Once you disembark from your ship, walk through the terminal building to the left. You will see the tour operator stands on the corners of Hunter Street and Franklin Wharf. Look for our friendly staff at the eGuide reception desk. Please come to us at any time prior to your booked time to collect your bus tickets. Please meet us 15 minutes before your departure to allow time to board the bus and depart on time.

Shawn our driver who dropped us off at the Cradle mountain visitor centre is lovely human who drove my partner and I to the start of the OLT. *Spolier Alert* as I am writing this review, we made it through out of the track alive, with minor injuries and a lot of great souvenirs. David, Leo are really good with emails and communication to help with the organisation of the transport to and from the start of the OLT. Ian our second driver who brought us back to Launnie was really lovely and even stopped on the side of the road to show us a Tasmanian echidna. The trip of a lifetime and all made even more incredible through the simple booking process of the transport. We will be back and highly recommend eGuide as the best solution for all our/your transport needs.

Marie and Ian both provided a great experience getting to and from Cradle Mountain. They were lovely and friendly, providing plenty of information on the region and excellent suggestions. Marie was an excellent driver and we had some great discussions on the way there. Ian was kind enough to take some little detours on the return and show us some lovely local spots. Communication from David and Rosemary in the lead up was also brilliant. Definitely worth it for those who anticipate having trouble getting around Tassie!

An unexpected highlight of the trip! There weren't many options to transfer from Lake St Clair to Devonport, but even if there were I would choose eGuide every time! Very flexible with arrangements, great communication and seemless service on the day. Rather than just a transfer, the ride with David was more of a guided tour/history lesson/political critique/comedy show all rolled into one. Friendly, efficient and professional I engaged David for private transfers to and from Cradle Mountain after reading so many recommendations across the Internet and I have to say - the experience of organising a transfer on my own, first time visiting Tasmania without any access to a car, couldn't have been any smoother. David/Rosemary were both always very quick and responsive over email, graciously provided suggestions on my travel itinerary, and went one step further even, kindly offering a discount on one of my transfers which I had booked several months ahead but were unable to meet the minimum no. of pax for, as they understood it could be difficult finding passengers for that route. I'm willing to wager not very many companies out there would go out of their way to be so accommodating in such situations. David/Rosemary were also both very patient with my numerous queries I had visiting a land that was totally foreign to me with the difficulties I had without a car. David was super responsive and helpful. Some of the other companies may be a bit flashier or some options in price may vary, but I honestly wish I had booked eGuide for the return trip from Overland Track, because the other company was yes, a little cheaper, but they were kind of grumpy. Whereas all the eGuide drivers I encountered through text or in-person were always lovely and nice to talk to—and I wasn't really in a talkative mood because I was super nervous, but my driver made me feel really at home straight away. Loved eGuide being part of my Overland Track journey and would 100% recommend—and also want to use their services for the next Tasmania adventure!

We booked with eGuide to provide a shuttle service between Lake St Clair and Cradle Mountain national parks after walking the OLT. David the business owner and Ian the driver were both excellent to deal with. Great communication while arranging the booking and the actual journey was convenient, safe and comfortable. I had very pleasant dealings by email with David from eGuide. David was very fast in replying on emails and explain what logistics made most sense for us after landing in Tassie to try tackle the Overland Track.
Ian, the driver that drove us at drop off and pick up was very professional and obviously a very experienced driver. Very pleasant and safe driving from a passenger point of view. Unbelievably good service Eguide provided a fantastic service and helped us through preparations for our overland track adventure. They set up a unique transfer for our group and were extremely responsive (even on the weekends at night time). They provided information and confirmation throughout the booking process and responded to me within minutes each time I had a query. Dealt with David in the initial planning and coordination of our transfers. He was very responsive and accomodating with a couple of last minute changes to our itinerary. Hasslefree and safely looked after our bags whilst we were on the track.
Ian was our driver for drop off and pickup. Ian was very knowledgeable of the area and the history of the Overland Track and Tassie in general. He also knew the best cafes and bakery for early morning coffee and sausage rolls.😃.

Excellent advice and great transportation service eGuide provide a terrific shuttle transfer from Launceston to Sheffield, then on to Cradle Mountain Visitor Centre and then collection from Lake St Clair seven days later.eGuide made the organisation of our bushwalking trip super easy and David was always prompt with answers to my myriad questions. The driver was a gentleman who had incredible knowledge of the areas we were travelling through which made the drive back to Launceston fly. I couldn't recommend them highly enough.

Also was the David was the only one who realistically told me that I may be slower than my friends who had done it previously...my pack was 22kg and I am 153cm so may have been obvious
(FYI- I was 1.5 times the "recommended ' times so the tip was good)
Also hired PLB for $30 which I didn't set off.
Highly recommend and would definitely use them for with Sheffield or Deloraine if you have a car

Thanks David and team for your great service allowing us to walk the Overland track. Allowing me to drop our car off at Lake St Clair the day before our walk and then dropping the 4 of us off at Cradle Mountain, from Sheffield, the morning of the walk, worked a treat.
Staying in Sheffield the night before the walk was also enjoyable.
Noting that many walkers were envious that we had our car awaiting us at the end of the walk!

