DEPARTING LAUNCESTON

Start from 7.30 and 8.00am and travel via Sheffield, the Town of Murals before travelling up into the mountains through gorges, rain forest and button grass plains to reach the destination of Cradle Mountain, one of Tasmania’s most recognisable landmarks and one of Tasmania’s most visited attractions.

On this fully guided day tour you experience the unique flora, fauna and geographical features of the World Heritage listed National Park.

Please advise, from the following pick-up points, where you will meet our coach:
  • 7.30am Hotel Grand Chancellor Launceston
  • 7.45am Launceston Backpackers

For this tour ensure you have warm clothing, wet weather gear and comfortable walking shoes suitable for the Cradle Mountain experience!

TOUR OPERATIONS

Departing Launceston, we have a brief stop in Sheffield then proceed to Cradle Mountain National Park. 
On arrival, the group will board a small coach to enter the Park. You will then proceed to a tour brief before exploring the Dove Lake Circuit. 
You will have time for lunch along the hike. The approximate time for this hike and within the park is 4rhs. 
The tour departs the Park to Sheffield for a visit to the local Honey Farm and Township. 
(Visits to Ashgrove Cheese are on Sat/Sun only)

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

– This track is noted at a Grade 3 for hiking; some bushwalking experience is recommended. Tracks during the walk may have short steep hill sections, a rough surface and many steps. Please ensure you have an adequate fitness level to complete the walk for your own safety. – It is at the discretion of the tour guide to deny a passenger participation due to the physical demands of the walk. Should this be the case, the passenger will be transferred to participate in the Park Explorer Tour – Minimum participation age of 14 years old – This tour operates in all weather conditions, unless cancelled by the tour operator. Wind, rain and snow can occur anytime of the year.
