Discover the pristine South Coast NSW by Sea Kayak on this popular experience. Kayak in our comfortable vessels to remote, inaccessible pockets of coastline to swim, snorkel, explore by foot, eat, or simply bask in the natural beauty. 

If you have never been in a sea kayak, then be prepared to be impressed. They are safe, comfortable, and perfect for remote coastal adventures. Every tour starts with a kayaking lesson, so you know the basics before setting off. In no time you will be navigating rock passages and gliding through the crystal-clear ocean waters with ease.  

This is the perfect tour for spotting migrating birds, schools of fish, playful seals and dolphin, and the very real chance of seeing whales during migration from August to November! 

Our Half Day Sea Kayak Tour isn’t JUST about kayaking. Once we’ve chosen the perfect remote cove in which to land, we will pull up to explore, relax, and enjoy homemade treats, fruit, hot coffee and cold juice. Once we feel replenished by nature, we’ll set off again for the final kayaking leg.

• Footwear suitable for rock walking (thongs are not the vehicles to rock fun)

• Change of clothes for the end

What we do not provide

Shade and sun protection – this is an outdoor active adventure please come prepared with SunSmart bits

Sea sickness medication – if you are at all prone to motion sickness we suggest you make arrangements for medication prior to your arrival 

Please note: this tour ordinarily requires a minimum of 4 participants to run. If you wish to book with less than 4 people, please please= contact Region X to  to discuss a your options. These may include a private tour, or joining another trip or activity. 

This tour is not suitable for kids or people with a water phobia.

To ensure you are adequately prepared for your adventure please read this info and pass it on to your group. We will confirm weather and departure details 24 hours prior by phone or text.

Arrive in swimmers under clothes you don’t mind getting wet, for example: Active wear / outdoor wear, shorts, light thermal top or rash top

Please bring with you: 
Drinking water 
Warm jumper 
Towel
A change of clothes for after the tour (to be left in your vehicle)

Footwear: There are short rock platform walking opportunities on this tour. Choose water shoes, old runners or water sandals you don’t mind getting wet, while paddling barefoot is ok, there are occasions where shoes are needed. Thongs are not a vehicle for fun on the rock platforms, we do not recommend thongs on any of our tours. We also need you to be prepared for the unlikely possibility of walking out from your tour. 

Sea sickness: Those prone to sea sickness should make arrangement to manage this prior to your arrival on this tour. Travacalm or Ginger tablets are available over the counter at the chemist.

We will provide you with:
A dry bag for your belongings (Towel, warm jumper, extra suncream,) 
Your life jacket (PFD)
Your paddle and sturdy sea kayak
A paddle lesson
Delicious morning tea along the way, including homemade cakes, fruit, nuts, sweets and hot drinks
A wind/waterproof jacket if the weather is cool
Optional snorkel gear (or you can BYO) 

Keep in mind you will likely get wet on this tour. It is advised you leave your phone and other valuables behind or inside your dry bag to avoid getting them damaged. Our guides will look after your car keys for the duration of the tour. 

Our guides will be taking photos of your experience for you to keep, however if you would like to bring your phone or camera in order to take your own photos, there is an opportunity to purchase a high quality waterproof phone case or dry bag following your briefing. Waterproof cameras and GoPros are encouraged. 

We also have hats, buffs, gloves and sunglass savers available for purchase at the meeting point. 

The Meeting Point

You will be met by your Region X Trip Leader at the meeting point. As this tour meets at a location dependent on the wind and swell direction, the location will be confirmed within 24 hours of departure. Please note there are no bathroom or change room facilities available at the meeting points. Please arrive ready for your adventure 10 minutes prior to the start time.

Your adventure will commence with a briefing at the meeting time, followed by equipment issue, safety talk and kayak lesson before the real fun begins!

COVID-19 Safety Plan

If you are feeling unwell or experiencing symptoms such as a sore throat, runny or blocked nose leading up to your tour, we strongly advise you reconsider your booking date. We are flexible with your tour booking in these situations.
