We rented a four-wheel-drive from Fraser Dingo 4th Adventures so that we could go over to K’gari for four days. This is an incredible company. When we arrived to pick up our vehicle, we had a comprehensive safety briefing with one of the company owners. Since we are people who do not usually drive these kinds of vehicles, this was one of the most important things that happened during our trip. We learned so much and by the time we got in the 4wd we both felt really comfortable driving.

The company also looked at the number of days that we had to be on the island and worked out a really incredible itinerary for us. It wasn’t something that we had to do, but it gave us a lot of options. It also was very specific about tide charts and when it’s safe to drive on the beaches.

We basically followed the itinerary that they gave us and had one of the best trips of our life.

I highly recommend these folks. In addition to everything above, they were just delightful to deal with.

Wonderful three days on K’gari. Graham was an amazing guide, so knowledgeable about flora and fauna on the island and also about aboriginal history. He also has an extensive knowledge of geology and astronomy. He made the trip very special. The accommodation we were in was excellent, the food was really good and the two volunteers were so friendly and helpful. As a slightly older couple, I loved that the group was a mix of ages - really couldn’t imagine going on one of ‘party’ trips. We had a fantastic trip, would highly recommend.

The best experience of my entire trip in Australia so far. The tour made it so educational and fun. The team made my birthday so special too with banners and candles in my ice cream, I will never forget it. Shout out to Graham our guide who was incredible at his job and a joy to be around.

The 2-day tour was well organised, relaxed and so much fun! The tour guide Mark was a legend, he was knowledgeable, patient and a very cool person to hang out with. He explained everything so clearly such as 4WD techniques and history about the island.

The driving was epic and the locations were unreal. The highlights were Eli Creek, Lake Birrabeen and Lake McKenzie.

The tour never felt rushed or chaotic just good vibes, good people and the most unforgettable experience. A absolute must for any East Coast road trip!

We travelled the East Coast, and this was by far our favourite activity. A huge factor of why this trip was amazing was because of our INCREDIBLE guide Graham.

Graham is by far one of the coolest and most knowledge people we have ever met - he knew absolutely everything about the island and we learnt so much from him! Not only was he knowledgable, but he was also very professional - we felt safe every moment of the trip, even when seeing snakes and spiders!

On this tour you stay in a house with shared bunk beds, it was super comfortable and clean. The food was good and we had SO much fun socialising with our new friends in the evenings. We played games and went on a night safari with Graham.

If I could do this all over again I would 100 times. Book for the best 3 days of your life!!!

Absolutely the best tour of our Australia trip!

The Fraser Dingo 4WD Tour on K’gari was without a doubt one of the best tours we did during our entire Australia round trip. From start to finish, everything was perfectly organized and truly memorable.

Our tour guide Graham was outstanding. His knowledge about the island’s flora and fauna was impressive, and he also shared a lot of fascinating insights into the history of K’gari. You could really feel his passion and respect for the island, which made the experience even more special. ❤️

The accommodation (the Bringabeeralong cottage) was beautiful - much nicer than we expected - with great showers and clean toilets. This definitely added a lot of comfort to the overall experience.

A big thank you as well to the two amazing volunteer girls who prepared the meals at the house and helped out wherever needed. The food was great and their friendly, positive attitude made everyone feel welcome. 🤗

Driving the 4WD ourselves on the sand was an absolute highlight and a truly unique, once-in-a-lifetime experience. So much fun and something we will never forget! 🏖️

We did a two day tour of K’gari with Mark as our tour guide. He was garrulous, erudite and personable. He kept us on time with great charm and patience. The group was a fun mix of many nationalities. Even though we were more than twice their ages, we were made to feel welcome. The island was stunning.

We had the best time on our Fraser Island tour with Graham – he honestly made the trip. The island itself is stunning, with amazing beaches, lakes, and rainforests, but it was Graham’s stories, knowledge, and sense of humour that really brought it all to life. You can tell he genuinely loves the place and sharing it with people. Couldn’t recommend Dingos Tours (and especially Graham!) highly enough. It was an unforgettable few days exploring a beautiful place with great people and a top guide. Accommodation and food was great too!

We booked the 2-day 4WD Tagalong Tour last minute and were so lucky to get the last two spots with Fraser Dingo! From the moment we arrived, everything felt super professional and welcoming. The cars were spotless, the beach house was cozy and clean, and the whole trip was really well organized.

Our guide Bob was amazing – funny, knowledgeable, and made sure everyone had a great time. The kitchen team took great care of us too. The itinerary was relaxed but we still got to see all the highlights. Driving through the sand and along the beach was definitely a highlight!

