I am so glad I did this! It was truly an amazing time! The staff was great. It was a little tricky to find, and when I went into the building, the door was closed (they were getting things ready), but aside from that, no issues once so ever. They were safe but funny. The staff has a good time with each other, so you know they enjoy what they do, but who wouldn’t. The canyon was beautiful. I was so bummed about the battery in my go pro dying. I haven’t looked at the footage, so I hope I was able to catch some of the beauty. Luckily, others had phones, so I can share the experience visually with people. I am a little bruised up, but I’m not the most graceful person. You have to try this if you like an adventure!

Visiting Australia for the first time and booked a full day of climbing. Brian was our guide and he was fantastic! Very personable and knowledgeable with respectable attention to safety. He was flexible to adjust the day to our hopes, dreams, and abilities. Overall fantastic time. Highly recommend! Would use their services again!

We had an absolutely awesome time on the half day absailing! Ben and Kate (our guides) were super lovely and very supportive to the group as it was the first time most of us had been. The sites we absailed at were stunning too, overall a wonderful experience and I would highly recommend it!

Fantastic canyoning adventure! Thanks so much, Brian and Dawn, for a brilliant day out in Empress Canyon which was absolutely stunning. The friends and family all had an amazing time, with everyone wanting to come back later in the year. We'll see you again soon, I'm sure! If I can give one area for improvement, just a reminder that 'push out' was a very unclear instruction in the circumstances - it was interpreted as 'push out into the water' which was very much not the right thing to do and led to minor injuries. That, and tell people to remove their cameras from their helmets before doing the big jump at the end.

Empress Falls Canyoning My partner and I had an awesome time canyoning. We’d previously done the abseiling with High and Wild with Ben as our instructor and got lucky that we got him again along with another lovely instructor (I think Brian but I’m so bad with names).

I’m not so good with heights and my partner not so good with water and both did such a good job to get us comfortable with the whole thing and thoroughly enjoy the day!

Abseiling in the Blue Moutains The views were incredible, and even though some of us were nervous, Brian, our guide, was brilliant and we loved it. Highly recommended as an adventure day out.

The perfect adventure! I had the best day with my guide, Tim! We started the day learning to abseil (with a spectacular view!) and then it was only Tim and I continuing to the canyon. The lunch was amazing, and fueled me for a fun adventure. Tim was really patient with me the whole time as I got quite scared a few times (but in hindsight everything was very mild, I just overthink!) and the entire journey was breathtakingly beautiful. Photos can’t do it justice, but we had fun taking loads with the waterproof camera (and I got the photos before even leaving the tour!!) The final abseil was scary at first but after I was so proud I did it and super grateful to Tim for making me feel safe and brave! Would highly recommend for anyone looking to challenge themselves! Thanks for a great day!

We had an amazing half day of abseiling with Brian. The experience was very professionally managed and we felt safe at all times even when teetering over the cliff faces. We had no previous abseiling experience and came away feeling confident and accomplished. The views were absolutely stunning. A must-do when visiting the Blue Mountains.

Fantastic beginner abseiling tour in the stunning Blue Mountains. Our guide, Zol was very experienced and friendly, with high safety standards. We built up confidence across 3 different heights- 5m, 15m and 30m. Super fun!

We had a great time at the Juggler's Canyon. Our amazing guide, Zol, was patient and reassuring, guiding us through the entire trek and abseiling experience. We had a group of six during the abseiling session in the morning, then a delicious lunch with a group of four for canyoning in the afternoon. The sights were beautiful, and the abseiling experience was extremely fun too. I would highly recommend it to all. Thanks, Zol and team!

We had a small group and so were able to cram in a few 18ms and turns on the 30m.

I went on the bush survival course this weekend with Dylan and Brian as our guides. It was the middle of winter and we had light rain all weekend, but despite the conditions, I had the best time. It is possible to make a fire even in the rain. We were taught how to safety collect water, make a fire, build a shelter and basic navigation. The navigation exercise was so fun. Dylan and Brian are the best guides - Dylan is so practical and hands on and made fire starting by rubbing two sticks together look so easy!! My hands are still bruised from trying. Brian has some depth of technical knowledge and was able to answer any question we had. Loved this group and plan to return for some more navigation training.

Life changing experience What an amazing adventure! We did the Empress Falls canyoning and abseiling with a wonderful group.
Started out the morning abseiling down some beautiful spots to help us feel comfortable and learn the ropes. Then enjoyed an incredibly delicious lunch before heading into the canyon. The trek through the canyon was both challenging (and cold) but very rewarding. Most of our group had their own moment where they struggled but our wonderful guide Zol was patient and kind and helped us overcome our fears. Ending with possibly the least graceful descent down the waterfall for me and a textbook perfect descent from my partner then a nice steep hike back out.
To say I was pushed out of my comfort zone is an understatement but it was such an incredible experience.
I cannot thank Zol enough for his amazing guidance making us feel safe and helping us navigate each part of the day.
I recommend High and Wild to anyone looking for an adventure and challenge!

Empress & Serendipity Canyoning My college age son and I loved these trips! We had some rock climbing experience but had not abseiled or been canyoning before. Empress was a great first day for this, with rock wall abseiling (rappelling) in the morning and then experiencing the beautiful (& wet!) canyon. The guides were great at instructing and keeping us informed on conditions and how to stay safe. Serendipity was a much longer and more challenging hike in and out but well worth it inside the canyon. So glad we made the trip to Katoomba!

