Flower lovers delight We parked and walked. It was hot and there was a fair bit of construction in the area, but it was enjoyable. We also took the opportunity to walk over the bridge to the National Gallery.

We recently had the pleasure of taking a guided tour of Canberra, and it was an exceptional experience. We enjoyed a fantastic Sunday afternoon with Neil and Margaret on The Best of Wildlife Birds Tour. We saw kookaburras, parakeets, gullahs, kangaroos, koalas and even a wallaby. We not only learned about different species of birds and marsupials but also about much Canberra's rich landscape and history. The whole experience was welcoming, relaxed and comfortable. Easily 5 star and will recommend.

Neil our guide took the three of us around Canberra on a fantastic journey from Mount Ainslie to the War Museum. Via the old Parliament building to the current one. We ate lunch on the Queen's Terrace. Learnt history behind siting of capital plus the story of the design and construction of it. I can't recommend this trip enough. Our one day in Canberra was a fantastic day thanks to Neil and our third member Jan from Queensland. Do this trip to see the sights and understand the history behind not only Australia but it's capital too.

This was a comprehensive and enjoyable tour of Canberra. Our tour guide Ian was incredibly informative, talking us through the history of Canberra and of all the places we visited. He seems to genuinely enjoy his job, which made the tour even more enjoyable. He also communicated effectively about pick up time & location - something I greatly appreciated after bad experiences on tours in other cities. Additionally he gave useful information on other attractions not included in the tour and even good places to eat. Obviously a single day is not enough to see all Canberra has to offer, but this tour gets pretty close. A great introduction toCanberra that I can recommend to anyone.

The tour was well organised and conducted at a pace that covered a lot of ground but also allowed time to take in the sights, ask questions, and for an enjoyable lunch break at one of the sites. To get to know Canberra in one day with a perfectly designed tour, Canberra Guided Tours is the right choice. It was worth spending a little more to get to know the city and its surroundings with Neil, an experienced and knowledgeable guide, in a small, comfortable bus. Neil's knowledge of Australia and Canberra in particular was profound and he conveyed it in an interesting and understandable way. The tour covered everything that is important and worth seeing in Canberra. From the Mount Ainslie Lookout we looked out over the whole city, were able to take wonderful photos and Neil explained to us the history of how the city came into being. We visited the government district, admired the most beautiful of the many embassies, saw the old and new parliament from the outside and inside and finally the very impressive War Memorial. Neil was always ready to arrange a photo stop if desired and also answered all questions and requests. We can only give him the highest praise.

I can highly recommend Canberra Guided Tours. Booking online was easy and I was picked up from my hotel at 9.30am. I was warmly greeted by Neil our guide and the half dozen other customers already on the mini van. Neil's commentary was delivered with a relaxed and conversational style. I found all the information very interesting and I think everyone on the tour felt comfortable asking questions or adding their own knowlege. Our first stop was the lookout at Mount Ainslie. A perfect start. After a full day we ended with the Australian War Memorial and the last post ceremony at 4.45pm. As an Australian on their first visit to our National Capital I felt a great sense of pride for this unique and beautiful city. I can recommend this tour for Aussies and International tourists. Great introduction/overview of Canberra with Neil Neil is a fantastic guide. We were in Canberra to visit our daughter who had just moved there, and this introduction to Canberra was just the best experience for her to be able to orient herself. Neil was full of information and anecdotes that kept us entertained all day. I think our daughter learnt what would have taken her months to discover about the history, geography and culture of the city. Luckily my partner and I had a couple more days in Canberra and were able to explore many of the places Neil had recommended to us. Thanks Neil!

Everything went as was communicated to us at the time of the booking. There were only 10 participants on the tour and everyone was pleasant and like-minded. It made the tour very congenial. Ian, our driver and guide, was a treasure trove of information, as well as being a caring host and genuinely interested in making the tour the best for all of us. Great overview of Canberra Neil took us to all the areas of significance within Canberra. Exceptional knowledge of the birth of the city to the present day by a local born and bred. The day was packed solid but with an easy pace. You would not get a more fulfilling and enjoyable experience and would highly recommend this activity to first time visitors.

Wonderful Day in Canberra Amazing day in Canberra! My husband had a business trip to Canberra and I tagged along. I took this tour while he was working and it was really wonderful. I really felt like I got a great intro to the city and the sights. My only regret was not spending more time in Canberra. Our tour guide Olaf was fantastic. He gave us the local perspective having grown up in the city and having worked in government for many years. His stories and experience really made the Tour.
