Important Information

If weather prevents safe operation, a full refund or rebooking is offered. Guests must be able to manage five steps with a handrail unassisted. Freedom is not wheelchair, walking-frame or pushchair and pram accessible. Children must be supervised at all times by their primary carer.

1) Arrive at the boat by 9.10am ready for boarding.
2) No high heels or bare feet. Non-slip soles recommended.
3) Australia can be very sunny even in winter. All boats are exposed to the weather. We have indoor seating and some undercover area but , for the best view, you will want to move around the boat and be in the sun depending on the where the whales appear. So bring high spf sun protection cream and a sunhat.
3) Layered clothing with wind and spray proof jackets.
4) The waters are generally calm in Platypus Bay but the wind can change unexpectedly and the boat can roll from side to side at times. Our crew take Kwells seasickness tablets (or equivalent) just in case they might feel sick. Just ONE tablet for the whole day. They do not take more than that. It can make the difference between a relaxing day and a dreadful day vomiting! You take medication at your own risk and we recommend you consider all contraindications. It works for us!
