We did the full day trip with one snorkelling stop and more beach time. The day was perfect from start to finish. All very well organised and lots of fun! Heath and James were both great, very helpful and made the day lots of fun. Couldn’t recommend it enough.

The walk up to the lookout was so so, but everything after that was great. The ride, the vibe the people, the snorkeling. Fantastic.

Lunch was basic, but the onboard bar was affordable for a excursion.

Can't recommend it more.

fun day but not om with staff insulting a guest the trip was amazing, the ride, snolkeling, the walk and the beach, even though the weather wasnt good. the staff was proffesional when it came to safelty, but they all made fun of one of the guests on the boat, and she heard them,which was not ok.

This was one of the best experiences me and my family have ever had, and it’s mostly thanks to the amazing crew on board! Special thanks to Benny, who gave us the ride of a lifetime, and Jenna, who lifted everyone’s spirits and showed us all the best places in the reef.

Everything was very accommodating, even for me (as I’m not the strongest swimmer), with lots of lifejackets, floats, and equipment to make sure everyone is comfortable in the water.

I in particular loved the bush walk through Whitsunday Island, and taking photos atop the lookout. Sitting on Whitehaven Beach while enjoying lunch was also wonderful, not to mention the beautiful reef when we got in the water for some snorkelling!

Epic adventure with Abbie & Kevin!! Had the most epic experience on the northern tour with Abbie & Kevin. They were amazing tour guides, made me feel so safe and comfortable during the snorkelling experience!

Unforgettable We had such an amazing time on this trip. We were meant to do the scenic flight on the same day as the snorkelling however due to the weather this was cancelled. Luckily we got to reschedule for the next day and our pilot Lewis was very informative and told us of any bumps. An absolutely unforgettable experience.

We also had a great time on the boat however it was a bit bumpy due to the weather although our driver made us feel safe on Thrilla!

Snorkelling was great and we felt really safe and we saw so many fish!

This trip is an absolute must do whilst in Airlie Beach!

Wow Wow Wow!!!🤯 What a day!! Our boat was excellently piloted by the gnarliest captain Daisy, she really made that thing fly and was great fun, knowledgeable and helped make the day as great as it was.
The onboard safety officer Jess was just as much fun and great fun to be around.
Both ladies were superb at what they do and kept us all feeling perfectly safe despite the choppy conditions.

The whole team were superb and made the day seamless and so enjoyable, from the moment we were picked up and all through the booking in process. We really couldn’t have asked for more.

The experience itself was nothing short of spectacular, the scenery was absolutely mind blowingly beautiful and is easily the most stunning I’ve ever seen.

For anyone thinking about doing this experience, just do it as it’s truly incredible and something you’ll remember forever.

We also did as part of the same package the 60 minute scenic flight which was also a once in a lifetime experience .. I’ll do a separate review for this.

Absolutely wonderful day… we only had 2 nights in Airlie Beach, and this tour simply capped off the stay.

The scenic flight was just breathtaking. We all had window seats and felt safe, the pilot and copilot made sure we all got to see the most important things (heart shaped island and whiteheaven).
The boat was great too, Dan was our skipper and the trip went smoothly. Great vibes, music on the boat, felt safe and had fun!
On the boat Josh and (sorry I’m sure I’ll misspell it :( ) Cordin were extremely professional, helpful and always ready to answer all our questions!
The snorkeling was fun and the corals insane.
We then went to Hill Inlet lookout which is just incredible.
The crew was very patient with all of us, guided us and proposed to take pictures for us. Just the nicest!!
The lunch was nice and my request for Celiac gluten free was perfectly met. Felt good after!

Whitehaven wonder We had a wonderful day with Scott, Kurt and Tahlia!! It was just perfect with a delicious wrap for lunch and super yummy cookie caramel slice with fruit for afternoon tea. Plenty of drinks to purchase onboard. Highly recommend this tour.

