Season: Late March to late January
The Tour: The tour begins with pick-up from your Exmouth accommodation starting just before 8am. We then take the journey into Cape Range National Park. Depending on the launch site for the day, this may take 40 – 50mins. Upon arrival at the launch site, you will get fitted out with all the gear needed for the day, acquainted with your kayak, and your guide will give a safety briefing before heading out for the day.
Sea kayaking is a fantastic way to explore the sheltered lagoons and beautiful beaches of Ningaloo: you can paddle into paradise and leave the crowds behind. Along the way you’ll look for turtles, rays, schools of fish, and coral life from your kayak. You may even see dugong and dolphins. Enjoy the contrasting scenery of reef and range that this UNESCO World Heritage-listed area offers – all from the best seat in the house.
Snorkelling is included in this tour, and depending on the day this may be shore-based snorkelling (where we pull the kayaks up on the beach and swim a short distance from shore), kayak-based snorkelling (where we tie off to a mooring buoy or drop an anchor and slide over the side of our kayaks), or a combination of both!
The paddling and snorkelling are complimented with stops on the beach for morning tea and lunch, which are prepared fresh by your guide. We aim to provide healthy and delicious food; specific dietary requirements can be catered for with ample notice.
Your guide will choose the tour destination on the day to give you the best experience, depending on prevailing environmental factors such as wind speed and direction, tidal movement and swell conditions. We usually explore the lagoon areas between Ned’s Camp and Lakeside or between Osprey Bay and Pilgramunna.
No prior sea kayaking experience is necessary, our friendly guides will be with you every step of the way. You will need at least an average level of fitness to enjoy this tour.
Please note that we don’t normally visit Turquoise Bay on this tour as it is a beach that many visitors to Ningaloo will visit independently. If you would like to visit Turquoise Bay on a guided tour, you may be interested in our Ningaloo In A Day Tour.

COVID-19 CONSIDERATIONS
Some of the measures that we are taking to protect our staff, customers and the Exmouth community during this time include:
- We ask that you do not attend the tour if you are feeling unwell
- Extra precautions are being taken to sanitise our equipment between use, with no sharing of equipment. Guests are encouraged to bring their own equipment if possible (e.g. snorkel mask)
- Meals/snacks will be modified during this time. Instead of our usual ‘picnic-style’ shared meals, guides will be preparing and serving all snacks and meals individually
- Staff have successfully completed the WA Government’s AHA Hospitality & Hygiene COVID-19 Hygiene Course, we will have a nominated Hygiene Officer on all tours, and have detailed COVID Safety Plans in place
- Guests have the option to follow us to the tour location in their own vehicle if preferred. Travel time to the tour location can be between 45 minutes and 1 hour. Please advise us upon or after booking if you would like to take this option
- Hand sanitizer will be available for guests to use throughout the tour/hire process
- Guests are encouraged to make bookings via phone, email or online instead of in person

The tour was 4 hours, with a total drive time of 1.5 hours. We spent just under an hour in the water and the rest of the time standing around listening to repetitive instructions from the guide and again on the beach making mostly small talk. The time in the water was basically 2 laps, going out 100 feet or so and drifting back.
It really felt like this company was just mailing it in, which is really disappointing because we will most likely never be back to this part of the world.
My next tour will be a longer one!
Thank you!
Lorna
The scenery was spectacular and we stopped at the lighthouse for panoramic views of Turquoise Bay.
We have no hesitation in thoroughly recommending this tour.
We chose the all day snorkelling, it was very good. We saw fish turtles an a stingray. Rosie our guide was very informative and helpful to my wife and I who were novice snorkels. She also provided a very pleasant lunch.
I would definitely use them again if I return to Ningaloo.
All the equipment provided is excellent quality and instructions were very clear and Rosie made sure we all had plenty of time in the water to enjoy the fabulous marine life including the beautiful turtles.
Followed by yummy snacks and gentle paddle back, I can’t recommend this tour highly enough!!!
My husband is a beginner snorkeller, and Carlton was amazing—so attentive and supportive. He was always right there, helping him whenever he needed it!
We saw stingrays, clownfish, and lots of beautiful fish. On the way, we even spotted dingoes and emus! Carlton is super knowledgeable about the local wildlife and Exmouth. A truly great day for us all!

Absolutely would recommend.
Everything is well organized and prepped for.
Guides are knowledgeable and super friendly.
Thanks Rosie & Sam!
I've been here before but this is definitely the best way to experience Ningaloo.
Being immersed in it, night & day and still not getting enough!
Our group WEA from NSW experienced 5 days of kayaking along turquoise reef coastline. The turtles, sting rays and a multitude of fish were in abundance. Each cove we paddled into we would snorkel and have a picnic.
Our camp behind the dunes was very well set up with clean comfortable tents and the bush kitchen was always dishing out delicious food.
The hiking was equally amazing as we were surrounded but the ancient fossilised landscape.
Our guides Neri and Jules were nothing but professional, hard working, fun wonder women who made sure our adventure was out of this world.
Weather was perfect, Nick and Clayton were friendly and helpful and the reef swim was beautiful.
Also, thanks for sharing photos from the day with us - great mementos - and a special mention for Ally in the office who made sure the whole family could go on the same tour.
From start to finish, everything was incredibly well organized and enjoyable. Our guide, Julia, was truly awesome—super friendly, knowledgeable, and made everyone feel completely at ease. She genuinely wanted each of us to have the best experience possible.
We went to two snorkel locations and I saw everything I wanted to see , lots of marine life, coral and a turtle! We stopped for a break between the two sites and snacks were provided which even included gluten free for me.
On the return trip back to town Jules also took the time to stop at a beach where we saw turtles swimming in the sea. Also great to see photos from the tour on the company’s website. Perfect end to a lovely day.
We also rented a wetsuit from them on another day and also here very friendly and professional and super smooth! Recommend for hiring gear too!
Our favorite part of the tour was the snorkel. Visibility was great and there was lots to see despite being close to shore. Water was a little choppy but Jules provided pool noodles/ life jackets and wet suits to those who needed them.
