This guided Forest Bathing (Shinrin yoku) experience takes place in Kings Park and offers a gentle opportunity to reconnect with yourself through mindful sensory engagement with the natural environment.
Forest Bathing is not a hike or fitness activity. It is a slow guided walk that invites you to notice what is already present such as textures sounds scents and subtle movements of the forest allowing the nervous system to settle and attention to soften.
Experience includes
• Guided Forest Bathing and mindfulness with a certified Nature and Forest Therapy Guide
• A slow paced walk over a short distance with time for stillness rest and reflection
• Simple nature-based activities that support presence sensory awareness and connection
• Optional opportunities for quiet reflection and gentle sharing
• Herbal tea and light refreshments at the conclusion of the session
• Small group size with a maximum of 10 participants to support a calm personal experience
Kings Park offers a unique urban bushland setting with open woodland and seasonal wildflowers that support a sense of ease and spaciousness.
No prior experience with mindfulness or meditation is required.

The walk follows well maintained earthen tracks and sealed paths with minimal gradient and a few soft sandy sections. Universal access parking and toilets are available nearby.
People of all abilities and backgrounds are welcome. If you require any adjustments to support your participation please let us know when booking.

• Hat rain jacket or warm layers depending on conditions
• Water bottle
• Small bag or backpack for personal items

The walk will be a slow meander along a trail approx 1.2km long
The experience will be approx 3 hours

On the grassed area near Koorak Cafe, look out for the Mindful in Nature sign.
