the hills surrounding, we were fed excellent tidbits and local history the whole day. Lovely day out in the Adelaide Hills My friends and I had a lovely tour with Danny. He was knowledgeable, accommodating and cracked a few ‘good’ dad jokes!

Wine and mead This was a very enjoyable tour, we visited four wineries and Danny our tour guide was excellent. Maxwells was the first one we visited and I have to saw the mead we had at the end was a pleasant surprise and was much better than I was expecting. Each winery had a good good selection of wines to taste and Shottesbrooke for me had the best range. We also had time to visit the cube and view it from the outside. Overall a very enjoyable day

Incredible trip to the hills We had the best tour today with Innez. The small group format (in our case 2!) was fantastic. Super comfortable ride, not crammed into a bus. We would highly recommend this to anyone interested in a more personalized trip to the hills.

Danny took us to 4 wineries in McLaren Vale, he was knowledgeable on the area and knows a lot about wine . He was interested in our thoughts on the wine also. He was a great host.

Great way to experience the beauty of the Adelaide Hills We had a great day out exploring the Adelaide Hills and Hahndorf. Our guide Danny was warm, friendly and knowledgeable. Mount Lofty was incredible and the wineries we visited were superb. Another highlight was the Melba chocolate shop and Beerenburg farm shop. Lunch was delicious in Das Haus in Hahndorf. Highly recommend!

McLaren Vale Tour well worth it! Bruce our driver and host for the day arrived early and we set off to collect the other guests. We were 6 guests in total and from different countries. We had a great time getting to know each other.

We visiting 2 wineries before our charcuterie lunch at a 3rd, then one more winery to finish the day. We also managed to squeeze in a short visit to the 'cube' and a winery known for their olive oil. One of our guests was very keen to buy some local olive oil. We all enjoyed the day and were good chums by the end. Bruce was full of local info as well as sharing his sense of humour.
The wineries were all good and the first one especially so. Each winery offered good information about their wines and we enjoyed all the samples! The charcuterie board was splendid and enough food for all. We had 3 boards for 6 people! It was a great visit to McLaren Vale!

McLaren Vale Tour was outstanding!! Absolutely great tour of the McLaren Vale with visits to Maxwell, Hugo, MollyDooker and Oliver Taranga. The charcuterie board at Hugo was spot on!! We also enjoyed a scenic tour of the Costal areas. If you have the desire to see the area and hit a lot of the region in a day, Danny is your guy and would HIGHLY recommend him again!!

Great day of wine tasting The McLaren Vale Winery Experience Tour was fantastic with really good wineries, plus the addition of some architectural wonders thrown in. Especially liked Mollydooker winery and bought a superb Cab Sav there to put down for at least 5 more years, if I can last that long. Our driver Danny was also an excellent host. I really recommend this tour. It was a great day all round and one to remember very fondly.

We had a brilliant day on the Barossa Valley Voyager Small Group Tour! Danny took us to fabulous vineyards for wine tastings, was able to meet our requests to call into / past specific places. Danny had a great knowledge of the area and organised an excellent itinerary.

McLaren Vale half day wine & food tour We booked for a half day wine tour in McLaren Vale. Danny our tour guide/driver was punctual and knowledgeable of the region. Lunch at Hugo's vineyard was a real treat, hosted by very friendly Lucy Hugo. All in all a very enjoyable day.

Danny picked us up from our hotel at 9am and we visited 4 wineries in McLaren Vale throughout the day and finished at 5pm.
Danny was an excellent tour guide and was very knowledgeable. He drove safely and gave a great commentary. I asked if we were going to go past the cube and he accommodated our requests and stopped there for great photo opportunities.
The wineries we visited were excellent. Maxwell's, Haselgrove, Hugo's and Wirra Wirra.
Adelaide's top food and wine tours is highly recommended and we plan to come back to Adelaide and do another tour at different wineries.

Great day at the Vale We had a wonderful day out with Innez! This was our first time to Adelaide so in addition to our fabulous McLaren Vale tour, she showed us a few sites on the way down.

It was a wonderful day with lots of great wineries, food and most importantly, an expert guide.

Great experience and driver. Great experienced enhanced by our driver's depth of knowledge and experience of all things local. Danny gave a very interesting monologue during our tour which added greatly to the whole trip.

