Had a wonderful time taking the e-bikes up to narrow neck. With minimal mountain biking experience we were between this ride and the more relaxed ride to mount hay, but ultimately decided we were up for the challenge. We were very happy with our decision, as we saw few people on our ride and managed to get up the many steep inclines without any issues. Highlights were the views, solitude, and some really fun descents. We are both pretty active so something to consider if you are beginner and trying to decide.

Picking up and returning the bikes was very easy and customer service throughout was top notch.

Temperature was around 15'C which was wonderful. Wore light pants and a puffer that came off after a couple inclines.

Top day biking in the Blue Mountains Sam was really helpful kitting us out and suggesting trails that we could combine to maximise our day and bike usage. The bikes are great pieces of kit. Neither of us had ridden an electric bike before and we both loved it.
We started with Mount Hay then took the train two stops with the bikes to Blackheath and saw Hanging Rock. Absolutely breathtaking!!
Returning the bikes is easy and Sam has thought of everything to make the experience fantastic - GPS maps, guidance and advice, bike locks and train timetables. Carol at the hotel collection/return point was super lovely and helpful too.

Thank you Blue Mountains Biking Adventures for the perfect day out. My husband and I decided on the Intermediate Self-Guided Narrowneck trail and hired two e-mountain bikes. Instructions for bike pick up (local hotel) and drop off were clear and we made it out to the trail easily.
The bikes are in great condition with multiple gears and it's pedal assisted e-bike. Gloves and helmets were also in great condition.
We stopped for lunch at the end of the plateau and the views along the whole trail were spectacular. We recommend definitely having some off road cycling experience before commencing, intermediate is an accurate description (we've ridden bikes our whole life, but not recently).
Come prepared, you are in a national park with no phone service. (First aid kit, water, food, sunscreen, sunnies etc).

Fantastic experience with Blue Mountains Biking Adventures! Sam did a great job contacting us beforehand, reassuring us that the trails would be perfect even after a couple of days of heavy rain (he was right), and providing us detailed instruction on our trail and how to use our e-bikes. Overall a great experience The tour was the perfect length and challenge for someone like me who hasn't ridden off-road for a while. My adult son is a much more experienced rider who likes technical features, but he still appreciated Sam's tips and enjoyed himself. The views were fantastic and worth the effort. We hired e bikes for 2 separate trips. Both trips involved a bit of road work with the majority of the ride being on tracks - both leading to fabulous views. Sam was extremely helpful and instructions were clear and concise, with easy to follow routes. Would definitely use again.

Exploring the quiet lookouts by bike Couple travelling from the Uk. Sam the boss man was brilliant, great communication from the start and he even suggested a campsite for us to use in the area. Bikes were great, better range than the ones we have at home. Suggested trails for us to use in the area. Easy collection and drop off.

E-bike hire for the day We arranged a last minute booking for the following day with Sam. He provided excellent advice and guidance about the terrain and track options available to us to ride. The e-bikes were in excellent condition and the safety briefing was extremely informative. We are an active family and we found the trails to be easy to follow and not difficult. Not recommended My mother fell from the bike because of small rocks ???? on the mountain. Her knees then proceeded to become infected and even now 3 months later she is still in pain with an inflamed knee. They say that this course was made for beginners but they don’t include that you need the stamina of an athlete. They also do not include that the trail is VERY rocky. It was very dangerous. We are lucky to have only had 1 injury.Not recommended

Not recommended at all Not recommended at all .This is the first time I am writing a negative reviews We came to Australia from New York and on 1st march we book self tour on blue mountain from this website.
The guy sent us the video to watch but he didn’t tell us about the track on mountain it’s too rocky and rocks were very slippery too . We are really good bikers and it’s too dangerous to ride on those rocks specially on the hill and it’s the worst decision to book from them they supposed to tell us before tour starting. I fell from the bike 2 times just because of those small rocks and my knee got badly injured and scrapped . We ride back to the spot on same bike. When we came back to NY the guy charged us $120 for broken bike mind it it’s not damaged at all I drove back for 2 hours from mountain. My knee is still not recovering because of internal bruising please please think twice before booking thanks

Myself and parents in their 60s managed this very beginner friendly track without too much stress and were met with just breathtaking views at the trail end. Holidaying in Sydney I had limited time to visit the Blue Mountains but I did not want to miss out. Sam the owner of Blue Mountains Biking Adventures suggested participing in a the Hanging Rock trail. I caught the train from Sydney to Blackheath a really easy journey which gave a real insight into the landscapes out side of Sydney.
Sam was waiting at the prearranged location with Trek bikes and associated safety equipment. He delivered a comprehensive brief regarding safety and route details. Thereafter we commenced the ride. Loan Rock trail was breath taking and really allowed me to appreciate the spectacle of the Blue Mountains . I am so glad I committed to the adventure 10 hours out and back to Sydney!

