A winery with a difference. Excellent food and wine. Excellent degustation lunch and cube tour. Such an unusual place. Great art work. Wine tasting with Shaun was a fun experience. Can’t believe how good the passionfruit soufflé was. Just stunning.

Great meal with wonderful starter in Dali exhibition Booked lunch at the verandah and included was the basic wine tasting package (6 wines) and also the tour of the Dali exhibition (normally $20).

The cube and exhibition are worth the trip especially if you have guests who have never been before (as we did). Nice wines and you can upgrade to premium if you wish. Outlook from tasting area is worth the trip. Staff were knowledgeable and very friendly. Nice all round experience.

Lunch at the Verandah was amazing. Seafood bisque with lobster was next level. Fillet steak was perfect finished off with the chocolate cake with gooey insides.

Again staff were excellent and a visit while not the cheapest was well worth it.

You can eat in the cube which is more reasonable but if you can stretch the finances the verandah is an experience to saviour.

There is also a Dr Seuss exhibition which was a good pop in visit.

Great wine - tone it down and don't charge non tasters. Hubris has got to it. D'Arenberg - great wines. Yes I know you are wacky, it's part of your charm: dead arm, hermit crab, stump jump. But you've gone too far up your own backside with this one. AUD 20 per person regardless of wine tasting (including minors!), yes i know it includes "admission to the building" but you do wine. Not to force an alice in wonderland wacky thing on people when all they want is the wine.

The wine? Great. Speak to the people there about it and they respond well and will go off piste from the menu. Dead Arm is an Australian classic, let the wine speak more. The d'arenberg wine people there once you talk to them? 5 stars. The experience? 2. The receptionist? 1. Might as well be an AI robot saying "Price includes admission."

Lovely day out D’Arenburg We did a wine tasting at the cube prior to a degustation lunch at D’Arrys. Staff are very helpful describing the wines and it was an opportunity to decide on a bottle of wine for our lunch. We didn’t go to the Dali exhibition this time but have enjoyed it in the past. The Dr Seuss exhibition was great. The food and service at D’Arrys was exceptional & vegetarians are well catered for.

Fantastic experience, allow plenty of time! We had a fantastic day, even better than expected. Blended our own Shiraz with an amazing view from the top level, had a delicious lunch in the fantastical cafe, back to the top level for a wine tasting then a wander through the cube and the Dr Seuss collection in the separate gallery. Best few hours we’ve spent on a Sunday for a long time. Highly recommend it!

The d'Arenberg is a must. Great great experience. If you like "surrealism / cube" arts, don't miss it. Highly recommended, you will enjoy any moment and any dolar that you spent. Congratulations, the art gallery is beautiful and easy to admite for people that is not much documented on arts like me.
You need to pay for the wine tasting and the art gallery visit which is $30 dollars, very cheap with all this beauty.
In the wine tast ask for Pratt! , we loved spend time with her. We felt very welcome, we enjoyed the explanation, the wine besides taste delicious the explanation and the experience was really really cool again, my admiration and my Congratulations to Pratt. The whole "cube" acts like a museum, the 360 degrees room is awesome and funny. I really reallu loved and I will go again for sure when.im back in Adelaide.

After lunch at the d'Arenberg Verandah we visit the cube. We really enjoyed it, it was not what we expected in the middle of winery. Its a must if you're in the area. The general admission also includes wine tasting and you can also pay $10 to enter the Salvador Dali exhibition which is very interesting.

Fabulous full day at d'Arenberg Winery! Highly recommended to not miss in McLaren Vale. Had a wonderful private tour experience at the d'Arenberg Cube with tastings included. Explored the Salvador Dali exhibition here and the wine museum itself. Enjoyed a lovely cappuccino in the cafe as well. Outside we visited the Dr Suess display in a spearate building and finished off the day with a long lunch at d'Arry's Verandah. Just a superb day! 5 star experience!