Autumn in the Vineyards Great scenery, enjoyable lunch, informative driver who organised some alternatives to wine tasting at the vineyards visited, as we are not big wine drinkers. We were booked on this trip as part of an overall package.

A great sampler of McLaren Vale A great way to taste a sample of what’s on offer in the region. Danny is friendly, knowledgeable and looks after you. Lunch is generous and you get to experience the diversity of McLaren Vale across the 4 wineries.

Our small group tour meant that the day's activities could be refined around our selection of several choices suggested by the driver. Our tour, after discussion, consisted of tastings at two family wineries, a visit to Maggie Beer's farm, a locally produced chocolate establishment and a small cheese manufacturer. The included lunch menu was varied, of high quality with a drink included (alcoholic or non alcoholic). The tour guide was very personable, extremely knowledgeable and professional. The air-conditioned minibus was clean and comfortable with an onboard fridge to keep purchases cool and bottle water was available on request. I would highly recommend this company as it was a tailored tour based on the group's request that resulted in a very enjoyable day.

Excellent tour of McClaren Vale Wineries This small group tour was excellent- the driver was really knowledgeable about both the vineyards but also Adelaide in general. Highly recommend this trip particularly as a smaller group!

Great wineries - tour guide left A LOT to be desired.... Save our $$ and pick something else The wineries we visited were great, but the overall experience did not meet our expectations. We had done the Tasting the Barossa tour the previous day, which was excellent—our guide was extremely knowledgeable and passionate, and the tour cost less while being far more enjoyable. Unfortunately, our guide on this tour spent more time talking about himself and making bad jokes than educating us about the city and wine region. Some of his comments bordered on racist and were in poor taste. Initially, we thought it might just be our impression, but other couples on the tour shared similar feedback with us, unprompted. I hate to leave a negative reviews, but given what we paid, the experience fell far short of expectations.

Great relaxing tour with amazing guide Danny. Highly recommend ***** Had a fabulous day out with Danny our tour guide/ driver. Danny is extremely knowledgable about Adelaide and the surrounds. He shared the history way back to the 1800’s - very interesting. It was a very relaxed tour. Hahndorf is beautiful. And Danny is the most cautious wonderful driver. Thank you Danny for an unforgettable day.

I have been on better winery tours Very disappointed, we only did 3 wineries, no cheese plate as stated, lunch was in a pub. All in all very average the last winery the wine was awful

Wonderful day with awesome guide Bruce Wonderful day spent with Bruce our guide and driver.We visited 4 small boutique style wineries.We enjoyed them all.Had delicious platter of home made bread,cheeses,cured meat.chutney salad etc for lunch.Drove past the Cube and through Glenig.Visited chocolate shop on way home.Just the right length of time for a winery tour.We enjoyed this more than previous Barossa Valley wine tour.We loved the Mc Claren Vale region.Many thanks to Bruce who is the lovliest man for making our day so memorable.

Delivered on all fronts Vince our guide/ concierge was excellent. An abundant amount of the knowledge and history of Adelaide and the Barossa Valley. We visited 4 excellent wineries which was a great sample. Would recommend highly if you’re visiting Adelaide for a few days.

Wonderful Barossa Valley tour We had a wonderful day visiting the Barossa. Our guide Danny C was extremely knowledgeable and interesting and it was great to hear all about the area. We visited 2 wineries, Maggie Beer’s kitchen, the chocolate factory and the dried fruit factory. All well worth a visit and we bought chocolate, dines and dried fruit to take home. The lunch at Wanera Wine Bine at Angaston was outstanding. We highly recommend this small group tour!

A family day out in the Barossa Valley My wife and daughters did this tour with me and we had a great time. Danny was the friendly and knowledgeable tour guide and from the outset he let us know that it was our tour and within reason we could choose some of the destinations. The choice of wineries was perfect, including Murray Street Wines, Langmeil Barossa and Rusden Wines, as was the lunch venue, finishing off the day with a visit to Maggie Beers Farm shop. It was an enjoyable, relaxing and entertaining day and if you get the opportunity to go you should definitely try it!