Amazing tour experience! We did the 2 day tour and the only wish I had was that we did the 3 day one. The island is beautiful and the 2-day tour gives you a little taste of everything. Bob was a knowledgeable and fun guide, the meals were good and it was great to stay overnight on the island and get the full experience. Highly recommend.

From the moment we met Linda at the office we knew that fun times were ahead. Briefing for drivers and radio operators came next then we were on the road to the ferry with our guide for the next three days BOB. His friendly and professional manner has us at ease straight away. I could go on for ages about the places we visited but I won't as sone of them were hidden gems that maybe should be kept secret.
Our lodge accommodation was clean and comfortable and the girls (Mona and Luca) were wonderful at looking after us and went above and beyond. Note... if you are looking for 5☆ this won't be for you. The Lodge is one minutes walk from the beautiful 75 mile beach with Dingos! Shops are close for essentials like suncream and beers. Other than drinks you'll need for nothing else on the tour. We had so many highlights, nature and history walks and talks, lake and sea pool swims, wildlife galore, crazy driving in the forest and beach sands and beautiful scenery. Our group all loved our guide Bob. Patient, informative, caring, helpful, hilatious and very hard working. He's a total LEGEND!! THANKYOU BOB AND DINGO TOURS. You've been a massive highlight of our Aussie experiences.

I had a fantastic time with Fraser Dingo 4wd Adventures! It was 3 days full of adventures, beach time and unforgettable moments! We had the best time out on K’gari for 2 days with our tour guide Graham and driving our pink jeeps on this beautiful sand island.
The tour was great fun with trips to beaches creeks and lakes, saw dingos and whales along with a wealth of knowledge shared by Graham.
We were well looked after at the beach house and Linda cooked fabulous food suiting everyone’s needs.

Amazing Tour!! We had three days of great fun seeing all main attractions of the Island. Our travel group as well as our tour guide Graham were just amazing. A very nice accomodation, very good food and overall one of the best experiences we had during our time in Australia. Would highly recommend!

Bob is the GOAT – hands down the best tour guide ever!

We did the 2-day, 1-night tour and we are now part of the Pink Pony Club! The weather was perfect, blue skies over Eli Creek, the beach, and the Maheno Shipwreck. Day two we headed on a trek through the rainforest, a visit to Central Station, and stops at two stunning lakes, including the breathtaking Lake McKenzie.

We saw dingos—but don’t worry, Bob had us armed with the mighty dingo stick! We were well fed and watered throughout, and the accommodation was amazing—comfortable, clean, and a great place to unwind, way nicer than anything we expected on a remote island. During the evening, we stargazed and saw the Milky Way stretching over K’gari which was absolutely surreal.

Bob brought the perfect mix of chilled energy and good humour—always up for a laugh, with great stories and banter. You could honestly mistake him for an honorary Irishman! He kept the vibes high, answered every question with genuine enthusiasm, and made the whole trip feel effortless and fun.

The cherry on top was the peaceful sunset boat ride back to Hervey Bay—a stunning end to an incredible adventure. Do this tour for Bob himself—never mind the island. Can’t recommend it highly enough!

Would recommend Bob was really knowledgeable about the island and answered any questions you had. The house was lovely to stay in and very clean.

Car hire and stay at K'gari We did the drive yourself option with a great itenerary.
We hired a very reliable 4Wdrive at Fraser Dingo. After a very thorough hour long briefing we were cleared to go. Driving on K'Gari (Fraser Island) was a blast, we realy liked it. Staying in the bringabeeralong house was great, voluntears were very nice.
All in all a perfect experiance we can recommend everyone

Highlight of our east coast trip! We had so much fun on our 3 day tagalong tour! The island is absolutely beautiful and our tour guide Bob took us to the iconic, well known spots as well as some hidden gems. Bob was friendly and very knowledgeable about the island and its history. The house we stayed in was clean, roomy and not far from the beach, making it easy to access for sunrise, sunset and dingo spotting. Driving the 4WD along the beach is an experience I’ll never forget! It can be scary at times when driving on dry sand but there is a full health and safety briefing given before setting off and nobody is pressured to drive if they don’t want to. A lot of laughs and memories made with the other guests on the trip, such a lovely group to share the experience with. The only thing stopping this review being 5 stars is that the food provided was pretty basic, and very small portions. However, that is to be expected when catering for such a large group of people. We were able to visit a shop for snacks and fruit/cereal bars were provided in between meals. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for an adventure of a lifetime.

Great trip The trip was great, our guide was super nice and tried to give us the best experience. The accommodation was also good, it’s a nice place to relax after a long day. It has just two bathrooms, which can be a bit challenging for 20 people. And the food was mostly good but a little bit too less. So I‘d recommend to bring some snacks on your own. All in all a great trip with a good amount of time at the main attractions.