Cool but not worth it for us. Went to the restaurant onsite but do not offer coffee, recommended to go to the cube by staff. Went to the cube and was quickly hit up for a $20 each entry fee, we mentioned we were not interested in the art or wine tasting as just wanted a coffee and maybe some food and was still required to pay entry, we didn’t appreciate the condescending comment to check out the exhibition on site as it is free, No thanks, don’t get me wrong the place looks pretty cool and worth a visit for art enthusiasts and wine lovers but feels a bit cash grabby and snobby compared to other beautiful vineyards in the region.

Amazing place and lots of fun and Jordan was brilliant at our drinks flight. Therefore I ordered two bottles and you are not given the wines at that time and need to collect elsewhere. When collecting it was in a bag and the incorrect bottle for one provided which was $10 cheaper!! 5 * review except for this debacle which was disappointing and now I have an inferior wine to what I paid for

Fantastic lunch in verandah restaurant Had family lunch in verandah restaurant. All of the meals were exceptional. The waiter was knowledgeable about the food and wine and had the perfect balance of friendliness and professionalism. All members of staff were helpful, polite and friendly.
The Dr. Seuss exhibition was very interesting and the lady in charge was very interesting and knowledgeable about the art work

Unique and unmissable The Cube is unique and the Dali exhibition was fascinating. Our wine tasting was absorbing and our host was knowledgable and friendly. A wide variety of wine styles and some real gems. Lunch at D'Arry's is not to e missed - great food, wine and service.

Great Day Great way to spend most of one day at the Cube and then verandah restaurant

Our visit to D’Arenberg was unforgettable. We started with a wine blending experience with Nadia, who was knowledgeable, engaging, and expertly guided us in creating our own custom blend.
Then we had a tasting with Yhel, who was equally exceptional. Yhel’s passion and expertise brought each wine to life with insightful commentary on D’Arenberg’s craft.
Both Nadia and Yhel were warm, professional, and clearly passionate about what they do. D’Arenberg’s wines are outstanding, but the hospitality is what truly sets this winery apart.
Highly recommend visiting, we’ll definitely be back!

Worth visiting We visited d'Arenberg during a wine tour in the area. The building is the most unique winery we've ever visited. Tastings are on the 4th floor, offering very nice views. The tasting was well done.

The other floors of the building includes a variety of displays and a cafe. The Dali exhibit requires an additional fee. Some of the displays were just weird. There are some things that could cause uncomfortable conversations with your kids if you choose to bring them. The bathroom is very unique.

We enjoyed our visit.

Best long lunch experience at a winery I’ve ever had! 5 out of 5 ⭐️ experience! Richard and the staff made our first trip to Adelaide extra special 🙏 lunch at the d'Arry's Verandah Restaurant is top tier, the food was nothing less than spectacular, every dish was perfectly cooked and presented the price is great value and the wine pairings (we had 4 bottles between 6 ppl) couldn’t have been better. Highly recommend heading here for at least a half day 3 hours wasn’t enough to fit lunch and a tasting so we will be back for the cellar door next visit. Looking forward to actually getting inside the cube! The lunch was so great we just couldn’t think to leave to squeeze it in. Thank you 🙏

Every Monday should look like this. I had the great pleasure of visiting this week with a friend to enjoy the wine pairing and degustation menu. I had been 5 years ago, and again the food, service and ambience did not disappoint.
Staff were attentive and took every opportunity to ensure it was a beautiful and relaxed afternoon for us.
Every plate was both delicious and beautifully presented and information as to why the wines were chosen for each was a delightful education.
Thank you for pairing 43 years of friendship with a memorable afternoon.

A visit to d’Arenberg is well worth it. The Salvador Dalí exhibition was interesting and added a unique cultural touch to the experience. The wine tasting was thoroughly enjoyable, with a server who was impressively knowledgeable about the grape varietals and vineyards - always a plus.

