Your adventure begins with a scenic drive through rolling hills, lush farmland, and distant mountain ranges. Along the way, your guide will share fascinating stories of the region’s history, point out local landmarks, and introduce you to Tasmania’s unique flora and fauna.

The first stop is George Woodhouse Lookout, a peaceful vantage point offering sweeping views of Tasmania’s dramatic landscapes—a perfect photo opportunity to start the day.

From there, travel inland to Wings Wildlife Park, Tasmania’s premier wildlife sanctuary. Here you’ll encounter the island’s most famous residents: Tasmanian devils, wombats, kangaroos, and koalas. With free time to explore, you can enjoy keeper talks, watch the animals up close, and even stop at the onsite café. Entry fees are included.

Heading back towards the coast, take in breathtaking views of the shimmering Bass Strait and its rugged shoreline. We’ll pause in the charming seaside town of Penguin, where you can capture a photo with the iconic giant penguin statue and admire the beachside views.

The adventure continues with a stop at Guide Falls, a picturesque waterfall surrounded by lush greenery. Your guide will share insights into Tasmania’s waterfalls and their place in the island’s natural heritage.

Next, discover the award-winning Emu Valley Rhododendron Gardens, a botanical masterpiece renowned for its vibrant blooms, tranquil walking paths, and peaceful streams. Keep an eye out for the elusive platypus, and take time to relax at the licensed café before continuing your journey.

Finally, conclude the day at Upper Burnie Lookout, where panoramic views over Burnie’s harbour and your waiting cruise ship provide a fitting finale. Learn about the city’s maritime history and its role as a gateway to Tasmania’s north-west before returning with time to spare.

This carefully crafted tour combines stunning scenery, fascinating wildlife, and award-winning attractions into one seamless experience.
