Our Limo on the Water is equipped with covered open-air canopy top, full window enclosures, (which is ideal for all-round viewing), lounge type seating, 2 x tables with drink holders, toilet, swim ladder, anchor, an ice chest, and BlueTooth, so you can play your own music.
Plenty of photo opportunities, while taking in the magnificent sites of the Gold Coast skyline, waterways and the homes of the rich and famous. Kids will be delighted with the marine life, such as sea eagles, fish, pelicans, and on occasion, dolphins.

Exceptional Sunset Cruise With an Amazing Skipper Our family recently enjoyed a 3‑hour sunset cruise with Nitsa, and it was nothing short of wonderful. From the moment I first spoke with her, the entire process was smooth, friendly, and effortless. Nitsa has a warmth and generosity that instantly puts you at ease, and she added so many thoughtful touches that made the experience unforgettable.The boat itself was immaculate — comfortable leather seating, covered to protect you from the weather if needed, handy tables and cup holders, chilled ice chests for our drinks, and a quiet, peaceful ride that made the whole experience feel magical. Every member of our family commented on how relaxing it was.
What truly stood out was how beautifully Nitsa interacted with our children (4 and 6). She let them take the wheel, toot the horn, and wear the captain’s hat. Their excitement was priceless, and they’re already asking when we can go again.

Incredible Experience We had such a lovely night with Duffy on their Christmas lights cruise. Vlad, our skipper, was friendly and welcoming from the moment we stepped on board, and he really made the experience feel special.The cruise itself was a great way to see the Christmas lights from the water — so much more relaxed and fun than walking or driving around. The canals and waterfront homes looked fantastic all lit up, and gliding along with good company made it feel like a proper holiday outing.
Vlad took his time showing us the highlights and made the whole trip feel smooth and stress-free. If you’re looking for a unique way to take in the Christmas lights on the Gold Coast, this is a lovely option. We’d happily do it again.

My wife and I had the pleasure of meeting the irrepressible Nitsa when she gave a very thorough explanation about the workings of the battery powered boat we had hired. Nitsa gave us maps of the canals, photos of marker buoys and a recommended route to take to see the most in our two hour cruise.
The two hours went by incredibly fast as there was so much to see from the comfort of the silent running boat. The boat was easy to drive and had plenty of shade.
Gayle and I thoroughly enjoyed our cruise, so much so, that I will be placing it on my "to do list" for my next visit to the Gold Coast.

Highly Recommended We did a self drive tour and couldn't recommend it enough.Greeted with a friendly smile, quick instructions and we were off. The boat is electric so quiet and easy to drive, even for someone who doesn't know boat's!
Comfortable seats, plenty of room for the family and plenty of cover from the sun/wind. A bonus that we were able to take our own snacks and drinks to keep everyone happy.

Excellent day on the water! The Duffy boat was so comfy and relaxing! We toured the waterways for a couple of hours, seeing the gorgeous homes and learning the history and all of the stories of the area. The owners, Nita’s and Gordon, were so friendly! We did not go on the boat as we weren't aware that no fishing was allowed, and the vendor kindly cancelled our booking and issued a refund. Other than that, the boat looked spacious and well kept. I've been meaning to write this review for ages. We took my parents-in-law on a boat trip around the Gold Coast canals, back in May 2022. We had such a lovely time on board. The GC skyline and the lights around the city as we cruised around during sunset were simply beautiful and we were able to enjoy them from an angle and view that few ever get to experience. Our boat captain was incredibly professional, friendly, and helpful. He took us to so many little nooks and crannies along the canals and we felt absolutely safe in his hands. He also regaled us with tales of various places around the canals, as well as stories from his own life. We were able to bring a dinner for us on board, which we dined on comfortably whilst being chauffeured up and down the canals in style.
I would absolutely recommend Duffy Down Under to anyone who is interested in a similar experience, and cannot commend their service and professionalism highly enough. Thank you again for treating our folks to such a memorable experience.

We were a group of 6, and booked the experience last minute to enjoy a day out at GC. Definitely one of the most amazing experiences with a private boat, music, dancing and BYO drinks and food. Gordon was an amazing Caption who took us out through the canals of GC and showed us all the amazing houses and told us some history of the place.
Gordon was so so accomodating and so lovely throughout our 4 hour private boat experience. He always responded and spoke with a big smile on his face when our group asked him million and one questions.

