After a quick stop for a takeaway breakfast, Our first destination is the wetlands bird hide, where you’ll witness the still beauty of mirrored floodplains as they come alive with the colours of the flowers and sounds of tropical birdlife. It’s a tranquil and awe-inspiring introduction to Kakadu’s diverse ecosystems.

Lunch in Nature
We pause for a relaxing lunch surrounded by nature, giving you time to recharge and reflect before the next unforgettable experience begins.
Rock Art & Ancient Stories at Ubirr
Step back tens of thousands of years as we explore Ubirr, one of the world’s most impressive Aboriginal rock art galleries. Marvel at ancient Dreamtime stories painted on stone, portraying traditional hunting scenes, spiritual figures, and animals no longer seen in this region.
For those up for a short hike, a 30-minute walk brings you to the Ubirr lookout, offering 360 degree panoramic views of Kakadu’s escarpments, wetlands, and rivers — a truly breath-taking reward.
Culture and Connection at Bowali Visitor Centre
Next, we visit the Bowali Visitor Centre, where you’ll gain deep insight into Kakadu’s natural and cultural heritage. Learn about the park’s ancient geology, Indigenous traditions, and the enduring spiritual connection the Bininj and Mungguy peoples have with Country.
Return Journey Through Sunset Landscapes

The boat trip was on a small environmentally friendly boat allowing everyone a good view of crocodiles in their natural habitat.
The fishing walk was really fun allowing us to learn about aboriginal culture while exploring the beach and mangroves.
I would highly recommend Sacred Owl tours and would book another tour with them if we get to this part of the world again!!!
Our warmest recommandation!
