I always get great service and excellent advice from the staff.
If your wanting explore Alice Springs by bike call the guys at Red Centre Adventures they will help you out.
Alice is a great place to ride around, with segregated flat bike paths that go for miles.
Would defo recommend!
So literally
.
There were only six in the group, which made for an easy ride and made it a more intimate excursion.
The bikes were really easy to ride, quite basic with no fancy gears etc. The team made sure that we had the right bikes and happily adjusted the seating heights etc.
It is 16km which sounds a lot (to me at least!), however it is flat and didn't feel too arduous even for a couple of senior citizens!! The rock close up was spectacular and the journey was magical - definitely a bucket list item ticked for me.
We were collected from our hotel and had time to spend in the cultural center before being dropped back at our hotel. Water and snacks were also provided.
Great Staff to help ,professional team
The cycle route means you can take in the whole of the rock and see it from all angles
Lovely helpful patient and efficient staff.
Cycling around Uluṟu was magnificent, intimate and inspiring. Thanks
Bike was in excellent condition and Kerry was great with providing recommendations of where to stop along the route and most importantly providing me a fly net to use!!
On my second morning I was able to ride another 26.2 kilometres. I got out early to avoid the heat, starting at around 7:30. Rode along the Todd River bike path the the Old Telegraph Station where I enjoyed a lovely toasted egg-on-Turkish Sandwich and great coffee, along with excellent service. I drank a full litre of water before proceeding. I chose to ride the Apwelantye circuit, returning via the Arrwe trail. It comprised a mixture of genuinely blue-level winding trails with a couple of tough climbs over rock gardens followed by fast rocky descents that I would label Black. No worries. The Stumpjumper from Red Centre Adventures coped perfectly.
Many thanks to the good people at Red Centre Adventures.
They should update their price list if repair a broken spoke has the same price as a new factory wheel.
Thanks Kerry for everything! We had a fun day ????
Very well organised, with great staff.
Only improvement I could suggest is having drink bottle holders on the bikes.
Overall I would highly recommend!
I accidentally double booked and emailed the night before when I realized my mistake. I was pleasantly surprised when someone responded that evening and moved our reservation to the next morning.
We booked the earliest timeslot and the staff were set up and ready to go when we arrived. Everyone was very helpful with the safety briefing and tips before we left and setting up the bikes for each of us.
The bikes we got were showing a bit of age but were well maintained and rode really well, they rolled along easily with little pedalling. The whole trip took us about 2.5 hours for the roughly 15km which included the trail to the base track and loop of Uluru with stops to do the short walking trails and other photo stops. There were bike racks provided at the popular spots and the bikes had stands if you stopped elsewhere.
We really enjoyed biking around Uluru and highly recommend it.
I recommend the earliest ride at 7 am. There will be a few people on the path. You are likely to meet the ranger talk at the coves.
We could stop and start at our own pace and also access gorge and waterholes by leaving bikes at designated stands!
Able to fit in the cultural centre before bus return to resort. Well worth visiting ????
Thank you!