My girlfriend and I did the 3 day tour. Our guide Arty was THE MOST laid back and knowledgable guy we have met. He knew everything about the history and facts of Australia and everything to do with wildlife and vegetation on the island. Answered every and all questions with ease and a good twist of humour that suits anyone.
I cannot say enough good things about Arty. Truly blessed to of had him as our guide.

It was a small group, I really enjoyed the atmosphere, the driving and the accommodation ! Do it you will not regret it.

Amazing trip!

Fraser/K'gari Island is an astonishing place and Ash from Fraser Dingo is the guide you want when you go there. He is knowledgeable about the nature, animals, history and myths of the island. He obviously cares for the island as if it was his own. Experiencing rainforest growing on sand dunes, driving on the beach, small hikes in the woods and bathing in crystal clear lakes made it all worthwhile. The surprising (unadvertised) highlight of the trip: We visited in July and were able to spot whales right from the beach, just 100 meters out.

On the beach, we managed to get on a short 20 minute (paid) plane trip with the most beautiful views of the island - and even the whales too. While it is an 'extra', I would recommend it any day as the price was definitely affordable (80 AUD).

Ash and his pleasent crew catered for the group with lunch and dinner in their house near the beach. We walked to see the beautiful sunrise early in the morning on our own carrying the provided Dingo sticks, just in case. While we saw lots of Dingos, none approached us at any time.

The group size was good allowing the guide to be there for the group as a whole but also individuals.

The trip was a part of a longer trip on the Australian East coast and certainly made it as one of - if not the - overall favourite on the trip. I would definitely recommend the trip.

Awesome 2 day 1 night tour. Ash was a really cool and knowledgeable guy. Saw some cool sides. The accommodation is also cool with nice comfy beds. Dinner was awesome. Lunch were the classic toast and wraps.

Had a fantastic time around the island in Teddi - a magnificent pink beast! The itinerary was brilliant and nothing was missed in the comprehensive briefing: we were totally prepared for our first off-road sand driving experience. Totally recommend!

FRASER DODGY DINGO 4WD Firstly, I want to disclaim that I have never once felt compelled to write a review on any experience with any business before now. But my woeful experience with Fraser Dingo 4WD has compelled me to pen this.

As we navigate through life, we do our best to avoid individuals or businesses that are generally horrible to deal with. We do our best to avoid any engagement with bad faith acting entities . but sometimes even those of us most alert to these corrupt operators unwittingly become entangled in their web of deceit, nastiness . and yes fraud. Sadly, amongst many others it seems, I too was ensnarled in the Fraser Dingo scam business model.

In my excitement and enthusiasm for my trip to K’gari with my 2 sons I didn’t pay particular attention to the manner in which the safety briefer (who I later came to know as the FRASER DINGO 4WD business owner – Ash, as he calls himself) conducted himself with me as his customer. At this stage of our engagement, his manner just registered as “a little off” a dude with of a bit of a bad vibe, if you will. Then there was the moment when I witnessed this same man berate one of his subordinates sweeping the floor of the business. A big red flag went up there “this guy is not very nice”, I thought to myself .. but hey . big picture .. I’m off to K’Gari with my lads so all is well in the world! Adventure Awaits! And it was .. until the car they gave us broke down within 2 hours of collection (it had more than 400,000 kms on the odometer) and was clearly not road worthy, let alone off-road worthy. On calling Fraser Dingo 4WD for assistance we received nothing but hyper aggression, rudeness, defensiveness, general bad faith acting and ultimately attempted financial fraud.

LET THIS BE A CLEAR WARNING TO ANYONE CONSIDERING ENGAGING FRASER DINGO 4WD: AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS because if you don’t (and I hope the irony is not lost here) IT WILL COST YOU DEARLTY!

FRASER DINGO 4WD have scamming baked into their business model and will attempt to take as much of your vehicle bond money using any pretext they think they can get away with.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

K’gari is an incredible place to visit and offers amazing experiences for all willing to venture to this special wilderness. Don’t let that amazing experience be ruined by dealing with horrible people running a scam business.

An incredible experience! Definitely one of the highlights of our travels along the east coast. We did a 2 day tour. It was a lot of fun getting to drive the vehicles around such a picturesque, one of a kind island and getting a glimpse at some of the native wildlife. Arty is a true Aussie and an excellent guide who is clearly very passionate about the island and the cultural and historical significance of all the landmarks/destinations we visited along the way. The volunteers at the accommodation were also very helpful and welcoming.

Highly recommended. Four of us are just back from doing the 3 day tag along tour and we had the BEST time. It was organised, professional and really good fun. The cars are easy to drive, big enough for 7 and the accommodation well thought out and much better than we were expecting! Plenty of food and snacks too.