If you have time, make a short stop at the restaurant. The sardines and prosciutto are standout picks; paired with a glass of rosé and that stunning backdrop, it’s pretty much the perfect McLaren Vale moment.

Must visit if in the area We are keen fans of the d’arenberg brand and always have a case in the house. Therefore when we were on a cruise visiting Adelaide we had to visit and were so glad we did.
The premium wine tasting experience was brilliant with the lovely Alex who comes from France.
Ensure you follow up your tasting with lunch at the cafe, be aware the portions are huge, but also fantastic tasting!
Not sure about the Dali exhibition or the Dr Zeuss tent, they just seemed to sell overpriced copies of both of their works.
The cube is a highlight and a wonderful piece of design.

Definitely eccentric. Great photo ops. Dont forget to check out the restrooms. The wines were okay but the family style meal for our tour was delicious especially the crispy skinned chicken.

Disappointing Service Overshadowed an Expensive Experience We visited in January 2026 as a party of five, meeting the $200+ per person minimum for the Blending Bench and degustation with wine pairing. At this price point, one reasonably expects a polished and well-managed experience.

The food itself was excellent — the tasting trays were genuinely delicious and thoughtfully prepared. Unfortunately, this was entirely undermined by the service. A neighbouring table, who arrived after us, was served entrées, mains and dessert while we were still waiting on our mains. The disparity in pacing and attention was stark and difficult to overlook.

Good food cannot compensate for poor service, particularly in a setting that markets itself as premium. The trays were impressive; the service, regrettably, was not. Make of that what you will.

D’arenberg is definitely iconic and a must stop on any wine tour. The wine tasting however felt much like a production line with little information about the individual wines, the family history or really any info about the winery itself. Personally the wines were not my style and it sounds like they produce too many different kinds of wine and could make focus down. I did enjoy the experience but more to tick off my list than to re-visit. Amazing view from the top floor of the cube especially on a clear warm day!

A completely amazeballs experience. My wife and I had a fabulous day at the D’Arenberg Cube with lunch at Sensorial Circus cafe, a wine tasting and a browse through the Salvador Dali exhibition. All were amazing.

The cube itself is a sight to behold in person, but the service and fare we experienced was excellent and great value. The wine tasting even comes free when you’re dinning.

The exhibitions were amazing too, and fascinating to read the plaques explaining Dali’s inspiration in creating all the sculptures.

The fare was delightful and we were well attended to in the cafe. I’d love to steal the recipes for the pork cutlets and chicken wings we had. Beautiful!

Celebration lunch at d'Arry's Verandah Restaurant d'Arry's Verandah Restaurant was a wonderful experience from start to finish. The service was warm and attentive, making us feel genuinely welcome. The food was exceptional—full of flavor, beautifully presented, and clearly prepared with care. We especially enjoyed sitting outside under the umbrella, where the outlook was absolutely beautiful and added to the relaxed atmosphere. It’s a perfect setting for a special occasion, and truly a wonderful place to celebrate a retirement. Highly recommended.

Rude, obnoxious and damn right dangerous The museum and observation areas were fine, but the overall visitor experience was disappointing. On a 40 degree day there was very little shaded seating and no access to refreshments unless you were dining in the fully booked cafe. I was even refused the chance to buy a takeaway drink, despite waiting outside with my family and our dog and simply needing water in the heat. The staff member just shut me down rudely ‘We are fully booked for today!’ before I could even explain.

Once you are taking money for entry to the museum and gallery, there is a responsibility to provide basic amenities such as cool shade and access to drinking water. This is not just about comfort, it is a safety issue in extreme temperatures.

There is also no consideration for visitors with dogs. Many people bring their dogs on outings like this, and providing a small shaded area with water would be a very basic and reasonable step. Given the scale of the venue and what it charges, the lack of these basic provisions felt unkind, thoughtless and irresponsible.

