Very informative session The wine tasting was very informative but I find that charging a tasting fee which isn’t refundable when you purchase some wine is a bit pricey. The lady conducting the tasting knew her stuff and gave us a very balanced brief on each & every wine.

Sensational Last weekend we drop in without a wine tasting reservation and we were kindly looked after even through they were busy. I was really impressed with the service and wine selection. We left with only a few bottles but less than a week after our visit I purchased by first 12 bottle online after opening a bottle. I can’t wait to open the other bottles because I’m sure I’ll be ordering more!!!

Kylie alone was 10/10 My husband and I visited for our first wedding anniversary for wine tasting and a lovely charcuterie board. Firstly, I need to mention that we took our 10 month old daughter along and everyone was so incredible at accommodating this for us.
When we were seated we were greeted by Kylie who is SUCH an asset to this company. She was utterly fantastic. Dave was also working and answered many questions we had about the wines. We actually cannot fault both of these staff members. Kylie in particular was amazing. She’s a real credit to Tulloch Wines. We purchased quite a few bottles and will always treasure our visit with our little girl . Thank you so much x

Maddy and Tullochs - sensational for wine tasting! We had a wonderful wine tasting today with Maddy, she is so friendly and professional and really knows her wines. From how long a wine has spent in French oak to bottling and how a wine feels on the palate. The cheese board was delicious and she even gave us details for the local producers of everything. I cannot recommend highly enough. Make sure you ask for Maddy 🤩

We had a fantastic tasting experience at Tulloch! Kylie was incredible—she kept our kids (ages 4, 6, and 8) happily entertained, allowing my husband to fully enjoy the tasting. The kids' tasting option is such a brilliant idea! Kylie also seemed to be a mind reader—she somehow knew exactly which wines weren’t for us, and recommended only the ones we loved. It honestly felt like she knew our taste better than we did!
Highly recommend a visit—we'll definitely be coming back. We ended up purchasing more than five wines we truly enjoyed! Big call given normally we are tied to only red from the Barossa but Kylie knew what reds we should try that we enjoy. We want to take you home Kylie!!!

We had a fantastic wine tasting experience at Tulloch. We felt very welcome and were well attended to by the staff. It was great to compare the different vintages of their Shiraz and they have so many great wines it was hard to pick which ones to take home!

Tulloch - definitely one of the best Always a pleasure to visit especially if you like big bold reds. They certainly don’t disappoint. The staff are so warm and welcoming. The wines are superb. Didn’t know charcuterie board was available with tastings though. We will do that next visit. We had a most enjoyable time and managed to take quite a few with us. Looking forward to enjoying G3 Shiraz and the chairman’s selection. Definitely worth stopping at.

Superb experience at Tulloch Wines! The staff were very friendly and accommodated all guests, including children and vegetarians. They also replenished our crackers a few times and topped up beverages for our children, free of charge. It was lovely to learn so much about all the different types of wines they produce. I purchased a bottle of the late-picked verdelho and I can’t wait to crack it open. Thank you again to the staff! We can’t wait to be back again.

As a member of the Tulloch 1895 Wine Club, I booked a private VIP tasting for me, my partner and our 7 friends. Bobby was our dedicated sommelier. He was so knowledgeable and friendly, and he picked excellent wines to suit everyone's taste. We all left very happy and everyone bought quite a few bottles. Thanks Bobby for a beautiful experience. Greatest Wine tasting experience Our wine-tasting experience was absolutely exceptional. Wines were delicious and Christopher did a great job explaining everything and tailoring my tasting to what I preferred. I learned a lot and he gave me great recommendations as well. Definitely go check them out!

FANTASTIC CELLAR DOOR EXPERIENCE We had a booking for the Hunter Heroes Wine Tasting with cheese & charcuterie board and the staff could not have been more friendly & welcoming. We were also treated to some suprise extras and the knowledge passed on was wonderful. I would highly recommend this experience as it was a really one on one tasting. Third time to the HV but first time to Tulloch, we will be back.

A wine experience extravaganza A fantastic experience with 6 wines to taste and a fabulous charcuterie plate to enjoy with the wine. Rebecca was guiding us through the wines and was excellent. She asked if we wanted to try any other wines and was very informative. A lovely way to spend an afternoon in the Hunter.

Mark was brilliant Fabulous tasting catered by Mark to our groups (6) varying tastes. Mark was so lovely and very knowledgeable, we all loved him, especially my 20 and 22 year old. The wine was amazing too.

