Get up close and personal with some of Australia’s most awe-inspiring apex predators on this unforgettable afternoon tour to the iconic Malcolm Douglas Crocodile Park—a true Broome bucket-list experience.
Step through the towering jaws of a giant croc and into a sanctuary unlike any other, just 20 minutes from town. More than just a tourist attraction, this park is a dedicated wildlife refuge and conservation facility established by legendary Australian adventurer, filmmaker and crocodile conservationist, Malcolm Douglas.
Originally a crocodile hunter in the 1960s, Malcolm Douglas underwent a powerful transformation, becoming one of Australia’s most passionate voices for the protection of crocodiles and our native wildlife. He founded the park in 1983 with just 13 crocodiles and a mission: to shift the public’s perception of these ancient animals from fear to fascination and understanding.
Today, the park is home to over 500 crocodiles, including rescued rogue crocs that couldn’t be released back into the wild. It stands as a testament to Malcolm’s legacy—educating visitors about crocodile biology, behaviour, and their essential role in Australia’s ecosystems, while providing a safe haven for animals.

A Little Local Tip
Broome’s a relaxed town, we recommend booking restaurants in advance during busy periods to avoid unnecessary delays. Be sure to check out the local food vans, and look out for marketing and posters or boards promoting live music and events — there’s always something popping up!
Quick Note: Some services, like alcohol purchases and public transport, may require ID — it’s a good idea to carry one just in case.
We’re always here to help with local tips — just ask!

Thank you again Jane and the Broome and Around Tour.
Beautiful Broome! We had lots of fun finishing off at the Roey! Would recommend this to anyone visiting the North West
Brenda our driver was great, as were all of the staff we met at the park. I would highly recommend if visiting Broome. Karen Perth
Whilst the tour is something you could possibly do driving around in a car. You will miss out on the history and tips of what and not, to do while in Broome. But most importantly the need to see things whilst in Broome. Well worth the bucks. Thank you.
Hope to see you guys again next time we are back in Broome.
Driver and tour guide was friendly and knowledgeable.
There was no prior communication regarding these changes, and the lack of transparency significantly impacted our experience. We had been looking forward to the brewery component, and the miscommunication left us dissatisfied
It felt like an immersive journey through time, with Brenda bringing each stop to life and sharing great local tips to help you experience the very best of Broome. I also had the pleasure of meeting the owner the day before. She is warm, welcoming and clearly passionate about showcasing this incredible destination.
The comfy, air-conditioned bus made the experience even better, such a nice way to explore and take in the sights while escaping the Broome heat!
If you’re visiting Broome, this tour is an absolute must-do. You’ll walk away with a deeper appreciation for this beautiful place and its stories.
Tour guide (Pete I think ) was great , very knowledgeable and entertaining . It was awesome experience.
Super easy to book, great communication and very good value for money.
Easy to book, absolutely amazing driver/guides and the tour covers everything you've been wondering about before coming to Broome. I can highly recommend it. The stops on the tour are beautiful, you get to see a lot and the stops are just long enough.
Great value for money, not too long not too short. The guide really looked after each individual.
While we did not have a tour with the company it felt like we did.
We would recommend this business to anyone that is thinking of a tour around Broome as they make you feel very welcome.

The tour itself was a perfect mix of stunning scenery and fascinating stories. We saw all the highlights, but it felt so much more personal and in-depth than we expected. Brenda went out of her way to make sure everyone had a great time, answering all our questions and even sharing some insider tips for the rest of our trip.
If you're looking for a tour that's both informative and fun, this is the one to book. A huge thank you to Brenda and the Broome & Around team for an unforgettable experience!"
The coach driver/tour guide was knowledgeable of the local history and very helpful for anyone with mobility issues. He was also very friendly and patient with all of us senior citizens on board.
We did not feel rushed and that made it an enjoyable experience, with time to take in the amazing views and soak up the history of that delightful town.
Candy, Jane and the team just get it. They love their work and more importantly they love and believe in Broome and the region. They showed us their backyard through their eyes - just outstanding. We saw places that most tourists would just drive past and not know what they were missing.
They went ‘Above and Beyond’ to ensure we had the most amazing experience even down to the frozen lavender infused hand towels to cool down in the humidity.
Truly an 11 out of 10 experience!
The croc Park was awesome .we would recommend this adventure when coming to Broome
Many options available and would definitely use Broome and Around again. Ten out of ten
I also went on a tour to the Malcom Douglas Crocodile Park with Jane. This was also a very enjoyable experience. The crocodile park itself was amazing, you get to see so many crocs as well different types of birds. Ron was the guide in the park and he was great. He explained each story of the crocs whilst feeding them and throwing in some humour. Jane ensured we got the best experience staying back with us after the tour was over.
Would highly recommend:)
Appreciated the cool drinks and cooling cloths and snacks. Great comfy bus. A great overall snap shot of Cairns. Very good communication prior to pickup …
Meeting us and dropping us back at wharf where our ship was moored was very convenient.
We felt tour was good value and highly recommend this company.
Thanks for the ride, the stories, and the air-conditioning.
Broome and Around stood out for its personalised and authentic tours of Broome. l had the pleasure of being hosted by local expert guide, Georgia, who shared the beauty and heritage of the area.
Georgia revealed Broome’s quirky, multicultural vibe, its indigenous heritage and fascinating past as a cyclone-prone pearl center and WWII focal point, learning it is unlike anywhere else in Australia.
Exploring highly sought-after sites like Cable Beach, Gantheaume Point, Breathtaking Views of the Entrance Point and Roebuck Bay, the iconic Japanese Cemetery and Chinatown. Georgia's exceptional local knowledge, personalized service and passion for uncovering hidden gems truly set this tour apart. All the insider tips made my Broome experience deeply memorable.
Thanks to Candy, Rob, and Georgia for another memorable experience.
Broome and Around tour is an absolute must if you're in town and I highly recommend Georgia as a tour guide :)
I will definitely recommend it to my friends !
If you want to understand why Broome is a piece of Heaven on Earth, you have to go on this tour !
