E-bike tour of Melbourne We did the e-bike tour of Melbourne with the tour guide Leo and he was fantastic. Loved all the places we visited, he made it so interesting and was very understanding with our extra requests.

We had a fantastic Classic Bike Tour with Blue Tongue Bikes.

My initial enquiry with James was for a group of ten, but due to unforeseen circumstances, that became eight. As our cycling day approached, the weather forecast looked very wet, so the team kindly rearranged our booking from Saturday to Sunday.

On the day, our guide was Marcus, who did a fantastic job explaining the First Nations' history of the area, how the Yarra got its name, and providing a concise overview of Melbourne's history as we cycled around the city. We visited many interesting sites, with well-timed stops for photos and commentary, and enjoyed lunch at a great café in Collingwood.

In total, we covered around 16 km and thoroughly enjoyed the e-bike experience. A couple of our group were a little apprehensive, as they hadn't ridden for some time, but Marcus took the time to build everyone's confidence with a practice ride around Batman Park before we headed off. Although we rode on some roads, most of the route followed dedicated cycleways and was relatively flat, making for a very comfortable ride. We were also treated to the sight of several flocks of black cockatoos, which Marcus commented was a rare occurrence.

We were interstate visitors celebrating a 60th birthday, and we'd highly recommend Blue Tongue Bikes as a brilliant way to discover Melbourne.

Great e-bike tour We are from Hong Kong, first time in Melbourne. My 8 year old son and I joined the group e-bike group. Turns out it was only we two so it became like private tour. We used a big bigger bike with seat at back for son to sit on.

Our guide Al was very nice, well informed and educating us with lots of Melbourne history and stories, and great smiles and energy. Blessed with great weather when forecast said whole week of rain. Sturdy bike.

Absolutely fantastic experience.

The owners were incredibly friendly and helpful. It was actually my first time discovering that tandem bikes even exist, and they kindly set us up with a phone mount before we headed off.

My partner and I took the tandem bike around the Capital City Trail and had an absolute blast. There is something hilarious about trying to coordinate two people on one bike, but once you get going it’s ridiculously fun.

The bike was in great condition, everything worked perfectly, and it made for a memorable day out.

Also, the store dog is dangerously cute. I wanted to rub that dog so bad, but somehow managed to keep my composure because the owners were right there.

Highly recommend if you’re looking for a fun way to explore Melbourne. We will definitely be back.

I and my wife, both Indian senior citizens decided to explore part of Melbourne by doing Yarra river city loop cycling trail.
We hired our bike from blue tongue Bikes, located near Yarra river.
The 1st point of contact was a young lad, named Jeremy.
Jeremy explained us everything about bike rental charges, type of bikes, demonstrated us on how to operate dual cycle lock.
He also patiently explained us about the route of Yarra river trail .

He trusted us with cycles without asking for any deposit or ID proof.

After riding for about 12 kms, my wife's cycle's rear pulley snapped and we were stuck in a remote area as she could not longer continue the ride.
We got little tense as we were riding for 1st time in Australia and after the break down of cycle we were really wondering what now?
We phoned Jeremy and this young lad gave us reassurance and after tracking our location, rode all the way to us with a replacement cycle.
And my wife could continue her ride with the replacement cycle.
On being thanked, Jeremy said its the part of his job.

We highly appreciate his cooperation, patience and helpful nature and it has left a very remarkable positive impression as Australia being a very tourist friendly country.

4 Hour E Bike Adventure - Thanks Marcus! We loved our 4 hour easy peddle-assist bike tour around the CBD and surrounding attractions. It's so easy on a bike to cover huge distances - the bikes worked really well - and we felt super safe following our awesome guide, Marcus, around. He was very knowledgeable, friendly and was a local Melbourne boy (born and raised) so it was great to have that local touch. After the tour, and because we then felt confident on the bikes and in the traffic - we took the bikes down to Melbourne Beach, St Kilda and Brighton beach for a quick dip. Hiring bikes and having a tour to give you confidence was the best thing we could have done! Such a highlight of our trip!

A great bike ride Marcus was an excellent tour leader. He took time to explain how to get the best of the electric bikes and the history of the City of Melbourne. The route he covered included a lot of historical sites and buildings. Lunch was in a wonderful little cafe that provided gluten free options. All in all it was a great experience lead by a charismatic and knowledgeable leader.

Fabulous day biking around Melbourne Excellent way to see a lot of Melbourne in a day. We were a bit delayed due to the F1 race being in town which impacted public transport, our fellow riders and our guide, Freddy, were very accommodating. We learned a good amount about Melbourne, including history of the area, sports history, and went to so many places we might otherwise not have visited during our day in the area. We biked along the Yarra River and stopped at a great local eatery for lunch. Super cute restaurant with a great local vibe and amazing aesthetic.

Everyone was provided an e-bike, which made it a great trip for all levels & easy to keep everyone together.

