Good for the kids Had been a very long time since we visited last time with our kids and we returned this time with our two grandsons it was a really nice day loved the Kelly fish and the seals.
We think it could do with a little bit of a upgrade especially the cafe
But overall the kids had a lovely day and we will visit again.

Better Every Time Wow!! What an incredible setup this is. I visited over 10 years ago and the improvement is astounding.
So many things I have not seen before.
The seal show was very well done and even the cafe had really good variety.

Was a great experience. Relatively easy to get in.
I suggest It only takes about an hour to an hour and a half to see everything. However, it's much nicer if you have the mindset of going through and enjoying each part of the experience.
Probably only need about 2 to 3 hours here with kids at most before they ready for something else.

I attended on a weekday with my husband & 5 & 3 year old boys. We absolutely loved it! The seal show was amazing. The penguins were super cute. The underwater tunnel was superb. So much sea life. We were able to touch the starfish on entry. The different things to see & do were fantastic.

Brilliant time here for all of us - amazing place We've been to Sea Life centres around the world but this ranks as the best we've been to so far.

From the really great layout and the friendly staff, to the incredible displays, this was a really great few hours spent with friends (human and marine-kind).

The tour starts with a tidal touchpool, familiar to us from other centres but no less fun. Those around us seemed to enjoy it too - the sea cucumber was so soft (little ones have to be uber careful with this gorgeous thing).

The seahorse kingdom was an absolute revelation to me and I spent so much time there. I've seen seahorses before but never the variety of shapes and colours there are here.

There is so much to see and do here, with play areas, a cafe, the obligatory gift shop, the ocean tunnel (with regular talks from staff talking through what you can see), penguins, and loads and loads of jellyfish! But the absolute must-see, stars of the show, do whatever it takes to see it, is the seal show. Brilliant to watch, heart warming and actually gives a little bit of hope for the future of marine life. We loved it and came away buzzing.

From what I could see the whole experience is fully accessible with ramps as alternatives to stairs where needed. Toilets were clean and relatively plentiful, and the cafe well stocked with drinks and snacks.

We had a fabulous time here and would recommend it to anyone and everyone

We bought tickets online which turned out to save us 40% per ticket. But even at the discounted price it still wasn’t worth going there. It’s tiny and they have way too many visitors in there. Hard to enjoy your experience. The seal show was completely full so we couldn’t even see that. Fun things such as the vr experience cost extra and having only one parents room for what feels like 100s of people with babies is not good enough. The ocean walk was nice though.

Had a really great time. Loved the underwater tunnel experience. Were really enjoying the behind-the-scenes experience until asked if we wanted to see the seal show which they'd reserved seats for us. We said yes and after it we were told we were done. However we were expecting more based on our guides comments prior to it. We all felt disappointed at the abrupt finish and like we'd missed out as a result. Until that point the behind the scenes tour had been amazing.

Fascinating attraction, well presented Arriving later in the day we were able to wander at will, but all the activities were over for the day. Not a criticism at all, but worth keeping in mind.

Great spot for families. They have a seal show too. the seals are super cute and smart! The only downside is that the aquarium’s pretty small, so I didn’t feel totally satisfied. Should go early a little bit, extremely difficult to find a parking spot :((

Loved Sea Life - what a wondrous underwater world! The seahorse display is magical and the ocean tunnel is amazing, with giant rays and sharks gliding overhead. Make sure you watch the seal show too. It was not too busy when we went but we bought timed tickets via their website anyway.

Great place to bring our kids (4 & 2 YO) they had a great time. Its a bit pricey for about 2-3 hours max of entertainment.
Unfortunately, the parking is horrid every time we come up here. So allow time for this, or drop the family off and park very far away is what we chose to do. Overall though it was worth going to. The kids saw Penguins, the Seal show, plenty of sharks and stingrays. There is a bit a of a indoor playground too which was good to kill time before the seal show started. They loved it.

Fabulous loved the sea life can get up and personal. There were lots to see with plenty of sea life we took our little grandson and he loved it. Took plenty of photos .the cafe there was good nice food . Would recommend for families.

