There were a few things that made the attraction very negative and I would not return or recommend for others to complete this activity.
It was very rushed, unorganised and we felt like we were misled in the information provided on the handout on the night or it was just missing altogether. Long wait time to get in the doors at the start, not told about what rooms there were, where we were and weren't allowed and the handout misled us a few times in regards to what was included and we missed out on items. Free build was chaos and unfair. "Rides" were very quick and some you could only do once. When9pm hit we were told to leave as the attraction and the store were both closing at the same time so no need for the 10% off voucher I guess . we knew the attraction but not the store we thought we would have at least 10 mins to finish up as they never told us the store was closing at the same time. Still very aimed at children I didn't see anything "adult" apart from no kids running around, I would not return or recommend unless some major changes are made. I know some people love this attraction but for a novie I did not enjoy it and felt deflated leaving and just wanted to share my experience. The staff were nice it was just the premise of the night not the staff at all.

Mini LEGO Melbourne was amazing to look at! So many little Easter eggs.
Liked the free passport and stamps!
Highly recommend the visit though and adults night is a wonderful way to let out your inner child!!
Has a nice gift shop where you can buy Lego kits.
The 3D cinema is really cool but be prepared to get sprayed with water.
There are more activities to do than you can fit in 3 hours.
Try going during the week as it's super busy on the weekends.

Lazer tag must have been broken. Wtf was that?! Horrible.
Kids did like the VR. Maybe it can last longer than 1 min?
The lego workshop was ok. The lil ride was ok. My kids absolutely love legos. This just wasn't it for us. Came based off of reviews.
Didn't try the lil Cafe.

One of the highlights was the 4D cinema, that screens short 30-minute movies that play continuously throughout the day, which gave us a nice break between all the hands-on fun.
Only downside: the LEGO sets in the retail area are noticeably pricier compared to Kmart or Big W, which was a bit disappointing. Still, the overall experience makes it worth a visit, especially for LEGO-loving families!
If you go just for the kids, you are literally paying for an expensive day care.
The 4D was absolutely awful. It had very few effects and most of those effects were just getting soaked with cold water.
I usually don't say this but if you want a good time with the kids, probably go somewhere else, unless you love Lego.
Inside, the Miniland, a Lego recreation of Melbourne's landmarks, is commendable and interesting (see photos), along with the theatre and gift shop; the staff is also friendly. However, the other attractions- two rides, a play centre, and a few other small exhibitions- are underwhelming and squarely for young children. The cafe offers only a rudimentary selection- I would definitely recommend dining elsewhere in Chadstone. One of the play facilities is also rather dilapidated (again see photo).
On balance, this discovery centre is not atrocious, but neither is it particularly memorable, and is certainly overpriced.

Kids loved it. When we visit Melbourne again we would come back - with food prepared so we can stay longer.

From the moment we walked in the kids were engaged the whole time.
The duration of our visit was over 3 hours. We would have stayed longer but had to get going due to prior commitment.
The staff were great, especially the master builder Teddy who went above and beyond to make the experience fun and enjoyable. This is the perfect job for him as he was kind and showed a genuine interest in what the kids were building.
I can’t say I had a favourite part of the experience as Lego has done a fabulous job at making it fun for all ages.

Bit weird that my sister and her two daughters bought their tickets ahead of us, we were next in line and the sales person notified us the price had just gone up as they were already at capacity! It was an extra $2 each a ticket. Not much but I have never experienced this before
There was a small interactive ride and lots of free building for your kids. A 4D movie and soft play for kids under 5 if that is what you are into.
Unfortunately I got overcharged for a cookie and a drink (on top of the already expensive ticket) so wasnt overly impressed.
At the beginning you are also given a lego mini figure which you can swap at the 'swapping wall' - all the figures already looked pretty plain as Im sure everyone had swapped theirs but you are able to get an accessory at the end which was pretty cool.
Loved the re-creation of Melbourne in Lego room.

It was one of the reasons we travelled interstate to visit Melbourne and we loved it.
The staff who stood out was the guy who scanned our tickets at the entrance today 30/6 at 12pm (sorry didn’t catch his name), he was energetic, very accomodating and friendly. You can tell he’s passionate about his job. Overall very fun experience.
Few points would make the experience more enjoyable:
The hot food was a little bit less than expected.
There was no music in the party room as they don’t have speakers installed which is not expected.
Other than this we bought the annual pass already and we will be there soon.

they had Lego displays of Melbourne landmarks, a cushion play area, many designated lego areas to make your own creations, Harry Potter ride, 4D Lego ride, and the Lego shop/gift store.
overall was a good experience and would be an amazing place for Lego fanatics.