We had a great time for our younger boy’s 1st birthday. Plenty space for food and lucky to have the owner to guide our tour, even helped us to setup the decorations and took lots of photos with nice views around. We left something behind and just realised on the way to the next destination, called Duffy and they stored it somewhere safe for us to pick up as she got a full booking that day. Perfect Day on the Water Such a wonderful few hours out on the water. We originally were going to self drive but last minute were given a skipper (Peter) which was a wonderful surprise. Peters interaction with us all was wonderful, his knowledge of the area superb. Having grown up in the area gave him some more detail into certain properties we went past.We come upto the GC every year to reunite and catch up old friends and do a different boat trip every year. This one has surpassed them all. Thank you Nitsa for organising a wonderful day for us and an extra big thank you to Peter for being our No. 1 Skipper tfor the day.

We had the best time using duffy hire!! I booked a electric canopy boat for four of us for mothers day and it was magic! We drove the boat ourselves but the safety run down was super straight forward and the boat was easy to drive. The boat was super comfy for all of us and the service we got was so friendly.

Stylish and comfortable memorable afternoon cruising on the sunny canals of Surfers. What a fabulous way to celebrate an 86th birthday with family. We opted for the self drive option which worked a charm. Nitsa is super to deal with and went out of her way to make our day special. We took all our favourite supplies and 3 hours whizzed on by.. next time I would take the 4 hours to allow a bit more time at the Isle of Capri. Amazing Experience for Family The trip was such an amazing experience. We are a group of six from ages 8 to 73. We do ask for a skipper to join. He was fun and exprience. With his aid all of us enjoy the ride in evening breeze and breathtaking view. Although the booking can simply take the boat hire, I do recommend to also hire a skipper, especially for beginners. He put our mind at ease so we can fully enjoy the relaxing ambient.

It was our parents wishes to have their ashes scattered in the Nerang River. Not knowing what to do we contacted Duffy Boat hire. Nitsa was amazing, so helpful and thoughtful and helped us plan the day with ideas and suggestions and even as we found out on the day, upgraded us to the bigger boat. On the day "Easter Sunday" we sailed for a particular spot on the river to arrive at dusk. Our skipper Gordon was the most caring person and said he would do ever it takes to make this a special occasion for the family, nothing was too much for him. The fact that the boat is electric and so very peaceful made it even more special.
Nitsa and Gordon thank you so very much. We will be back whenever the family gets together.

100% recommend WOW!!! What an experience! such a relaxing way to spend a couple of hours, take your own food and drinks kick back and glide through the water. We had the music going and the sun was shining. the electric motor made it all the more relaxing as its basically silent. We saw tons of dolphins and they come very close to the boat. We saw the most amazing luxury houses too. Highly recommend this activity, perfect for all ages, friendly staff take great care of you, and it was CHEAP! (As in, not expensive) good quality boat with wind protection. Give it a go you will not be disappointed!Thanks to the Duffy team.

Awesome and enjoyed it! It was an unique experience for me and my friends as it was our first time controlling a boat by ourselves. We were oversee by a boat captain that guided us around the canal. We had amazing experience. It was great to see Gold coast and Broadwater this way. We were very lucky that Duffy’s owner came along with us on our boat ride. It was good to have her as we got to know so much about the areas and saw beautiful houses along the way with some information. It felt like a wonderful tour. She also took a lot of photos for us and stopped the boat for amazing views and pictures of gold coast. She was just there to guide us and we all took turns to drive the boat, having her was an added advantage .
The boat ride itself was super fun. They also have speakers so you can play your own music and dance, bring snacks and just generally have a great time. We went there in the afternoon but heard they also have sunset time boats as well.

Fantastic Service & Experience Book it!! Book it!! Very quick and easy! We had such a nice boat ride on a beautiful day. I want to highlight that Gordon who is fun, warm and welcoming offered a complimentary skipper service, while we stayed back relaxed, comfortable beneath canopy gazing at the beautiful real estate Gold Coast offers. He shared fascinating information about the luxury restaurants, properties, amenities and current events around the area. Excellent job Nitsa on providing quick response on booking, free parking, directions and other necessary information. Unfortunately, in your situation you feel as if I should have been able to control the weather? It rained…... And thankfully you were on a boat that had fully functional windows to which I gave you advice on how to close. The boat also has a full canopy top had you followed the instructions provided you would have had no rain inside the boat at all.
Again, being Mother Nature we can't help the fact the weather I wasn't perfect for you , and we sincerely hope your next boating adventure comes with sunshine & rainbows

Wonderful from booking to docking What a blast!!From the moment I booked this, the operator was in touch to ensure we had the best possible experience.
I had so many questions and requests and Nitsa was prompt in her responses and beyond accommodating!
On the day - coordinating small children, elderly participants with mobility considerations, special custom catering requests - they had it all under control and made everyone feel equally welcome and included.
Nitsa was our skipper and she was fabulous - we felt safe in her hands, she was fun and knowledgeable about the area we toured.
The experience itself is wonderful.
So much fun, so much to see and well, well worth the time and price.
