Lace up your hiking boots to discover Finch Hatton Gorge, one of nature’s most spectacular hidden treasures. Hike through lush, vibrant foliage while native birds serenade you, leading to crystal-clear waters that invite you for a refreshing swim beneath a stunning waterfall. 💦
Afterwards, enjoy a delicious lunch with a great local story behind it. 🍽️
Next, we ascend to the charming township of Eungella, perched high on the range. Here, we embark on an exciting quest to spot the elusive platypus in its natural habitat. While platypus sightings are not guaranteed, we know the best spots for the best chance!
Tour Requirements and Details
This tour requires a medium level of fitness. You must be comfortable hiking inclines and declines, including stairs. It is unsuitable for people with medical conditions that inhibit this activity. Timings are approximate.
For safety reasons, please note that our tour does not permit babies and children requiring a car seat.
Sometimes it’s necessary to adjust itineraries due to weather or unexpected events. We always do our best to deliver the full experience, but we strongly recommend having travel insurance to cover any unforeseen changes or losses.

All prices are per person in AUD and include GST, National Park, and Great Barrier Reef Marine Park entry fees where applicable.
Cancellations made less than 24hrs before departure will result in complete forfeiture of full price. We recommend you take out travel insurance covering illness, injury, loss of personal goods and the inability to travel due to weather.
Customers should note that adventure travel involves risk. Whilst we make every effort to safeguard guests, we cannot be responsible for any damage, personal injury or loss due to the actions of passengers that are beyond our control.
Accordingly, Mackay Adventure Tours and Transfers shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) or for any injury to person or property which is suffered or sustained by any passenger as a result of participation in any of its adventures, excepts for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.
It is up to the participant to advise the team of food allergies or preferences at least one day prior to the tour.