WE LOVED THIS TOUR OMGGG!!! I went with my three cousins to this tour and we absolutely loved it!! Tori and Brent were our tour guides and made this experience incredible for everyone on the boat. Extremely good at calming your nerves if you’re a bit nervous and have a great sense of humour that made the tour even better. They even pointed you in the direction of specific fish like nemo. We went to Hill Inlet for some pics & lunch. Then it was off to some snorkeling spots for a look at some beautiful coral & a closeup with a turtle, a giant clam and some reef fish. Lunch was a good size and there were drinks, chocolates and an afternoon snack of fruit and lamingtons on the way back. All in all an awesome day and a great way to spend our anniversary! Thank you so much guys!

Excellent Trip This was a fantastic experience on the Thunderstruck Boat with Rich and Tamika. Snorkeling in the Mackerel Bay area was fantastic and the photos and videos were once in a lifetime. Don't be put off if you are not a strong swimmer as there are life vests and noodles available (I used a life vest and it made life so much easier).

After this, there is a walk to three viewing towers which gives an unbelievable view of the island and Whitehaven Sands, which you eventually come to when you walk down the other side. The beach is amazing and when walking through the shallow water to get to the boat, you see stingrays close up. After lunch and a couple of hours on the beach, there is a fast pace home, with Rich doing some excellent moves in the boat.

I highly recommend this trip, however make sure you get on Thunderstruck with Rich and Tamika as they made it such an enjoyable experience.

We had an incredible day out on the water with Ocean Rafting on the Southern Lights Tour - out of Airlie Beach. Max, Corbin & James were a great crew and added to the days fun!! We made our way out to Whitehaven Beach & Hill Inlet lookout. It was a great day, did a bit of snorkelling and were able to see the stunning views of the Whitsundays. Day ended relaxing on the south end of Whitehaven beach & it was stunning!! Highly recommend this Tour 🤩🙌🏼

We went ocean rafting on the Southern Lights Tour with Rich and Vanessa on the boat named “Thunderstruck”and had the most amazing time. I can honestly say this was the highlight of our trip to the Whitsundays. I was a little worried about our kids traveling on a faster boat but Vanessa and Rich put our minds at ease and made the ride so much fun to the point where they were asking us to do it again! The whole experience was fun, informative and energetic. The views, the water and sea life were just beautiful. I even loved the addition of the music on the boat, it really adds to the vibe of it all. I would highly recommend this tour and will be doing it again the next time we holiday here.

We had a lovely day - starting with the flight. It was absolutely amazing. Afterwards we went on the rafting tour. This was well organized with transfer buses and really friendly staff.

The boat ride was an incredibly enjoyable experience. We loved every minute of it. Josh and Lucky are great guys who made the journey unforgettable for us!!!!

The only thing which we didn’t like was that Whitehaven beach and the lookout have been very busy when we came there. But this is not the company fault - it is popular spot.

Amazing way to see Whitehaven two ways. Fly, Raft, snorkel, lookout. It’s the perfect package! This tour was just perfect. The weather could not have been better to start with but the scenic flight was amazing. The view was stunning and the pilots were fun, professional and informative.

We then ventured on the ocean rafts with crew members, Ben and Tamika. These guys were amazing throughout the day. Both were very helpful with any questions, they were patient and strived to bring the energy and create a good vibe for everyone onboard.

The balance of snorkelling/beach time I found to be great as we were able to have lunch on the beach and really take it all in.

Highly recommend!

Awesome Experience This was one of the best experiences I’ve had so far in Australia! The snorkelling view was breathtaking with all the beautiful coral and fish and the sandbanks on Whitsundays definitely live up to its expectations. We were guided by Kevin and Ella, which are two super fun individuals that made the day fly by with their guidance and humor. 10/10 would recommend it to anyone!