The aquarium itself is absolutely wonderful, the signposts and facts dotted around the place is wonderful, all the staff we came across were really helpful.

Jellyfish talk and the Seal talk were fascinating and you could see that the staff were really passionate about them.

The aquarium tunnel was absolutely beautiful and the talk on that was amazing.

The shop was suitable for all pocket sizes. If you are in the area I highly recommend a visit.

Fun way to spend afternoon…not just for kids We went to the aquarium with five adults and had an awesome time. I’ve been to several large US city aquariums and this one was a lovely good sized aquarium (is bigger than it looks!) to spend a few hours. It had a great mix of sharks, fish, stingrays, We attended the seal show, which was fun. All the staff were super friendly and helpful.I would absolutely recommend.

Wow! Oh my goodness! What an amazing experience! I would argue that it is the best aquarium I’ve ever been to and my son had the time of his life. So much to see and so much to learn! We will definitely make the long drive again!

Oh, let me tell you about our amazing day trip to the Sunshine Coast! My daughter and I had an absolute blast, and one of the highlights was our visit to the beautiful sea life. Trust me when I say, it was worth every second!

From the moment we stepped inside, we were greeted with the warmest welcome and the friendliest conversation by a young man who was clearly passionate about the starfish. It set the tone for the rest of our visit and got us even more excited to explore.

There were so many different and breathtaking animals and sea life to marvel at. And the best part? We didn't just admire them from a distance. The informative info provided gave us a deeper understanding of these incredible creatures - their habitats, lifestyles, and how we can contribute to their survival. It was like a crash course in marine conservation!

Sure, it was a little crowded, and we encountered a few rude and pushy individuals (seriously, some people should've stayed in bed!). But you know what? The patience and friendliness of the staff and fellow visitors more than made up for it. We found solace in the peaceful areas and made the most of our time there.

Let me also mention that the whole experience was very affordable and you can spend as little or as long as you like here. Plus, everything was clean, well-maintained, and the animals and sea life were clearly well taken care of. The facility is also disability and wheelchair-friendly, which is a huge plus. And let's not forget the prime location - it couldn't be better!

All in all, our visit to the sea life was an absolute delight. It was engaging, educational, and just plain fun. If you're looking for a memorable and enjoyable day out, no matter how young or old you are, I highly recommend adding this to your itinerary. Trust me, you won't regret it!

Very small but great for young kids. Took my 3rd for her birthday and she did enjoy. You can walk though very quickly to see everything but was okay for a day trip to the Sunshine Coast from Brisbane. Probably won't be back though and glad I didn't buy a yearly pass

Our 20month old was a little too apprehensive to put her hand into the touch pool and wanted to play with the kids at the indoor play centre more than watch the seal show but as an adult going for my first time it was a wonderful family activity and I'm sure once our kids are older they'll appreciate it more then

It’s amazingly to see how under water animals living, so much worth it if you come to Sunshine Coast to travel with kids or even with friends. It doesn’t really matter whoever you’re with, you will enjoy the moment stepping inside the Aquarium, just feel like you’re in another planet. Enjoy experience underwater creatures! 🥳🤩🥰

SEA LIFE was awesome! We went here as a post conference to a group and had a great time! We were all adults, but it’s clearly very popular with kids. The shows were all great and worth planning your trip around them. We really loved the seal show! The jellyfish gallery was unexpectedly awesome, and we were expecting to really like the sharks in the tunnel but the rays turned out to be our favourite. we spent about two hours here, and there are lots of restaurants and cafes around to enjoy some tucker afterwards.

We love going to sealife with our little girl. It's free for her whilst she is under 3 so we got annual passes. Great experience for her being able to teach her about marine biology and conservation. We went on a Monday this time straight after school holidays finished lot of other preschool aged kids but wasn't to bad. Been told Sunday afternoons are quietest time which we usually try for.

The aquarium was quite small. However, it was packed with interesting exhibitions. The conditions of the sea creatures looked fine. There were quite a lot of visitors even during weekday to my surprise. The show was interesting and the penguins were really cute !

