Departure and Return Details
Please arrive ready at one of our designated pick-up points:
- 7:30 am: Hotel Grand Chancellor
- 7:40 am: Launceston Backpackers
We return to Launceston at approximately 5:30 pm. Please note that return times may vary slightly due to traffic, weather conditions, or passenger requirements.
Seasonal Operations
- September to April: Daily departures (excluding Christmas Day).
- May to August (Winter): Operating Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday. Please note: Dove Lake does not operate during winter months.
What to bring: To ensure a comfortable experience, please bring warm clothing, wet weather gear, and sturdy walking shoes suitable for alpine conditions.
Tour Operations
Departing Launceston, we have a brief stop in Sheffield then proceed to Cradle Mountain National Park.
On arrival, the group will board a small coach to enter the Park. You will then proceed to Dove Lake for 2 small walks, spending up to 1.5hrs here. You will then go on to explore more of the Park seeing Waldheim Chalet and Weindorfer’s Rainforest.
You will have time for lunch throughout the day. The approximate time in the park is 4hrs.
The tour departs the Park to Sheffield for a visit to the local Honey Farm and Township. (Visits to Ashgrove Cheese are on Sun only)
