We did the parasailing with Adventure Moreton Island over the weekend and it was such an epic experience! Super smooth from start to finish — the crew were so relaxed and friendly, and made the whole thing feel totally safe. Once we were up in the air, the views over Moreton Bay were unreal. It honestly felt like flying. Highly recommend if you’re chasing a bit of a thrill with a seriously stunning backdrop.
Snorkelling at Morton bay We want to thank J for giving us a great snorkeling tour. He managed to find us turtles and sharks to have a look at. He also managed to give all of the people in the group a good experience even with difficulties with other members. He was very welcoming as well. Snorkeling is definitely something worth doing to get all the fun out of visiting Moreton bay.

He was super knowledgeable and extra attentive. He made sure of all our gear before and during the whole dive and made our experiences as best as they could be. He is so observant and engaging. One of my best dives in 15 years of diving.
Tangalooma dive will not disappoint 👌
Moreton Island Escapes Bushwhacker ecotours and Sunrover Adventures day tour to Moreton bay Today we did the Moreton bay sand boarding and snorkel tour booked with Bushwacker Eco tours and Moreton bay escapes. A sun Rover bus , filthy inside and out, picked us up at a bus sto. It The sand boarding was passable but the snorkelling DO NOT GO WITH THESE PEOPLE!!! I was a snorkel and scuba instructor/guide For several years. We threw out equipment that was in better shape than that which we were expected to snorkel with today. And the equipment was filthy, and slimy. We were told it had been left in the same water for a week Not disinfectant. Water.. The guide bought bleach so my partner and I cleaned the gear OURSELVES. It was so bad that I was concerned that we were going to get eye infection or respiratory illness using the equipment. The guide made all sorts of excuses, but the long and short is that it was beyond old, decrepit and disgusting. The guide did not snorkel. He was on a paddle board. He did not give any support to the clients-just handed out whatever gear they had that still might sort of function. My partner and I helped others find stuff that sort of fit. Finally, we were not told that we needed to pay $50 each extra for park entrance until they asked for it on the ferry. Lucky we had cash. In talking To others on our tour, it turns out they paid $80 each! I have never seen anything like this and would not ever use these tour companies again. the first 10 photos are our tour. The next 4 are the tour that was down the beach to show how things should be done. Note, we have no affiliation with either tour company. I just went over to the other one and asked if i could take pictures.

 Not recommend this company.
There are choices to do water activities. Go somewhere else. The venue is terrible. Too crowded too commercial. You won’t enjoy and experience the true Australian leisure. I went there on a day with tons of people, restaurant is messy, beach is busy, my friend joined the snorkelling which is a in 8 fill tours at a time! The worst part of the trip.

One of Queensland's forgotten gems. So close to Brisbane. A great place to spend a few days especially if you have a 4wd. Tangalooma is expensive for food but the coffee is good and prices on a par with Brisbane.

Beautiful I loved coming here for the first time. Very clean and easy to walk around. I didn’t get to try the Sand Sledint, but it looked like it was fun. The water beautiful and I loved the ship wrecks in the water for snorkeling.

great snorkelling but for only 30 minutes a rip -off I came all the way from Adelaide to snorkel the Tangalooma wrecks on Moreton island .Brilliant snorkelling on the wrecks BUT for the money paid it was a rip off - only 30 minutes snorkelling allowed ! We paid for the snorkelling trip going off the boat . The staff were great but half an hour was not nearly enough !!

Also,a tip for staff - I have dived, snorkelled off numerous boats and when ascending the boat the procedure is you take off your fins in the water then hand your fins to a member of staff . It is then much easier to ascend the boat with 2 hands , especially when the current is strong as it was .

A must visit Beautiful island. The shipwrecks are a must to visit. We went on kayaks but as novices didn't find this very easy to navigate. However enjoyable day on the Island with some wonderful wildlife.

We booked through getyourguide as a third party and this company never booked our ferry over, but told getyourguide that they did and that we were on the island and did the tour to avoid giving a refund, despite our written confirmation from the ferry providers that there was no booking and they denied us entry. They ruined our anniversary then lied to avoid paying us back. Avoid these scammers like the plague!
Lazy inexperienced staff From check in to dinner the staff have no customers service skills, most staff don’t know what is open, bottom bar said top bar is closed so go up to top bar and it’s open! One girl at check in with 100s of people at resort!! Staff seem to laugh and enjoy other staffs conversations but can’t seem to communicate with guests everyone seems to have an attitude like a 13year old kid.