Forever memories are made here… this is a must for every family! To put this simply magical. Georgie, Ben & Cooper all had the best energy coming into this fun filled experience- we knew from the start that their personable natures and brilliant senses of humour would make this day epic. They chatted to everyone with such a sense of familiarity you would swear you’d known them for a lot longer. They were engaging, informative, hilarious and brought the bangers of music to take that vibe to the next level. To say this experience is a MUST is an understatement. Without sounding extra, our family literally enjoyed every second of the day. The boat ride was just so thrilling and our youngest child who’s 9 wasn’t at all scared. The kids thought it was so fun and I definitely recommend this as a fun family day out. The beaches and the scenery were breathtaking and it very much reminded me of just how lucky we are to live in this beautiful country. A sense of gratefulness on this trip is a very real reaction to this experience. The lunch we had was really lovely, generous and very much enjoyed!
The snorkeling was seriously stunning and my daughter’s squeals of pure joy was something you wish you could bottle forever.
The water was clear, the coral was beautiful, the turtle sightings & array of fish were just so magical to swim in. The weather conditions were on point and we were very thankful that we had that too.
This wasn’t just a day trip this was a core memory created for our family that we will look back on as nothing short of magic.
The crew had such a big impact on that, to the point that they’re now seriously considering a career here lol!

Unreal experience on Thunderstruck Three friends and I had the best day on James and Jacob’s thunderstruck boat! The snorkeling was unreal and the guys were hilarious and made sure everyone was having a really fun day. Great for adventurers and if you like a wild boat ride and beautiful experiences of the reef! Literally no notes we’ve all done lots of tours all over the world and not experienced as good of a vibe as the ocean rafting tour in Airlie. The crew all seemed to love eachother and their jobs which was so nice to see! Thanks guys!

Amazing Ocean Rafting From the moment the team picked us up, we just had the best day! Tameka & Toby on Thuderstruck just made the day so special. We were a large party of kids and adults and overwhelming the kids named this the best day of the holiday, from amazing snorkeling with turtles to bush walks, lunch and fun on Whitehaven beach. Tameka’s energy and engagement with our girls was phenomenal and they danced all the way back to the Marina.

An absolutely fabulous day. From booking the whole process was handled very professionally with excellent customer being at the forefront of every element.
Ben & Harry made sure we had an unforgettable day, choosing sites where we viewed a plethora of sea life including turtles and massive clams as well as a massive array of fish. The corals were far more colourful than we’d imagined too!
Safety was always at the forefront and instructions were very clear and explicit. The food supplied was just right for us, both in terms of quality and quantity.
We shall remember the day & look forward to doing more snorkelling in the future. Thankyou Ben & Harry!

Amazing day with the Ocean Rafting crew! Picked up from our accom and transported to the Port where we sorted the gear we needed. I was on crutches and the team were super helpful to me. We loved the speed boat stunts and the diving - absolute magic! We got lunch included and it was high quality and fresh. Harry, Chris and Brad were legends and took good care of us all and made sure we had a good day. Highly recommend as a must do when you visit!

Worst scenic flight This morning me and my boyfriend had a terrible experience with the scenic tour arranged by Ocean Rafting.

At around 6 am in the morning the bus picked us up to the ocean rafting airport. After we put our stuff to the locker and listened to the safety briefing, the pilots were calling out participants names except for the remaining 7 of the participants (including me and my boyfriend). After waiting for around 10 mins, another pilot came out and told us that the plane was not available because of the broken door. Seven of us were shocked and sought for remedial actions from ocean rafting, however, the pilot was only saying giving us a full refund without any other compensation.

We woke up early in the morning and prepared for the scenic flight , “broken door” incident should have known by ocean rafting in advance and should have told us earlier.

In addition, we waited for over half an hour to get on the bus returning to our hotel.

Not only did this let us miss the scenic flight , but also letting us down and interrupt our plans for the day.

There were no compensation (not even a cup of coffee) for all these mentioned in the above and all we got was a “sorry” and full refund. Worst experience from ocean rafting and should not join any of their unorganized trips.