Adelaide Hills and Hahndorf. How did we fit it all in? Having done the Barossa tour my wife and I enjoyed it so much we chose to go on this tour too. Our guide was Inez who was at our hotel bang on time. The first stop was for the obligatory view and photo at Mt Lofty before heading to Beerenberg Farm followed by Howards Vineyard for some wine tasting, then Melba's Chocolate and Confectionery (with tasting!) then walked next door to Woodside Cheese Wrights (more tasting!) before heading to Haus in Hahndorf to try and fit in lunch before a leisurely stroll around the town and some shopping. We finished the day at Sidewood Winery for a final wine tasting. A very enjoyable day, great views and scenery, amazing venues and it was all helped by our very friendly and knowledgeable tour guide, Inez. We will do more tours when we return to Adelaide!

He is so informative & told us just about everything that there is to know about the locations we visited & the sights that we saw.
The beautiful lunch was an added bonus by fast tracking the queues & the wine tasting was awesome aswell.
All in all, a great day out in the region, would definitely do it again & recommend to others.
Just opened & sampled the jam today, it was beautiful.

A great day out in the Barossa Valley Innez was a fantastic host. The wineries were beautifully situated with lovely views and knowledgeable staff. Lunch was excellent and the historical information Innez provided added to the experience. A fantastic day out, would recommend.

Great experience, opportunities for improvement The guide was very nice and knowledgeable. There was not too much driving and we saw a variety of great sites. The only negative feedback about the tour was that they took us at a chocolate and cheese factory which didn’t offer any meaningful opportunity tasting nor they showed the way cheese and chocolate was produced. Lunch was average and it appeared that there were better places in the village where we could have had lunch. The wine places were absolutely lovely, but they would benefit from offering cheese tastings as well.

Excellent! What a great day out! Our guide, Vince, was absolutely amazing. He made sure that we had everything we needed. The vineyards chosen were great, and the whole experience was worth a 5 star review. This is the second, and certainly not the last, time we have done this tour.

An amazing small group tour to discover wonderful wineries Amazing wine tasting tour! We’ve had a wonderful time discovering 4 Hunter Vale wineries. Our driver and guide was a passionate and knowledgeable person who made our experience even more lovely.

We did the tour in a group of 6 and I highly recommend taking small groups tour to have the opportunity to meet people and chat. Also, the pace is much more chill.

Best Tour Fantastic tour from start to finish. Our tour driver Danny 2 was absolutely amazing. He gave us so much information about Adelaide and the Barossa Valley. Tasted wines from small, family run wineries which were handpicked to our taste.
Barossa Valley is very pretty with some stunning views. It feels a little of the beaten track and yet is only an hour away from Adelaide.
We had a very knowledgeable driver and learned a lot about Adelaide and the Barossa.
Absolutely loved it.

vistas of grapes, wheat fields & canola ... lovely part of OZ! great day, very enjoyable as Innez' was our guide/ PLUS very good/safe driver. Personable,knowledgeable & great people skills. lunch in Anguston in a funky country pub plus a little cheese tasting & very delicious extra. Murray Road Winery my favourite plus the Vinter' there highly knowledgeable .. but all wineries individualistic plus providers of great Red wines its not white wine country, but were spoilt for that at home in New Zealand anyway! 100% recommend.

Lovely day trip to McLaren Vale Our guide Danny was very knowledgeable and took us to some beautiful boutique wineries. We'd highly recommend it to anyone looking to do a day trip of the area.

A fantastic tour The wine tour was fantastic. We really enjoyed it. The wineries we went to had great wines, some paired with either food and chocolate. Our driver Danny was great. I have done a wine tour at the Hunter Valley but this one was by far the best. I highly recommend it.

4 wineries in the spectacular McLaren Vale Winery Our tour guide was very informative and his knowledge was amazing.
The 4 wineries we visited were all lovely. I did in particular like the last winery we visited as we could pick any 4 wines of our choice which was a lovely change.
I would like the winery company to consider people with not the same mobility as other guests and park where it is more accessible instead of having to climb a lot of stairs. And maybe another step to get into and out of the bus.

Hahndorf Tour Danny our guide was very welcoming, calm and knowledgeable.
I did enjoy the tour but found not nearly enough time in Hahndorf. We only had 1 hour to explore Hahndorf which was not enough time and felt very rushed. The reason we picked this tour was mainly to see Hahndorf.
I would have preferred to have the extra time at Hahndorf instead of visiting the last winery which was only for 30 minutes.
I have some mobility issues and found getting on and off the bus okay, but having an extra step would have been a lot better.
