Your Inspiring Outback Itinerary
Day 1: Adelaide to the Flinders Ranges
Depart Adelaide and travel through the picturesque Clare Valley wine region. Enjoy a scenic picnic lunch in Melrose at the base of Mount Remarkable before crossing the historic Goyder Line. Pass through Quorn and Hawker to enter the majestic Flinders Ranges. Choose an optional 30-minute scenic flight over Wilpena Pound before settling in for a cosy dinner by an open fireplace. (L, D)
Day 2: Gorges, Fossils and Desert Tracks
Begin your day with a peaceful morning walk amongst the kangaroos and towering River Red Gums of Wilpena Pound. 🦘 Journey along the famous Geological Trail through Brachina and Bunyeroo Gorges, discovering ancient fossils dating back 800 million years. Stop at the historic Prairie Hotel in Parachilna, explore the ghost town of Farina, and marvel at the vibrant ochre pits before arriving in Marree. (B, L, D)
Day 3: Breathtaking Lake Eyre Flights & Oodnadatta Track
Take to the skies with an optional, awe-inspiring scenic flight over Lake Eyre. ✈️ Choose between a spectacular two-hour flight covering Lake Eyre South, North, and the Warburton Groove, or a full-day adventure to Birdsville. Afterwards, journey along the historic Oodnadatta Track, tracing the Overland Telegraph Line and Old Ghan Railway. Discover natural mound springs and enjoy a unique night sleeping underground in Coober Pedy. (B, L, D)
Day 4: Coober Pedy to Adelaide
Explore the fascinating underground world of Coober Pedy, including the Serbian Church and the Umoona Opal Mine. Journey south along the Stuart Highway, taking in the vast salt lakes and remote outback stations. Visit the historic rocket range town of Woomera before returning to Adelaide, arriving at approximately 7:00 pm. (B, L)

For Lake Eyre tours, we will collect you from an Adelaide CBD location, such as your accommodation, or Adelaide Airport between 7:00 am and 8:00 am, depending on your location and tour. The exact time will be confirmed depending on your location.

A recommended Gear List is also attached. Note that sleeping gear is not required as tours are fully accommodated.
Tip: Try to wear a black or dark top on the Lake Eyre flight to minimise reflection on the windows for the best photos.
Luggage Requirements
Please have luggage in a soft, waterproof, and dustproof bag, maximum 12kg per person. We aim to carry bags inside the vehicle, but they may need to go on the roof rack.