AVOID- will cancel last minute DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. This company will cancel your flight last minute - do not book if you are on a time schedule / would like to actually go up in the air ! They cancelled our flight at 6:50 AM, 5 minutes before we were meant to depart, as a staff member had smashed the plane window. There was absolutely no effort to reschedule - just ‘there’s no room on any other flight this morning’. There was actually a spare seat on another flight but the staff member told us it would be too much effort to get us on that as he would have to re-write the manifestos. There wasn’t even an effort to arrange transport to return us to our accommodation , so we spent the morning sat in the office waiting for everyone else to finish their flights. If you would like to be certain of getting a flight over the Whitsundays islands , USE ANOTHER COMPANY!!

My daughter and I had the best time on Joyride on Monday. We especially loved the turns, bumps and music of the boat ride. Great selection of cold drinks. Awesome crew and just such an amazing day on the water. Unfortunately she freaked out snorkelling, but I guess that gives us another reason come back and go out again.

What an unforgettable day! The adventure kicked off with an exhilarating speed boat ride, followed by a short trek up to Hill Inlet — the views from the top were simply breathtaking. We then enjoyed two incredible snorkelling sessions, diving into serene spots filled with vibrant coral reefs and marine life.

A special shout-out to Hayden and Berni (apologies if I’ve misspelled!) who were absolutely fantastic hosts and guides. Their energy, knowledge, and focus on safety made the experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommend this tour for anyone visiting Airlie Beach — it’s the perfect mix of thrill, nature, and relaxation!

Thriller of a tour! Yes that was our boat 😀 Hubby and I did the Southern Lights Tour. What an amazing day, Daisy was an awesome skipper, handled the boat well even when doing donuts at full speed! Hayley was our guide and was always checking in on us. Couldn’t have asked for a better crew to be honest. The day was full of adventure from start to finish! Highly recommend it.

The rafting however was amazing. The crew made the experience feel safe and comfortable. They made sure everyone on board was okay, were enthusiastic in all aspects. They made the trip an enjoyable one. We had Ben as our captain and James and Hailey as our 2 crew members. They helped with the snorkelling gear and continually made sure everyone was safe and happy. They gave us information about each place we visited and directed everyone in the right direction to get to the best spots. It was overall an incredible day and me and my partner left with nothing bad to say at all other than we wish it could've lasted longer!!

Had a scenic flight today with Pilot Louise. Everything is incredible and beyond expectation. He’s so friendly and loaded with knowledge during the flight. Stunning view of Whitsundays island and great barrier reef. The view is legit. Couldnt recommend enough 100% worth every single dollar you spent. We wanna do it again next year.
They also have courtesy bus pick up/drop off from/to your hotel too. Very convenient. Also bus driver is a very cheerful and know-legible too. Exceptional service standard guys well done.

We went on the Ocean Rafting tour to the Whitsundays and Whitehaven Beach with Adrian and Josh – and WOW, what a day! The boat was super fun, the snorkeling was amazing, and the views were just out of this world. Adrian and Josh were absolutely incredible – funny, full of energy, and made sure we all had the best time. It was honestly the most fun and unforgettable day of our trip. 100% recommend – don’t miss it!

Ocean Rafting was fun and fantastic! The crew is multi-talented.
They picked us up at 9.30 am from Waterview on Airlie Beach and guided us into wetsuits. Once on board the jetboat, they briefed us about the day's activities, the place (islands) we are passing by, and assisted us with all the help required. At the snorkelling spot, we were given sufficient time to check the amazing corals and its diverse ecosystem. I appreciate the crew's prowess in making sure everybody - swimmers, non-swimmers, and first-time snorkellers - got their share of fun.
At Hill Inlet Lookout, they lay proper instructions, so nobody gets lost on the island. It was a delight that they assisted with our photos and shared interesting information and facts about the sand, the scenes from movies, and a bit of plausible insight behind the velveteen swirls.
At Whitehaven, we had plenty of time to soak in the purest sand and pellucid waters before changing for our own little celebratory photo session.
They then brought us back to Marina, Airlie Beach dot on promised time around 4 pm. The final fun-filled keeling and veering of the jetboat was a masterstroke before we moored for the day.
They lent vibrance to our day, and those bright yellow jetboats will remain pinned on my memory wall like picture postcards forever.
If you are ready to take on this thrill, remember to carry your warm clothes/ shades to protect yourself from the sun or wind, depending on the weather of the day you're planning.