Arty is the ideal tour guide with heaps of experience and stories to share throughout the trip. We were super lucky with the weather but no doubt this spot of paradise is beautiful come rain or shine. Get yourself booked on asap!

The highlight of our trip to Australia! Absolute Must do!!! Oh where do I begin! I wish I could just relive this incredible experience all over again! K’gari is most definitely the highlight of our whole trip in Australia so far! This magical island captivated us with its beauty, history and wildlife! We were fortunate enough to have the awesome Arty as our tour guide, Arty is so passionate, informative and gets you involved with the culture of the island! He really gave us food for thought about the Butchulla people, the conservation of Dingos and preservation of the beautiful natural wonders we were immersed in during our 3 day stay on the Island. Stunning sunrises, eventful off-road driving in the jungle and along the beach then to top it off with a dip in the natural lakes! We were so lucky to have a fun group of like minded people who all got involved and engaged themselves into the full experience, which really completed this tour! I hope to do it all again one day!

We did the 2 day 1 night tour with tour guide Graham. The trip was amazing and the driving was really cool - the spots we were taken to were all very worth doing and they packed a lot into the 2 days!

Unfortunately the water wasn’t working for most of our stay there, I think there was an issue with the filter but even so, it meant a lot of us couldn’t fill water bottles up, shower, or flush the toilet which really wasn’t great - considering what we’d paid to be there and a bottle of water at the shop was $8!!!

Our guide was very knowledgeable, however, he could’ve been friendlier. He seemed to get frustrated with people making small mistakes (mostly when it came to driving), maybe he forgot it was all our first time visiting and driving on the island. He also brought up some very strong views on topics like the covid vaccine etc which was really unprofessional. It made a few of us feel uncomfortable. The food was okay but perhaps could’ve been a little better. Accommodation was nice enough and the rooms got cool-ish in the evenings.

Overall I enjoyed the trip but the water and tour guide sadly had a bit of an impact on the whole experience. I’m hoping this isn’t the case for all their trips.

The BEST experience My friend and I did a 2 day 1 night trip with around 19 others. We had three cars and everyone got their turn to drive. Our guide was Arty who was absolutely amazing, we miss him already! The house was a great stay with lovely food. We made a lot of friends and there was an all round friendly nice vibe from everyone. Could not recommend this enough if you’re thinking of seeing K’gari!! Definitely our best Australia experience so far :)

Company yes, Car NO We hired the 1 night couples camper experience. The safety briefing and overall check in was great, we felt well informed and happy, minus the sales pitch of unnecessary items such as the wheel track and sleeping bags (don’t bother with either). Also adding on little things during the build up such as a 50 dollar permit didn’t make for the best build up. When we’d already paid an extortionate amount of money.

The main reason we would never do this tour again was the vehicle not being fit for overnight camping. We got 2 hours of sleep max, due to the heat, lack of ventilation and overall inadequate sleeping conditions. Not having AC or being able to open the windows in the night due to flies made it completely insufferable during the night. We were both excited to camp overnight and other vehicles on the campsite were equipment to facilitate this, but you could tell the car hadn’t been thought out well enough. We had no GPS, Radio or AC so it felt like extortionate car hire rather than a fit for purpose overnight van hire.

This review isn’t to put you off using the company, as I’m sure the group tour is great and doesn’t face the same issues, but I would have loved to seen a review on this prior to booking.

The only company you should do Kgari with ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The best k’gari trip possible, so we’ll organised and we’ll ran, the staff were brilliant, accommodation was so clean and much better than camping, would recommend to backpackers, couples, family’s, solo travellers, of all ages

2D1N tag along tour was enough to see the key points of the island, we had our vehicle complete snap one of the ball joints. Arty our awesome tour guide sprung into action and got another car out to the island in half a day. Made the whole experience still a magical experience and the girls the cooked and managed the beach house were amazing. I would do this tour every week if I could. Thanks again !

We had such an amazing time on our 3day tour. Arty was an absolutely incredible guide, we so valued all the extra information he gave us about the island and its history.
We visited all the main stops - everywhere was stunning. The group were all great too.
Overall a great experience and I could see many benefits over the other tours we saw around (no camping, smaller group, very knowledgable and fun guide)

Perfect tour We had such an amazing time on our tour. We like that it was a smallish group compared to other tours and mainly other young couples like ourselves. Arty was an absolutely incredible guide, we so valued all the extra information he gave us about the island and its history. The dorm rooms were comfortable and the showers good -much better than camping! The food prepared by volunteers was also good.
We visited all the main stops and had a great time trying driving which was fairly shared between everyone who wanted to drive.
Overall a great experience and I could see many benefits (better accom, really knowledgable guide, smaller group) over the other tours we saw around.