Bucket list experience! So glad I took the day to do this adventure. Our guides were super polite and kept us safe while answering questions and sharing fun facts. They made sure we were all capable and having a great time. Highly recommend this if you've been thinking about it.

Great time! First time and they made me feel super comfortable and confident. Loved getting the camera to use as a group. It was physical but not too much for me!!!

Awesome experience! The first part of the day when we learned how to abseil was a bit cold due to weather, heavy rain, but I think this only prepared for the rest of our day so this didn’t bother us at all.

The group and our guides Luke and Zoltan was great and had a very good spirit.

Due to the rain we got a lot of water in the canyon which I believe only made our experience better!

The canyon and rainforest was beautiful.

The waterfall was poring to heavily for us beginners to abseil down so we abseiled beside the waterfall. Safety first!

Myself and a friend went to the 2 Day Bush Survival Course in September 2023. Our guides were Dylan, Miles and Ben and together they had a vast amount of knowledge, experience and amazing stories to tell, and our group was made of really good people. I especially valued how the guides were also learning from each other and asking questions less experienced people wouldnt think to ask. The course was set out and planned really well too. I never felt rushed or bored between activities, and at the same time I didn't feel overwhelmed or underwhelmed with the things we learned. I definitively feel more confident going into the bush than I did before. Highly recommend for anyone who enjoys camping, hiking or wants to try something different.

A great experience I was very happy with learning all the things you can do to survive in the wild. Im not from here but seening how you would live in the australian wildernis was so amazing. Great guids very friendly and knew what they were doing and telling. 10/10 experience

Great tour, very fun and educational instructor. Once in a lifetime way of experiencing the blue mountains I had an incredible experience learning to abseil and going canyoning down empress falls. There were several people who were new to abseiling in the group including myself and Zol did a great job of making everyone feel comfortable and confident in their abilities to abseil. I will be using High and Wild again for future blue mountains tours and would highly recommend the empress falls tour for anyone looking for a thrill who doesn’t mind getting more than a little wet!

I went for the abseiling half day and gotta say it was amazing. The staff is super fun and friendly, they teach you all you need to know to do this activity safely. The equipment is in excellent conditions and they make you feel very very safe all the time, encouraging you to beat your fears.

Abseiling If your looking for something new to do in the mountains and want to test your limits, this could be it. Our young girls had a blast and our instructor was so patient and comforting for them. Both girls conquered the 30m drop and were so proud of themselves. My wife and I also really enjoyed it. Highly recommended.

What a high and wild adventure! What a fun and fantastic first experience abseiling! This is the perfect tour for beginners since no experience is required and the guides will teach you all you need to know to set you up for success. Zol and Brian were excellent, patient, and knowledgable guides who made sure everyone in the group was safe and felt comfortable throughout the whole tour. The views throughout the tour were immaculate. The sandwiches provided during lunch were delicious! We had a great group as well during our adventure, which made the day even better.

If you're debating on whether to do this tour or the half day abseiling adventure, I highly recommend this one since you'll be able to abseil in Juggler Canyon with the beautiful forest landscape.

Must do outdoor experience while in the Blue Mountains. I did the half day abseiling tour and it did not dissapoint. Our guide Brian was friendly and knowledgeable and all about safety, so I felt super secure on the ropes. This would be perfect for beginners, as they really build up your confidence on smaller heights before you do the bigger drops. A great way to see the mountains! Thanks guys ????????????‍♀️????

He was knowledgeable, professional, and supportive in easing our nerves in trying something new. The scenery and company was top-notch. Expert guides and a fun day for all I've taken my kids (7 & 10) abseiling twice with High and Wild. We had a great experience both times and will definitely come back again when my third child is old enough. The guides are friendly and knowledgeable. They're great at putting kids at ease and settling any nerves they had. The half day abseiling tour is fun and an easy day trip from Sydney.

Talk about delivering on a promise. Our highly experience guides and part-time comedians, Ben and Zoltan made it fun and safe. The crew I went with were awesome, a mix of locals and travellers with a shared sense of adventure. Abseiling down a 20 metre cliff face into a stunning canyon had to be the highlight of the day. Views were spectacular. Lunch was awesome. Apparently there are equally awesome adventures to be had with the High & Wild team. To quote Arnie - I’ll be back.

What an outstanding experience. Abseiling and rock climbing with Ben.our guide who was exceptional. Knowledgeable, safe,
educational and all round good bloke. The provided lunch was delicious and the Blue Mountains is a wonderland for areas to climb. On a very windy day we found spots that were comfortably sheltered and nicely challenging. Definitely highly recommended to go with high and wild!

Novice canyoning and Abseiling adventure What an amazing experience, can’t recommend this tour enough. We stayed at the YHA and did the tour with High and Wild I’m almost 50, and our kids 18,17,14 had the best time, weather wasn’t very nice, but this absolutely added to the whole experience, don’t feel like you can’t do these sorts of things in the summer months only, the cloud, must and rain just added to the day. The food supplied for lunch was very tasty, and the way the whole day was organised just worked really well, our guides Ben and Micha were fantastic, knowledgeable and very experienced. It is rare I feel like these sorts of experience’s offer good value for money, but absolutely feel this one did! Thanks so much, our family will have these memories for ever.