The wine tasting experience was elevated by truly outstanding service from start to finish. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed and made to feel genuinely valued as guests.
Charlie was exceptionally knowledgeable, attentive, and engaging, striking the perfect balance between professionalism and approachability. Each wine was presented with care and enthusiasm, with clear explanations that enhanced our understanding without ever feeling overwhelming. Questions were welcomed and answered thoughtfully, and the tasting was effortlessly tailored to our preferences, which made the experience feel personal rather than scripted.
His service was seamless and well-paced, allowing us to relax and fully enjoy each wine. Small details such as refilling water, checking in at just the right moments, and sharing insightful anecdotes made a noticeable difference and demonstrated a high level of care and expertise.
Overall, the exceptional service transformed a great tasting into a memorable one. It was evident that guest experience is a priority, and this level of hospitality is a key reason we would gladly return and recommend this tasting to others.

A “Must Have” experience It was a leisure for us. We booked three wineries for the day. Our driver George helped with coordinating the activity.
d’Arenberg was first on our list, 10:30 am. Perfect time to start as we were only a few guests there. We explored the Dali exhibition, men’s toilets are a must to visit; staircases versus elevators - please don’t miss them! Every level of the Cube, every square meter is so impressive.
When it came to wine tasting: we had the most amazing young lady serving us - Ebony with a mountain of knowledge and experience. We were awesomely impressed by her knowledge of all wine related facts and the history of the place. The wines were fantastic, and we tried many the creativity in naming and label design is exceptional too. Needless to say, we joined the club and placed our first order.
It was honestly one of our best wine tours we’ve experienced.
Please allow a couple of hours or more to enjoy the place.
You will never forget and no doubt you’ll be back.

Great place. Quirky, but worth the visit. Dr Seuss exhibition was great too... And don't miss the men's toilets. Quite a sight.

I am quite disappointed about the overall experience. I mean the interior and the exterior gained the two stars due to its uniqueness but everything else really left room for improvements. We spend 130$ for two tastings and the Dali exhibition. There is no love or personality what so ever. When we arrived in the tasting room, the expectations were high given the setup but we were left with little to no explanation or storytelling for the wines. We tasted the 5 glasses and that’s literally it. I also didn’t enjoy the wines except the 2015 Shiraz, the younger ones should really stay closed for a while longer.

As for the Dali exhibition, it was great to see the sculptures but again no hospitality, kindness or friendliness. On my questions regarding the paintings, I was met with a rather snippy response that these are of course not the real ones, since these are worth millions but it’s certified copies…

I definitely wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone - even not for the unique character of it.

very special day full of amazing memory making experiences What an amazing day we had. We started off with the blending bench experience, which was both fun and educational and we each got to take a bottle of wine home we blended ourselves, so special. The degustation lunch and wine pairing was amazing, beautiful food and beautiful wine to compliment it perfectly. We then finished off with a wine tasting experience which was also just fantastic. Staff were so friendly, informative and very welcoming, the location was magic, even with wet weather outside the views were spectacular from inside. Would recommend this to anyone.

Degustation perfection. Wine tasting on the top floor of the cube was fabulous. Delicious wines and knowledgable staff. Then headed down to D'Arry's Verandah restaurant for the degustation menu which was sublime. Sitting outside with gorgeous views of the vines, a glass of local wine, and magificent food, we couldn't have been happier.

More than just a vineyard with great staff. We visited Dárenberg to taste their wines and enjoy The Cube"". A bonus was the Salvatore Dali exhibition. What a fantastic experience. The wine tasting with Monica was tremendous. It has been qiute a long time since I was last in McLaren Vale. I could not believe the variety of wines available at this vineyard and they were great. Doesn't ant one in South Australia make a bad wine anymore. My favourites were the Fiano and Rousanne in the whites and the Shirazes, Cabernets and GSM in the reds.

Fabulous experience at the Cube and at the Gin mixing! We went to the cube to visit the Salvador Dali exhibition and also had booked into the Gin mixing experience both were fantastic! Our Gin mixing guru Dave was fabulous and we all enjoyed the experience.