I asked the Venue if they ever have life guards and they said they never do.
This is more a warning, please be careful snorkelling at the ship wreck, if you are not a strong swimmer stay with a group of people even when swimming in or out!
Lots of people and not eco-friendly We took a day trip from Brisbane from the dock on the Brisbane river out to Morton Island to snorkel on the wrecks. The boat was extremely touristy and fully packed. It was pretty much chaotic the entire day. When we got there, there were staff feeding the cormorants and the pelicans, which is completely not eco-friendly. There’s also an option to feed the local kookaburra birds which I can’t understand why they would do something like that. That is so non-Eco friendly. They also do wild dolphin feeding, which is not eco-friendly at all. This place is designed to get as much money out of a tourist as possible with very little regard to the well-being of the wildlife or the island

This place is designed to get as much money out of a tourist as possible with very little regard to the well-being of the wildlife or the islandWe signed up for the all day snorkel tour, and by the time we had to get a locker change, get into a wetsuit get out to the wrecks to snorkel we only were in the water about a half an hour. So essentially, we wasted an entire 14 hour day to have a half an hour in the water with a bunch of people that didn’t know how to snorkel and we’re running into each other which did not make a pleasant experience. We are experienced snorkelers, and the type of tourist that goes to this island clearly are not that type of person. If you expect to be able to see the wrecks on a tour without a lot of novice people you’d be better off getting a private boat. The guides on the snorkel boats reminded me of people in Mexico who want to show as many people a good time as possible and then get as much tip money from as possible.
Once we got off the packed snorkel boat, there essentially are no showers or places to change despite what the staff tells you. There are outdoor showers on the grass which is really your only option. So I took a shower in my bathing suit, and then changed with the towel wrapped around me. My wife took a shower/rinsed in the outdoor shower and went into the tiny bathrooms to put her clothes on. This is not at all what we expected. They should have a sizable bathroom where people can rinse off and put on their dry clothes, but none of that exists, despite what is written on the website or what they tell you on the boat so beware. The bathroom is where my wife did change were all dirty and kind of gross so it was just not a pleasant experience at all.
Once we arrive at the islands, we pretty much had to go to directly to check in for the snorkeling which took forever because they had to fit each person with a mask, fin, snorkel and wetsuit. We took our own mask and snorkel, which if you have, I would highly suggest. But as I stated, the whole experience took about 3 1/2 hours, and only 30 minutes of that time was in the water snorkeling over the wrecks.
By the time we got back to the beach, showered, and put on dry clothes, it was pretty much time to get back on the boat. I tried to get lunch that they gave us vouchers for, and every place was closed, except for one which had sold out of the majority of its food. So I had to just grab whatever they had to use the voucher money. They didn’t even have a bag to put my food into so I had to throw it into my wet bag and took it onto the boat back to the mainland to eat.
If you like what I said, then, this might be an option for you, however, this is not something that I would suggest doing and I view it is nothing more than a propaganda money making machine.
You must go - it's amazing We were treated to a trip by our daughter and son-in-law, they have visited many times and wanted to show us why they love it so much. Well, we travelled North to South, East to West on beaches and sand tracks all over the island. We are not 4WD owners or drivers, so this was the experience of a lifetime. We stayed at Castaways at Bulwer in a Glamping Cabin which was basic but clean and comfortable. We were so lucky to see whales on Moreton Bay and just take in the magnificence of this wonderful Island.

Long story short: the tour operator should send the documentation via email and give clear instructions beforehand how it works/what the schedule is.
The resort and island was very beautiful though, the diving instructor did a good job and in the end it has been a pleasant day.
When we got there we were only the told about the short amount of time we actually had to scuba dive (an hour) we were told that we need to meet at 11:45pm for the pool dive first , we were on time but the instructor Nigel seamed behind. We put on our wetsuits and my partner asked for a photo once we were done , he was so rude and clapped his hands and told us to hurry up(we didn’t get a photo) did the pool thing then waited around with our gear on for an hour! Before we could get on the boat and leave. We got there (wrecks) and 30 short mins we were done. Got back to the beach and it was 3:40pm, we missed our ferry which came at 3:30pm which is part of this “deal” Absolutely no value in money here.
Our instructor Nigel was so short and had no patience, I found him so rude.
Besides that the bathrooms at the water activities were so dirty and smelly.
There are so many other places that give a much better experience, don’t let the beautiful Island fool you to book this tour (if you can even call it that)

