In this tour you will explore the famous Huon Valley and Tahune Adventures in Tasmania’s south. As we start out this fabulous day tour picking you up from your Hobart accommodation, we will head down through the Huon Valley to Tahune Adventures located 1.5 Hrs south of Hobart. Once at Tahune Adventures we will ascend up to the Tahune Air Walk, where you can walk among some of the tallest trees you ever thought to have existed on a suspended walkway high above in the forest canopy. Next on the forest floor level along side the Huon River we will embark on the Huon Pine walk for a rare look at these fascinating pines in there natural habitat alongside the Huon River. Next we continue back up the Huon Valley through the small town of Geeveston, where a stop at the local bakery or a shop or two can be had. We continue onwards where we can stop at two local Cider houses for a tasting, and other tasty delights they serve. Explore the ancient arts of wooden boat building, enjoy some wine tastings at some of the Huon Valley’s best vineyards. Finishing up with tasting some of the Huon Valleys natural honey including our special Tasmanian Leatherwood Honey, which can also be tasted in delicious ice cream form for a great afternoon treat. After basking in the valley all day we return to Hobart with fond memories having spent a day in the Huon Valley.