Excellent Experience Had a lunch at Sensorial Circus and thoroughly enjoyed it. Meal was great, service was great, as was the setting. We then went on to do a complimentary tasting which was also a good experience with friendly and knowledgeable tasting/wine staff. As locals we had not been there before and will now be recommending it. We spent 3+ hours there in an interesting and quirky winery. It made for a total experience not just about the wine. Well done

A sensory experience to take time with and enjoy I booked a wine tasting, lunch, and Salvador Dali painting viewing experience. The wine wasn't really to our liking, but the lunch was exquisite, and the paintings, building, stairwell, even the loos, were wonderful. The entire sensory experience was mindblowing. We loved it. I had some trepidation that my husband wouldn't enjoy it, but we both came away having spent more time than I'd originally thought we would and no regrets about the entire experience. If you do one thing in the McLaren Vale region and you love art - do this!

Too much sensorial circus ,Disappointing Bit confusing at the entry, 1st floor is WC, if you can figure out how to find the door to get in, between the plastic greenery on the wall, the 2nd floor is exhibition , the 3rd is the restaurant, the 4th is wine tasting. We went there just to celebrating a birthday, got a table with nice view. The whole place is over complicated, the waitresses preparing part of the food instead of service, had to wait for the waitress then for the food, they forgot one of the dish, the food is kind of snacky type, was ok, it was warm instead of hot,

Bash event The WA Variety Bash evening launch took place here. It's a very interesting place to hold an event, and due to the different levels, it was hard to do networking. However, the food and wine did go down well.
As it was an evening event, I didn't get a chance to try any wine other than what was on offer or to explore the winery itself.
The cube is very interesting concept and lots of art work to look at. The toilets are a must visit!

If you can, the premium, private tasting is a must! We did the premium tasting that
meant we could go in early before anybody else and basicaly have a private tour of the art, complete eith the back stories and then had a private, premium tasting. Our host, Sarah, was amazing!!! The wines were wonderful, especialy as we did not just taste the standard range. We finished our trip by dinkng at the Circus just wonderful, all of it

Love the McLaren Vale Wine Region Love the McLaren Vale wine region on a winters day. Wine tasting room at the top of The Cube at d' Arenberg on a winters day is like watching theatre across the topography of this wonderful wine region on a stormy day.

Earlier this month we went to visit McLaren Vale and learn a bit more about South Australia and their well known wine country
Beautiful part of Australia, nice and friendly people and of course - Great wines ! First stop was D'Arenberg Winery and that was really good experience, filled with great vistas, good quality wines and excellent food. Cube was unexpectedly interesting with all permanent artifacts but also Salvador Daly's addition made it really pleasurable. Great work organizing that!
Tried few different wines - all quite nice of course , almost hard to pick your favorite! But actually Star of the show was Food at d"Arry's Verandah Restaurant!!!
We had beef fillet with bonemarrow and phenomenal jus and Duck meal. Not sure which one was better, really tough question. Quality of our meals was just next level!!!
So, big shout to Chefs they can be proud of what they are offering there. BTW Service was also spotless, so nice friendly and natural. We would recommend to everyone!!

Great fun location to visit. We had an awesome time doing the wine blending and gin tasting. Highly recommended the wine blend if you have some time. Not sure my blend will win any awards but it’s great fun. Venue itself has lots to see and do.

Beautiful art in secluded hills This was a great spot as an introduction to Adelaide wineries. The grounds and artworks were amazing, the building itself beautiful. I particularly enjoyed the wine tasting as part of the ticket, there were some really lovely wines on offer! I would highly recommend to anyone, even those not interested in wine as the building was a work of art and enjoyable.

Lacks some polish but fun First impression was a lack of signage and general wear and tear.
However the views, the Verandah restaurant and the wines and cellar door choices made up.
The “Cube” is of course a stunt but crazy can be fun.
We traveled by frequent train and Uber so no need for an organised tour.