So much to enjoy in beautiful surroundings We had an amazing week here recently. Went to the gutter bar for lunch, yellow patch for a relaxing day on the beach and so many other parts of the island to enjoy the pristine surrounds of nature

Great Spot - limited food options Enjoyed 3 days at the Tangalooma Resort. A little older and rundown but clean and comfortable enough. Pauly was a great guide on the North Island/Sand Sledding tour. The ATV tour was so-so, guides not that friendly and it was kind of short. Biggest complaint was the food. Not much selection and everything was just meh and the grocery store has a very limited inventory.

The dolphin feed was a let down as we did it on the night that a cruise boat was in port and they put hotel guests at the back of the line so you only were with the dolphin for about 30 seconds and then you get shuttled out of the way for the next group since there were so many people there.
But it was a beautiful location and most of the staff were friendly.

 Staff were fabulous.
Only thing I didn't like was the bed in Beach lodge they were just to hard and my back didn't like was till they put topper on the bed it was find all though I like my own pillow.
High light of the trip was the whale watching from the jet boat.
Also Southern Safari trip amazing, still heaps other things to do eg Quad bikes. Which I didn't do.
Fire and Stone restaurant is one my favourite places to go have a meal in evening.
But still an amazing place.
We have been welcomed by Brigitte. We rented the snorkel gear and a kayak. We would have expected a better briefing for the kayak because it was too windy and the water was choppy we had to drop the kayak after 50m because it was too hard. The snorkelling was however very nice and really easy to do on our own.
Totally unprepared We caught the ferry to Moreton on a day trip expecting to have lunch at Tangalooma and a walk .The Island is spectacular and the ferry docking on the beach is quite something. However Tangalooma resembles a soviet era holiday camp with “do not trespass “ signs everywhere-you cannot visit the canteen like “restaurant “ if not a resident and any other food outlet is the other side of the island !! Moreton is lovely but go prepared-we had researched a little but had expected Tangalooma to welcome visitors as most other resorts do ( unless very exclusive)

Poor Mannered Staff on MiCat My family have travelled to Moreton Island yearly for a number of years, and it is sad to experience rude staff operating on the Micat, {which has the only vehicle service to travel to the island} disappointing.

The tall skinny guy on the beach we believe was the skipper and was told his name to be Dave was rude and abrupt with us and considering we are the paying customer, I believe Micat could find someone better suited for the job.
The Cafe staff always seem friendly, maybe he was having a bad day but it did not make our day better.

Zero xxxxs given by Moreton Island Ferries Parked up at 1.14 for ferry at 2pm as requested, 45 minutes early.
Zero xxxxs given by Moreton Island Ferries Parked up at 1.14 for ferry at 2pm as requested, 45 minutes early.Did not depart terminal until 3, an hour late.
Was in front 10 cars but because no trailer or caravan, almost last to.load. will be interesting to see what time we actually disembark.
Not one apology or explanation. Just a person on loudspeaker encouraging us to buy their overpriced snack bar goods and alcohol.
Additionally, with Covid we have held a booking since 2019. We were not refunded, the owners pulled the "we are just a small family business, we don't have the cash to refund".
Don't mind looking after small business but certainly can see this is one small business with big business values.
Moreton Island Ferries sux. I wish I had a lot of money so I could set up competition to their monopoly.

A few of the activities weren't available because it was not windy enough (catamaran and parasailing) and The Covid (banana boating) which was a bit of a bummer, but our Guided Wrecks snorkel, Stand Up Paddle board and Kayak hires all ended up being great. Our snorkel guides were efficient and friendly, and hiring the SUP and kayaks was super smooth. The wrecks were pretty busy and crowded, but hey, it's that time of year.
Only 4 stars because we were sent incorrect info about ferry departure in the morning, told 7am in the email confirmation and website FAQ but it's actually 8. I could've slept another hour! Then on arrival when choosing our activities the staff also told us confusing info about which activities went to the wrecks and how.
Otherwise a great day, would love to go back for longer!