Very busy on the weekends, so plan accordingly, was very difficult to find a car park.. for those with sensory issues, parents are not overly concerned about their kids wildly screaming and running around, and the tunnel can make you feel weird. All animals look well cared for, and the touch pool was a bit bare but still interactive and fun. Most staff engage with you, some more shy than others. The seal show was good. I would have loved it to be a bit longer. Seal photos are $30 per person. Overall, it was a great experience. I do appreciate the work Sealife does.

Take away: buy sustainable fish and always put your rubbish in the bin ????

Recently did the Shark Dive Extreme at Sea Life and it far exceeded my expectations. I would especially like to thank Charlie and Joel for their clear instructions and information during the dive. At all times I felt safe, had fun, and felt like I learned so much. The experience itself was a once in a lifetime sort of moment with sharks swimming mere centimetres away from me. Highly recommend if you are thinking of doing this.

What a great way to fill in a few hours on the Sunshine Coast, especially on a hot or rainy day. It is advisable to buy tickets online and arrive early to avoid crowds. The staff are helpful and friendly. There are many tanks full of wonderful sealife, from starfish, seahorses, jellyfish and lobsters. There are penguins, seals and frogs. Of course the seal show is a highlight as well as the shark under water tunnel. So many giant stingrays and sharks as well as turtles and giant gropers.
Kids and adults will have a ball. There is a cafe and air-conditioned playground for the kids.
Such a great outing and definitely recommend visiting if you are at the Sunshine Coast.

Loved SEA LIFE. We were in the area and decided to visit with our six month old. On arrival the staff were wonderful and suggested buying online to save money (thank you), they then provided a map and pointed out tanks our bubba may like. The place was extremely clean, lots to see and was definitely worth the money. The seal show was fun and so nice to see animals treated so beautifully. Lots to see and do and can definitely make a day of it. Staff were lovely and helpful. We will now be purchasing the annual ticket and we look forward to returning again. Highly recommend.

Amazing time at Sea Life again today. Did the shark dive extreme activity and it was wonderful. Training was direct and clear with good examples. Staff were extremely knowledgeable about both the animals and diving which was a great combination

Day out in Sealife The aqualife was very diverse and lively. My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed our day out with a lot of wonderment. The penguin enclosures were however a bit smelly which was offputting. All in all though, a fun day out!

Underwater World This place is amazing. My daughter is animal orientated so it was great to see her having so much fun. A huge range of sealife to see and the seal show in the main auditorium was hilarious and informative. The keepers are expert at training and handling performing animals. The other enclosures were beautifully kept, especially the little penguins who were playful and noisy! My favourite part was the underwater tunnel. It is the closest I will ever get to a shark! Highly recommended!

The behind the scene tour was informative and interesting. Amy was friendly and knowledgeable.

Two kids and two adults fairly cheap entry with kids free under 3!! Definitely worth a trip from Brisbane. Kids loved the interactive experience from touching starfish, listening to the penguin show and watching the beautiful seals ???? lovely little cafe and gift stall where we bought some cute merch! Highly recommended for a family day out! Can spend 2-3 hours at this attraction easy.

Stayed overnight with kids on school camp. Kids loved all the behind the scenes experiences. Sleeping in the tunnel with rays gliding over you was, surprisingly, relaxing! Awesome staff provided interesting facts and were great interacting with kids. Great experience!

Had a great time with my toddler! Food was a little steeply priced but somewhat expected. My daughter loved seeing all the Sharks in the tunnel and has been screaming for the Sharks for the past week. Will have to come back next time we're in town. Photos were good quality and in cute little frames for $30 each. Glad we chose to come!

Really? $47 an adult an hour before you close? Wanted to take our 18 month old to Sealife to see what her reaction would be. Went late in the day, there was no seal show on but still the price was $47 an adult (18 month old free).

Thought this was a bit rich especially when there was no show on. Won’t be back and won’t be recommending to others. Far too expensive and not that interesting for the price.

We really enjoyed the Seal show. Was very informative and entertaining. The host was great and gave a joyous show.