We had the most incredible experience today with Ocean Rafting on the Fly & Raft tour – from start to finish, it was unreal. The flight over the Whitsundays was breathtaking and such a unique way to take it all in. Huge shoutout to the pilot Matt(I think it was Matt haha) – smooth, safe, and seriously scenic flying.

Once we hit the water, Gary, Haydn, Aidan made the entire day so much fun. They were informative, hilarious, and clearly love what they do – it shows. The energy was unreal, they kept everyone buzzing the whole time, and their knowledge of the area made the experience even more special.

Snorkelling, beach time, and the boat ride were all top tier, and the crew made sure everyone felt comfortable and included. Can’t recommend this enough – hands down one of the best things we’ve done in Australia!

Love my whole Ocean Rafting Tour. Jesse, Kayla and Toby were amazing. They made the whole tour enjoyable by being kind, iteractive and entertaining! Our boat is the joyride and true to its name, it was fun and strong. It gave us speed despite the weather and not a moment was I worried of safety. They were still serving food to every one rain or shine. Toby really knew how to drive that boat, Jesse was so good at making you feel welcome by conversing and Kayla was always looking out. They also love the Great Barrier Reef and take pride and honour in conserving its beauty. I would recommend this trip. 😊

So Dave and Mateo were our hosts, great team and hosts, Crazy waves gave Dave every opportunity to make the ride really exciting, No one was dry by the time we got to Hill Inlet.
Hill inlet never disappoints the views are just amazing, then a great lunch was served up on Champagne beach before heading home and more fun at high speed across the waves to music blasting out, and Mateo serving us fruit and lamingtons, yummo, before finishing with 360 turns outside the harbour.

Peak into Paradise The Northern Exposure tour was amazing! Snorkeling in Manta Ray bay was a great experience with many many tropical fish swimming just a few cm before our eyes and the Whitsundays view simply breathtaking. The staff was very friendly and the ride with the boat just fantastic (all the compliments to the skipper). We all enjoyed the day a lot and we all agree this was the best experience of our holiday. Highly recommended!

We did the Northern Exposure Rafting and snorkelling tour. Absolutely brilliant. John and James were the most friendliest guys and nothing was a bother to them. They were both so informative and entertained the guests the whole trip. Lunch was delicious and the visit to Whitehaven Beach was magnificent. The raft ride was epic too. Can't wait to recommend you guys to all my friends!

We took a trip to the Whitsundays in August this year, choosing the option with more snorkeling time. The staff was really friendly and kind, and it was a truly fun experience that we definitely recommend for visiting this natural wonder. Additionally, it was truly fantastic and exciting because we unexpectedly had a close encounter with whales, which was wonderful! However, I don’t give 5 out of 5 stars because, personally, we had very little time to enjoy the beach, which was one of the highlights of the excursion. Additionally, there were too many people on the boat, and it felt quite cramped! Despite this, we appreciated the various explanations from the guides, and snorkeling was enjoyable. We also liked the lunch—simple but good!

Had the most wonderful time on Joyride! They were very accomodating for our booking of 5 people, and everything was organised very well.

The ride was thrilling but all things enjoyable, and even got to see whales!
The small hike to the lookout points through Tongue point, and looking over the hill inlet are a must for any visit.
Not only amazing views there, but just as beautiful views snorkelling with the fish and coral.