We absolutely loved our tasting experience. They were very generous and gave us more than the allotted 6 wines and we paid a few extra dollars to taste some aged museum collection wines and they were amazing - i recommend doing this to get a sense of how the wines will age. Very knowledgeable and friendly staff. They allowed our dog to join us on the verandah. Definitely one of the highlights from the Hunter Valley.

Popped in to make the yearly purchase but stayed for an amazing tasting. We were glad we came early and were thankful for being squeezed in since we didn’t have a booking. Our tasting was individually personalised and we truely appreciated the expertise, professionalism, and genuine hospitality and banter from Leo. We only wish we could hang out with him for the day! Tulloch wines are always delicious and have a range to suit all tastes and exceedingly affordable. The atmosphere is enjoyable, spacious, with interactive decorations and areas for many groups. They are very accommodating to children and doggos. We always love visiting and we’ll return every time we’re in Pokolbin!

Tulloch is an amazing cellar door , we attended our first time and loved every wine. Staff are wonderful and friendly , the open fire in winter is a real treat also. We became members after our first visit and go back often for members tastings. Recently attended our first members lunch at hunters quarters and it do not disappoint , amazing community. Favourite winery by far !!

We visited Tulloch Vineyard & cellar door for testing first time . Just want to try something different each time when we are here for our Sydney weekend away. I must say we were impressed by Leo . He was knowledgeable and very friendly. His background is French so he could explain well with different wine regions with his backgrounds . We bough the Verdelho & Sangiovese wines to try. We loved the testing experience, it was in details. The property was pretty and welcoming. We sat next to the fire & it was so nice and warm . I would definitely recommend this vineyard to anyone who visits the Hunter.

The Mystery Wine Tasting experience at Tulloch Wines in the Hunter Valley was just fabulous. Our hosts were knowledgeable and friendly, the wines on tasting were delectable and the cheese and meat platter served was fresh and flavourful. The cellar door is also very pet friendly. I highly recommend!

Booked in a last minute wine and chocolate tasting here and so glad I did! From the minute we walked in the staff were so friendly and welcoming. A lovely blonde lady looked after us and explained to us the different wine & chocolate pairings and she was so knowledgeable. Her favourite was the raspberry and in the end it was mine too (along with white chic macadamia) Will recommend this winery to anyone who visits Hunter Valley.

Amazing and beautiful experience. We bought a wine tasting package (Mediterranean Summer Wine Tasting Experience with Seacuterie Board). I absolutely loved the Mediterranean platter, and the wine was immaculate. The mussels, sardines, olives and crackers and to die for.

Mark has such great knowledge. He was always available for questions and checked in with us frequently. He truly guided our experience and made us feel comfortable.
I definitely recommend anyone who goes to hunter valley to try this experience.

Lovely spot, great staff and kid friendly This was the only winery in the area I found that offered a kids tasting board, so the kids were happy while adults tried some wines. It included different juices etc and snacks. Adult tasting options were great and we enjoyed the cheese and meats board and the seacuterie. Staff were so helpful.

Wine + Chocolate Pairing A unique experience but my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Fortified wine and coffee chocolate tastes amazing! Bought 2 wines as a result and would recommend it to family and friends.

Wine tasting with Maddy The highlight was the service provided by Maddy, she was extremely friendly and welcoming, she had great energy and her knowledge of wine was really strong. Her communication level wasn’t overbearing, she kept it at the right levels. Overall we felt welcomed and had a great time.

How nice to do a wine tasting and find wines you love even better when the person presenting, explaining and teach you is just a bloody lovely person, Rebecca your just the best. I’m sure when we get back to Queensland and the cartons arrive we will be drink cold wine in the hot sun and talk about your travels and your photos. This is a fantastic winery with brilliant staff that love what they do and that shows.

Such a beautiful venue rich in history. Great tasting wines and a rustic tasting room. If it's raining, this is the venue you want to be at. Sitting on the terrace with the rain is awesome. Be sure to check out the old restored truck downstairs. Plenty of parking onsite. Wheelchair access is more than ample.

Cellar door Incredible! If you are in the hunter I would suggest you cannot miss the friendly, perfect, personally tailored wine tasting experience at Tulloch. Mark our host was knowledgeable and was the first to tailor our tasting after enquiring what we like. Suffice it to say I joined the club oh and the setting is dog friendly, with comfortable seating in a stunning setting. Not to be missed! Well done Tulloch!