Highlight for us was the underwater tunnel walk and all the sharks and big stingrays.

There are no wheelchair car parks. Staff suggested stopping in the loading zone, unloading and then parking. There were buses parked there though so stopped in the road. Also I shouldn't be leaving my client alone while I park the car. We enjoyed the seal show.

Average couple of hours out. Visiting Australia and my friend wanted to come back to the sea life aquarium as they had visited a few years before. The tickets are quite overpriced for the experience in my opinion, the aquarium could use some modernising to maximise the space and experience and reflect cost. We finished the experience in under 2 hours. The gift shop was also quite expensive. The food on offer was good and reasonably priced. The aquarium appeared to be targeted towards children as opposed to all ages. However the do have a wide range of sea creatures to see which is worthwhile! The seal show was impressive as the keepers clearly have bonds with the animals but again more targeted at children then all ages. The best part was the underwater tunnel and being able to see different sea life living together. The sea life aquarium does have a great ethos and mission to preserve, rehabilitate and care for sealife which is admirable and comforting to know when you visit.

Such a great day out. Educational exhibits and genuinely such cool views through the tunnel. We bought tickets in advance and went early in the week - almost no crowd! My one suggestion to the aquarium - it would be great to get free wifi! I had no reception throughout most of the building so I couldn't scan all the QR codes for more info and see the pics.

Loved it! On a rainy day we decided to check Sea Life out. I must admit, I enjoyed it more here than the Sydney one.
We loved the layout and most especially the seal show.

Family visit Small sea life aquarium. However my family and I quiet enjoyed it.
Highlights were the entry viewing of life sea animals.
The seals show was also very cute.

Pretty small compared to Melbourne and Sydney for a similar price. Kids still had a great time and the softplay kids area at the end was a nice little bonus.

Staff were all friendly. Some of the interactive areas need some TLC as screens were not working and the air pumps to send the paper turtles up were siezing up.

We did the behind the scenes tours and also the photos with the seal. It was definitely worth the extra amount in my opinion.

The aquarium and exhibits brought out the inner child in me. All the different species of underwater creatures was fascinating and a bombardment of colours and lighting.

The staff were friendly and the food at the cafe was decent and reasonably priced.

I would definitely recommend a visit.

Never again My son was excited to visit sea life, we arrived just before the show started.we bought tickets to have his pic taken at the show as well,unfortunately he became sick about 2 minutes into the show, we had to quickly leave as he felt a seizure coming on he is epileptic.I did ask that a refund be given for the purchase of the pic as he was not going to be able to have it done,that was an episode in itself as we had to go through multiple people to get permission. We didn’t get the refund, I rang about a week later to their head office, they too couldn’t tell me wether or not I could have a refund for pics that were never taken. I was told that they would enquire and they would get back to me in a couple of days. Never received a response from their head office. I called again and was told I would receive a call in a couple of days. What do you know it never happened. I wasn’t asking for a full refund even though we spent a total of about 10 minutes there just refund for a pic that never happened. Very poor management at sea life underwater world and even worse for their head office.

The talks by the staff were very interesting and informative, they also took their time showing our children all the sea life in the aquariums. Super friendly and lovely staff really made a great day even better.

Terrible experience - place is half what it used to be. Terrible. Many attractions such as crocs, turtles, lungfish, barramundi and otters gone. Seal show is half what it used to be. Place is very old and dated. Daughter couldn’t use her pocket money at the shop as no cash is accepted. Many exhibits exhibits are half of what they used to be. The underwater tunnel is had fewer and fewer fish. Used to have a lot more reef fish and different species but now just plain boring. If you went 3-4 years ago - it about half of what was there now. Had to wait 3o minutes to get in the place with the line up around the corner stretching for 150m. Very slow to get. Overall very disappointing experience. We’ve been probably a dozen or more times in 30 years and it is absolutely nowhere near what it used to be.

Great Seal show Work your trip around to arrive in time to attend the Seal Show. and then go and see the underwater aquarium so see especially the sharks and Rays. Kids loved it.
