A huge shoutout to our guide Magnum, hands down the best tour guide I've ever had. His knowledge, enthusiasm, and genuine passion for the rainforest made the whole experience come alive. He made everyone in the group feel welcome and went above and beyond throughout the entire tour.
The glow-worms were absolutely breathtaking, the waterfalls were stunning, and the rainforest itself felt like stepping into another world. This is the kind of tour you'll be talking about for years.
If you're on the fence, just book it. You won't regret it. Thanks to the whole team for a truly unforgettable adventure! 🌿✨
We were in Byron for just 4 days and decided to do this on the rainiest day and wow it was so worth it! The waterfalls were in full force & the forest was extra green. The glowworms shined so bright too😍
If you're in Byron and want a change to the beachfront definitely book on this tour, it transports you to a whole other world. An experience we'll never forget & and always be grateful for. Thankyou so much!
The waterfalls were spectacular and the glow worms were amazing
Definitely a must while you are in Byron Bay
Christiano has an incredible knowledge of the area and shared many interesting background stories that made the experience even more special. Everything was perfectly organized and thoughtfully adapted to our needs, which made us feel very comfortable throughout the entire tour.
A highlight was the wonderful picnic that was arranged for us — such a lovely and memorable touch! We highly recommend Rise Up Byron Bay to anyone looking for a unique, well-curated, and unforgettable experience in the Byron Bay region.
Walking through the rainforest brought a rare kind of calm, the kind you don’t realize you’ve been missing. We explored a true billabong, wandered beneath towering palms, and stood before a spectacular waterfall that felt both powerful and grounding. As night fell, the magic truly began. The glow worms and seasonal bioluminescent mushrooms were absolutely surreal, like stepping into another world.
Experiencing the rainforest in this way was a true highlight of our trip. If you’re looking for something authentic, peaceful, and unforgettable, this tour delivers.
The secret waterfall swim and then walking through the Rainforest to the big waterfall was excellent.
The food served was delicious and then the walk to see the glow worms topped off the tour.
Highly recommend this tour. Thank you for letting us go on it
Chris our guide was excellent, you can tell he loves his job. Although it wasn’t a “spirituality” tour, his vibe and outlook on life really enhanced the whole experience, helping us connect with the sustainability/mindfulness side of things.
Dinner was pretty good: 3 different vegan salads (rice-based, quinoa-based, lentils-based) and juices which you could help yourselves to.
The glowworms (and glowing mushrooms!) were so unique and beautiful. Don’t expect to capture them on camera, instead just soak it all in while you’re there :)
The sights and scenery were absolutely stunning. Our wonderful guide, Doug, was deeply passionate about nature and culture, and this truly shone through in his work. He was extremely knowledgeable and shared fascinating insights into the history of the land, as well as the importance of the rainforest and why it is protected. I left the tour feeling very inspired by him.
Thank you, Doug, for the experience of a lifetime.

The swim was refreshing. The only thing I would do differently is take a pair of swim shoes and a sandwich for fussy eaters. I loved my dinner, unprocessed and sourced from a local eatery.
I’d recommend this tour it was amazing. 🤩
First to a beautiful lookout and then to a waterfall to have a swim and soak. Hardly anyone knows about it so although the group was big there wasn't anyone else there when we went.
After we walk to another waterfall where you can hike to the back of it. Great views. Finally we have tasty dinner and back into the rainforest to check out the glowworms.
There was a couple of issues I had that I spoke to the owner about and the best thing about independent businesses is that they care and the issues are being looked at and changes will be implemented for future tours making it better for everyone.
Nick on his 2nd shift was a very good driver and guide as well as having a great playlist.
Highly recommend for people looking to do something different in Byron
Would come prepared with good shoes for walking, the trail is rocky and can be challenging for those with mobility issues.
Posting some photos here of others on my tour in case others find them!
The driver very kindly stopped on our accommodation on our way back which we really appreciated as our 10 year old was completely asleep.
I would say in terms of difficulty when it comes to hiking i would give it 6 out of 10. It's beginner friendly so you don't have to worry bout that.
P.S bring your own can of bush spray. 😁
Cristiano is a strong believer and committed person to the rainforest and its purpose
Interesting conversations we had
Thanks a lot
And a special thanks to take care of me because I was with my cane!
Towards the end of the evening, we set out on a beautiful twilight walk along a boardwalk, followed by a visit to another waterfall. Afterwards, we gathered at a picnic area for a delicious vegan dinner with a couple of fresh salads. Some people tucked in enthusiastically, while others saved themselves for something less vegan-friendly later on. Either way, it was lovely to sit together, surrounded by nature, and reflect on the day. As night fell, we were given infrared binoculars for a slow walk back through the forest. Bit by bit, glowworms began to appear until entire sections of the bush were glowing. It was already magical, but then Cristiano brought out a traditional pan flute made by Indigenous people from South America, and began to play. The sound was haunting and beautiful, blending perfectly with the atmosphere of the forest. It was an unforgettable moment. Cristiano was incredibly kind throughout the tour and looked after me with real care, especially since I wasn’t very mobile after a fall. Thanks to him, I didn’t miss out on any of the highlights. A truly moving and memorable experience.
Guide was really friendly and knowledgeable, Thank you!!
It was really enjoyable experience.
Rainforest, waterfalls, glowing worms and delicious dinner with candlelight!
To make it even more magical, Chris was playing flute while we were standing in the dark and looking at glow worms with sounds of the nature around us.
Higly recommended!
Nice food. It is a must do, if you are in this Area.
Waterfall, forest, glow worms even the fireflies were there. To listen the sound of the nature, while standing and watching glow worms exceptional
To make it magical - Chris was playing to us too..
Delicious dinner with candles in the forest, it's just - wow!
Higly recommended!
Cristiano was an amazing guide and created a truly unique and spiritual experience.
P.S : I've been looking for your playlist "way back" for years but can't find it, it's been stuck in my head for 3 years !