Book a Private tour NOT small group We took this tour while we were in town on a cruise ship. It was very fast paced and provided a good orientation to Melbourne. Our guide was friendly. I wish we could have stopped more often to take pictures as we were only in town for a few hours. If we were staying in Melbourne we could have gone back on our own to take pictures. The Grand Prix hoopla made Melbourne city center a very crowded place. Our tour of 11 guests with a guide in front and an employee in the back was too big. Often we couldn’t all get across streets at the same time given there were 13 bikes. We also had to walk the bikes for safety reasons when pedestrian traffic was high. The tour company should have limited the guest count by half since they knew the Grand Prix was in town. It was also almost impossible to hear the guide if you are in the 12th position in the back. Either having a microphone for the guide with earbuds for guests or having smaller groups would help this problem. Because of the crowds and biking experience of some guests on our tour, I believe we went at a slower than normal pace as we didn’t get to all the places listed on the itinerary. If I were to do this again, I would book a private tour and not small group.

I hadn’t been on a bike for 40 years so was feeling quite nervous.
I appreciated riding around the park several times to gain some confidence.
Despite living in Melbourne, I still really enjoyed the historical information provided during the ride.

Great way to cover lots of city. Thanks Fred! The e bike tour was great. We got to see so many ch of the city on these great bike paths, all on easy riding e bikes. Our Guide was fantastic. A nice mix of info and current culture. Stopped at a great place for lunch. Nice pace. Make sure you bring a light jacket as it can be cool riding, even on a nice day. There are baskets on some of the bikes so you can just put the jacket in the basket.

Great overview of Melbourne. As Melbournians we hosted a group of English friends on this trip around Melbourne. Easy and safe ride even for those who do not bike regularly. Excellent This was a really great experience. A good selection of bikes to choose from. Ideal Central location to meet up and straight onto the start of the guided tour with a great introduction the origin of Melbourne.
From there for the next 2 hours we stopped and started at many of the points of interest.

The Best way to see Melbourne! My first full day in Melbourne and what a brilliant way to get your bearings, see the sights and those that you'll want to come back to.
Al was a great Tour Leader, friendly and knowledgeable and gave the group a wonderful insight into his home city. No better way fo get around than an ebike and the weather was perfect. The group lunch was a great touch, we got to spend time with our fellow travellers and meet Al's colleague Simon, a great character!

This is one of the best bicycle Rental experiences I have ever had...and I travel and rent bicycles very frequently. The service was extremely friendly and helpful, the bicycle was fully equipped for everything you need for an urban biking experience (mobile phone holder, good kickstand, wheel and chain lock, basket). I highly recommend.

Visiting from Qld, I wanted to hire a bike to see around Melbourne. Centrally located, lots of different bikes available. Reasonably priced & friendly service to set up the bike I needed. Melbourne has great bikeways. I could 30kms around the capital city loop with hardly any on road riding and they are still improving.

Fantastic experience in Melbourne This was an awesome trip in a beautiful city. Our guide, Marcus, was a wealth of knowledge about the history the area and the Australian life and culture.
We covered lots of territory on good e-bikes. The lunch stop was unique and delicious.
For the true Melbourne experience we encountered rain, wind, sleet and some sun on a chilly spring day.

Very good tour, with one major problem A very good way to see a lot of the city, --- much better than walking or bus tours. The guide was excellent, -- very knowledgeable about the history of Australia and Melbourne (He's a history major.). The bikes were easy to use and very reliable. There were 9 people in our group.
The only problem was that the tour was too long. It started at 10:00 and ended at 2:00 with an hour's break for lunch (at our expense) at a mediocre restaurant with a small menu. I would rather have seen them start at 09:00 and finish by 12:00 and just do the biking, so we could go and have lunch elsewhere at the regular time. Still, I would recommend this tour.

Not a bike tour for everyone I enjoy bike tours when I travel to cities. Half of the tour took us along bike paths and parks, the other half was stressful for me- stopping and starting at intersections, negotiating city streets with traffic and pedestrians. There were 7 in our group, and at times we did not all have time to cross the road before the light went red. Our guide was informative about the stops along the way, and told some great stories. I noticed he spent a lot of time looking at his phone as he led the group, and was not always attentive to us while we followed. In my opinion, the lunch stop was a waste of time. I would recommend cutting out the lunch stop and making the tour an hour shorter. If you are nervous riding in traffic and in busy pedestrian areas. I would not recommend this tour.

A good time was had by all. I enjoyed seeing Melbourne from the seat of a bicycle. The weather was wonderful. Marcus, our guide did a great job leading and educating us about Melbourne.

Great way to see the main attractions outside of the CBD. You don’t need to be fit as the bikes are electric. Our guide Leroy made sure we all kept together & was very keen on safety ( without being boring) The cafe we stopped at offered a good selection of drinks / food a fair prices( if you wanted to buy). I’d definitely recommend combining this with a walking tour of the CBD ( on a different day!) - great ways to see this amazing city

Best bike hire experience!! Azmeer gave us great advice on which bike to choose and even gave us advice on where to go!