I've just returned from an amazing independent winter traverse of the Overland Track travelling with friends and family and owe an enormous thanks in no small part to David and Marie Hearle from eGuide, based in Sheffield Tasmania. Leading up to the walk, David provided valuable advice on logistics and options for dropping off at the start of the walk and picking up at the conclusion. Owing to severe weather conditions at the northern end of the walk, at short notice he and Marie accommodated a complete re-think (which they also provided positive feedback based on their extensive knowledge) so that we could do the walk in reverse. Their communication at all times was excellent and their pick up times as both ends was punctual. They have also offered a discount if we use them again or recommend them to friends or family. Cradle Mountain to Lake St Clair to Cradle Mountain winter traverse I've just returned from an amazing independent winter traverse of the Overland Track travelling with friends and family and owe an enormous thanks in no small part to David and Marie Hearle from eGuide, based in Sheffield Tasmania. Leading up to the walk, David provided valuable advice on logistics and options for dropping off at the start of the walk and picking up at the conclusion. Owing to severe weather conditions at the northern end of the walk, at short notice he and Marie accommodated a complete re-think (which they also provided positive feedback based on their extensive knowledge) so that we could do the walk in reverse. Their communication at all times was excellent and their pick up times as both ends was punctual. They have also offered a discount if we use them again or recommend them to friends or family. I have no hesitation in using eGuide for other walks on our tick list in Tasmania or recommending them to others doing likewise.Tony Hill

Great track transport We flew to Devonport. David picked us up, had a informative ride out to the start of our hike. He supplied gas cannisters which was really appreciated as couldn't carry on flights. Gave us good information about the track from other hikers. Ver accommodating with the pickup. Excellent! Brilliant service, made our fly in fly out trip deliciously simple and efficient. Picked up from Launceston despite airline delays, delivered to Walls of Jerusalem Circuit car park and met there on walk completion, to return to Launceston. How good is that! No cars, no fuss, wonderful company, helpful information and local knowledge. Thanks David and Marie!

Hassle-free transport for the Overland Track My family and I did the Overland Track. We flew into Launceston from Melbourne. Eguide was a great way to avoid the hassle and expense of hiring a car. Great and easy transport! David and the team at eGuide were great! They were helpful, friendly and professional. We had transport around cradle mountain and lake St Clair and the transport was comfortable and always on time. They were happy to answer any questions. about travelling around and always offered good tips and trips! Would highly recommend! And would use them again if we came back! From the moment we were picked up at the airport by Michelle until we were dropped back in Launceston by David I could not fault this service one bit. Both David and Michelle are very knowledgeable in the area and can tell you the names of mountains and areas to visit and eat. They are very friendly and helpful and easy to get along with and David does his utmost to make sure your trip goes as expected. We even were able to buy gas from them. Thanks to them we had a hassle free transfer from Launceston airport to Cradle Mountain, walked the Overland track and got picked up at Lake St Clair and transferred back to Launceston....its a wonderful service, thank you both very much.

David was most accommodating with changes to our flight' which caused several changes to our itinerary.
Marie picked us up from Launceston and she shared such great tips about the OT as she drove us to Sheffield for the night. David picked us up early ti take us to Cradle Mountain and could be at the first safety briefing. Due to the forecast of a hot day we beat the afternoon heat for the first leg of the journey.
David and Marie also arranged to have our overnight bags delivered to the Derwent Bridge Hotel for our first night out off the OT, bliss!! They also arranged our transport to Hobart the next day.
A big thank you to both for making our Overland journey, stress-free, it was nice to be able to rely on such genuine knowledgeable people and would highly recommend them.

It took us 2 extra years to finally make it to the start of the Overland Track and David was there with advice and updates on everything from border closures to weather conditions and itinerary along the way. David and Marie are a lovely couple who know so much and were generous, warm and so flexible with our many false starts. As keen hikers, their enthusiasm and knowledge of the area were second to none. We will definitely be back, David and Marie. Thanks for making our long-awaited trip so memorable

David and Marie run a great little operation. It's almost too good value, I felt like I was ripping them off. We had a trip planned to do the Walls of Jerusalem circuit in mid November. The weather didn't play nicely so we stayed at Wild Dog the whole time, but had an amazing experience.
Marie picked our group of three up from Launceston Airport and we had a quick, pleasant transfer to Sheffield. Marie is very knowledgeable and readily offers up tips for the adventure to come.
The following morning there were low temps and quite a bit of rain about, so Marie made the wise decision to pick us up in a 4x4 instead of the usual people mover, for our trasnfer to the Walls of Jerusalem trailhead.
The friendliness, hospitality, and flexibility of this operator is exceptional. Give them a go.