Something for the whole family! A great introduction to wine tasting! Since I was not too sure about the etiquette of wine tasting, I decided to opt for the Wine and Chocolate pairing set and it was amazing- everything from the presentation to the helpful information provided. I chose this winery since it offered options for my non-drinking husband and daughter. The kombucha options were different from the supermarket ones and I thoroughly enjoyed them as well. My daughter loved exploring the 'drinks and snacks/lollies' and got busy with the colouring activities that had been set up for her. I think it might have been better if the tasting experience were in a more authentic area than the restaurant like seating area but maybe that depends on the type of winery tour. Overall, highly recommended for families!

Always excellent, and we keep coming back! Very much one of our favourite wine tasting destinations. I'm sure I've reviewed here before but an update is warranted. We ordered all three tasting boards to make up a lunch for our tasting experience. Love the vertical tasting experience of Tulloch Hunter shiraz. Our host, Mark, was excellent and he let us taste some extra wines to go with the sardines and mussels. I always leave with a lighter wallet but absolutely no regrets!

FWIW, I don't usually review wines but I think it would be unfair not to write about the once-in-a-lifetime experience I had at Tulloch!

Initially, Tulloch was not part of the wineries I wanted to cover in my Christmas Hunter Valley Road Trip. However, on a quick pit stop here (on the way to Audrey Wilkinson), I noticed the homely ambience and the selection of wines. Having though about it a bit more after leaving, we decided to make a booking for the day after.

Next day, we got there around 3.30pm, just in time to be the last group for the day. Clare (our wine mum) immediately captured out attention with our 10/10 energy and told us to sit down and listen. This set the tone for a completely unexpected tasting session.

Throughout the session, Clare not only shared with us well over 15 wines, but also tailored the session to our palates, enabling us to enjoy what we like to our hearts' content. She told us about the wines themselves, the history of the winery and most heartwarming of all - stories from her own life and family

Fun Our visit was fun and educational. Staff go above and beyond to make your visit an experience. The staff are also very accommodating and friendly to kids.

Best service. There was an old man who was pouring for us. He did an amazing job on finding out our tastes and gave us THE BEST wine ever. This winery has such a beautiful staff and atmosphere, I would love to come back anytime.

Amazing wines Tried wine tasting here, every wines served to us was amazing. I have been to hunter several times and this place is the best.

A great tasting offered for the whole family. We had 8 adults, 2 teenagers and 7 children all provided with a special event. The children had four small soft drinks with a selection of sweets and snacks and they were asked to provide feedback on which items paired the best with each other. The teenagers enjoyed a Kombucha tasting with a lovely plate of prosciutto, salami, cheese and crackers. Our tasting guide, Mackenzie, was great with the kids and she also provided a very interesting and varied tasting for the adults. It was a very pleasant way to spend time with the family in the Hunter. The kids were also provided with an outdoor area to play after their tasting with a huge Jenga block game available as well. The wines were very tasty as well. Thank you, Tulloch Wines.

Amazing Experience The tasting session was new experience to both of us and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The host was very experienced and guided us well. We loved the overall experience and would love to do it again.

Wine and Chocolate Experience Love this winery, must visit when in the Hunter. Staff are wonderful and very knowledgeable not to mention great wines and the pairing with designer chocolates was the best.

Our wine tasting experience was pleasant and the staff member knowledgeable. However despite the cute set up for the kids it is only child friendly for obedient and quiet children.

There was a female staff member walking past as my toddler became restless and noisy giving us filthy looks and sighing. She kept walking past as if to make a point and we felt very unwelcome. This rushed our experience and made it negative.

It was our first time wine tasting with kids and only chose this winery as reviews said it was child friendly but did not feel this was the case at all.

Wine tasting with family We selected Tulloch in part as they provided an experience for little kids with candies and soft drinks, enabling us to enjoy a wine tasting. Overall a very good experience and I enjoyed hearing the history of the winery.

Absolutely fabulous experience today - we booked a last-minute tasting with a teenager and a baby (who luckily slept through the entire thing). The kombucha tasting and charcuterie for our daughter helped her feel included and like one of the adults. Claire (I think?) was phenomenal- knowledgeable and clearly passionate about the wines and wine making process. She recommended some great wines to try and took us by surprise on a few of the options. Would 100% recommend ????????
