Come aboard for a day like no other as we depart Airlie Beach bright and early — 3:00 or 4:00 AM, depending on the season — to catch a truly iconic Australian moment: kangaroos and wallabies at sunrise on the beach at Cape Hillsborough National Park.

Just 1.5 hours south of Airlie, Cape Hillsborough is world-famous for this magical wildlife encounter. Each morning, kangaroos and wallabies make their way onto the beach to feed as the sun rises — creating an unforgettable scene that feels like something out of a postcard.

This experience is part of our EcoTourism Australia–certified tour, carefully designed to respect the animals and environment while giving you a front-row seat to nature at its finest.

After the Sunrise…

Once the cameras are full and the kangaroos have hopped off, we’ll enjoy a drover’s breakfast of bacon and egg damper rolls with tea and coffee.