I would highly recommend this company. Biking is such a great way to see the beauties of the Blue Hills, and Sam, he is simply amazing, and he made our trip an extraordinary one!!

Sam is fantastic. He's genuinely a fun person with a great knowledge of the trails, area, and wildlife. He knows his bikes and loves riding (past professional racer). Tons of safety tips all clearly communicated at the start.

Our scheduled trail was closed due to rain. Sam found an alternative route quickly and clearly communicated all options available.

I guess the best thing to offer is that he knows how to take care of your experience, catered directly to you. You will leave his tour feeling like you received great value for your money and had a blast.

We hired 2 e-bikes from Sam at Blue Mountains Biking Adventures. From start to finish we had the best experience. We found it best to text Sam (number is on their web site) and he got back to us with in a few hours and our hire was sorted within minutes. We only had the option to hire the bikes for the day and in the end it was the perfect amount of time we needed to really appreciate it.
We met Sam in Katoomba where we were given a good briefing on trails including maps and the e-bikes.
We went by train with our bikes from Katoomba to Blackheath. Right or wrong we used the lift (we saw the locals doing it) rather than using the stairs at the train station.
We rode from Blackheath to Anvil Rock and back to Blackheath aprox 16km's then from Blackheath to Hanging rock and back to Blackheath aprox 15km's. The trails are wide very well maintained easy to ride and the views were spectacular. At Hanging Rock we pushed our bikes up the last small gnarly part of the track to the top where we locked up our bikes and walked the last part down to Floating Rock then on to Hanging Rock. Yes it is a bit steep and a bit of a climb back up to the bikes but it is so worth it. We spent a bit of time here as the view are breathtaking.
Back at Blackheath we caught the train back to Katoomba where Sam had sorted a drop off for the bikes which made dropping them off so easy. Sam's bikes are great you'll have plenty of battery life. We didn't use much on the rides to the rocks as a lot is down hill. You will want to use it on the way out. We had plenty of battery life left. These rides are perfect for people that love bike trails and awesome destinations. Thanks Sam we will be back again to check out some of the other rides in the Blue Mountains.

Mt. Hay This trip was amazing. We decided to add some mountain biking last minute to our trip for the World Cup. Sam was incredibly helpful and accommodating. He went out of the way to make the timing work. While the hanging rock trail was not available on the day we had free he organized another trail which was perfect. While the group I went with had all mountain bikes before we had never used an e-bike before. It was awesome! The bikes were in perfect condition. The ride and was beautiful and incredibly fun. Moreover, since Sam picked us up at the train station took us to the trail and dropped us back by more views and food, we were able to make it back to Sydney in time for the game. Would recommend booking any of the trips with Sam and will definitely use an e-bike for trails again.

Beginners self guided, 3 hour route to Anvil Rock with a couple of novice friends who wanted to see if e-bikes were for them. We have e-bikes at home and a bit of experience with bike tours in Europe and Asia and these bikes are simple, comfortable and smooth. The power is great. Cheerful and enthusiastic Sam did a thorough explanation of the workings of the bikes and safety measures. It's an easy track and an incredible view as a reward. This tour is for beginners, but the bikes are capable of so much more and we will be back for some more strenuous trails.Highly recommended.

Awesome Guide We had so much fun on our 4 hour e-bike ride in the Blue Mountains with our most excellent guide Sam. He made our day even more enjoyable by adding tidbits on the local flora and fauna. We highly recommend this excursion!

Mountain bike in the Blue Mountains Sam is a lovely guy and the electric mountain bikes were great to use, easy to collect. Cycling was a great way to break up all the walking in the blue mountains and there are plenty of fire trails /4WD tracks with lovely view along the way and at the end- you can do many more tracks on bike than walking as it’s so much faster on bike! Highly recommend a day or two on an electric mountain bike from Sam. Bikes are easy to use and in great condition.

We did the self-guided tour it took about 2 1/2 hours. It was really manageable. We didn’t use the electric part of the bike on the way down to the lookout at Hanging Rock but we sure used it on the way back to get back up the hill!
Bike Equipment is excellent, very modern and the briefing on how to use was very comprehensive. The owner met us at the cemetery at Blackheath and we felt really confident and informed after his briefing. Such a nice guy and happy to unreservedly recommend this trip. We did it even in not great weather. The cloud cover was so heavy but with a waterproof jacket we were all fine and we were very lucky that when we got to the lookout the skies cleared and we manage to see hanging Rock from floating rock. Beautiful trip would definitely do it again.