We were there for 3.5 hours and only left because we had to get the girls home for dinner & bed! Could have stayed much longer.
There’s 2 rides. The first is a laser quest game where you’re sitting in a cart. Children are allowed at any height so long as they can sit independently. We went on it twice and both time there was no queue.
The second ride is a flying bike. Children must be 90cm so my 1.5yo missed out. They were both very much childrens rides but fun for us as adults too. We had to queue for about 20 mins the first time and 10 mins the second.
There was a 4D cinema playing movies every half hour. We chose the most appropriate looking movie for their age and the kids loved it. They were reaching out trying to grab the screen. No queue.
There was also a huge room where they had made Melbourne points of interest out of Lego. It was very cool. They also had some interactive buttons and some tunnels to keep the kids interested in this room which was more for adults.
There were 2 large play areas with play centre style playgrounds. This was the favourite activity for both our kids.
In addition to all of this there was a Lego friends room to build Lego. A dark aquarium room to build Lego and make stop motion videos with iPads. A building room where workers would guide you through how to make particular Lego creations. The main room had 3 different building areas and 2 race tracks to race the cars you make.
The canteen I can’t comment on as we took our own lunch which was not a problem at all. They had a room with extra seating, nobody was in there so it was a private room which was nice. Actually I looked at the canteen menu in passing and saw coffee, hot dogs, nachos, muffins, apples, pop top drinks, soft drinks, yoghurts, cookies & popcorn.
The Lego shop is at the exit but we just walked straight through.
We got some photos taken around the place so I’ll look them up online soon as it’s free :)
And finally it was fun getting photos with the large Lego creations out the front. But you can do that even if you don’t pay to go in.

But for older kids and adults - unless you are a big Lego fan, there are better things to spend your time on in Melbourne

3D short lego movie, and plenty of lego blocks to build, playground, apart from the expo and more. I have spent 3 hours with my kid who did not want to leave.

I was expecting more. I was quite disappointed in the Lego store, and I was hoping to see anything Melbourne themed since it was advertised they have exclusive items. I didn’t see anything exclusive, I could have seen the exact same Lego in Big W or Kmart.
A Lego Melbourne Tram would have been a great souvenir, but I only got a Darth Vader figure keyring.
Bought 2x adult tickets online prior to visiting, to then be told at the front counter that we can not enter without someone under the age of 17.
Due to their rules, which, when questioned, was told that it's in small print on the website that adults can not attend without an underage person.
Why did the website not stop me from buying two stand-alone adult tickets?
The person behind the desk had no compassion, told me to apply for a refund, and told us to move on without any further information or the chance to talk about the situation.
I understand the concept of no stand-alone adult tickets after the fact, but it wasn't easily accessible on the website prior to purchase.
Additionally, when I went to apply for a refund, it as denied due to the fact I was not robbed (with a police report), injured/sick (with a doctor's certificate), or had a death in the family (death certificate).
So, technically, I was robbed. At the end of the day, ensure you read every single work on a website prior to purchase (it seems common sense to do so, but why actually reads everything?).
1st star for the treatment and experience.
2nd star for the train built out of Duplo.

Note at the 4D cinema we saw the new 'Z-Blob Rescue Rush' and many kids in the audience were scared, crying, or leaving the cinema. I'd say 5+ for that one. Many scary monsters and zombies etc.
Otherwise the entry price is steep at $144 for 2A 2C for a timed session. We wouldn't go more than once a year for this reason, but we will still return.

Some incredible display of Lego and we loved the Lego Melbourne setup! It's worth the visit on a discounted ticket
LEGOLAND is a great time for the kids - there’s 2 rides, 2 indoor play centres as well as a movie theatre to entertain them for hours. The Lego art is also amazing to see as well with, I could stare at the Melbourne display for ages. However, it is pricey for adults at $38.80 a ticket each and it can get really busy.
Would recommend visiting but only multiple times if you have deep pockets ????????????

Two rides were a big hit for the kids aged 3-10 and they went on them so many times.
The soft play areas were fun for them, and they loved the 4D cinema.
Creative workshop was a challenge for the younger ones but overall they loved it.
Positive:
Fun for kids with one wizard ride and 4D movie As indoor playground!
Negative:
However, the space is too small and crowded for the number of children and grown-ups in the play area. Should limit As two parents with one child. Not the entire family sitting in there with one or two children playing.

There were clumps of dust and rubbish in places on the ground, do the cleaners pick stuff up or just sweep it into piles? I get after a busy day things may possibly get a little ratty (which wouldn’t be an excuse anyway), but this was first thing in the morning!
The cafe didn’t have hot chips, donuts or milkshakes available. Some of the interactive games didn’t work, with a lot of the iPads missing. Even light fittings hanging off the wall in the under 5 soft play area leaving wires exposed.
Half the staff there came across as if they were being forced to work there at gun point.
As for Legoland as an attraction .over priced and not a lot on offer to keep people amused. The 4D movies were good, but not overly appropriate for very young children.
An incredibly disappointing and disturbing experience, we would have thought the Lego brand would at least set some levels of standard in hygiene if nothing else.

The workshop and the movie cinema was both well enjoyed but the playspace/centre is more aimed at younger kids.
Did get quite busy in the afternoon, food choices are a bit limited to - you guessed it nuggets and chips + hot dogs :D
staff and facilities were tidy and clean
shop is well stocked and wide variety - just nothing on sale

The coffee was good, and well done for having a a range of food for sake.
In terms of possible improvement, it was recommended that hand sanitiser be used regularly. It was not easy to find these, and when we did they have run out. Kids would not use them as it is.
Secondly it was very noisy at times, largely due to the very loud movie introduction, which was loud enough to be unpleasant in the room, but even outside pretty annoying. This would be very annoying for some kids as well as adults!
Blocks tend to be scattered over the floor, which could be a trip hazard.
The 4D movie sprayed water, some of which stayed on the floor between screenings. Again a possible trip hazard but also didn’t look good.
You have to queue for rides, which takes time out from having fun. Being able to book would be better. The Wizard ride was very short compared to time queuing.
The cafe and eating area was not clearly separated from the brick area. This was and issue where people were eating on the fit cart, surely not ideal.
