The Margaret River tour for people who don’t do tours!
The day includes canoeing (you won’t get wet or dirty), wildflower and whale spotting while walking the Cape to Cape Track, luxury 4WD adventure and an exclusive behind-the-scenes winery lunch at Fraser Gallop Estate.
The #1 Margaret River tour on Tripadvisor for 10 years.
• Start the day with a canoe trip down a stunning section of the tranquil Margaret River. You won’t get wet, dirty or fall in (we promise!). It’s a peaceful beginning to our day of highlights.
• We then head to the beach to see how the winemakers relax – a coffee while we check the surf at one of the region’s top beach breaks.
• Our next stop is an ancient waterhole to spot freshwater Marron and wildlife and to taste local honey while we reflect on Aboriginal history dating back more than 30,000 years.
• Lunch at one the region’s most celebrated emerging superstar wineries –Fraser Gallop Estate – is our next highlight. We have exclusive access to the working winery and vineyard and savour some of the best wines in the region matched with local produce while seated among barrels of ageing wine.
• We finish our day with a 4WD adventure and walk on a spectacular section of the Cape to Cape Track – the Wilyabrup Cliffs. We have special government approval to use a 4WD track that offers stunning cliff top views. High above the Indian Ocean the epic scenery, fresh sea breezes and surrounding ancient soils provide a deeper understanding of the unique terroir of the Margaret River region.
Hosted by Western Australian Guide of the Year – Sean Blocksidge.
Sean is a local born and bred West Aussie who’s been consistently rated the #1 best small tour experience in Margaret River for ten consecutive years.
He’ll take you down the back tracks and trails that most visitors to the region will miss.
As Sean says “how can you visit Margaret River region and miss the actual Margaret River? That’s nuts. Or fail to experience the grandeur of the Cape Track.”
Plus taste the best wine in the region!
He shares local secrets and stories to more deeply connect you to Margaret River.
You’ll travel in his luxury Landrover Discovery 4WD with only a maximum of six people. This is personalised touring at it’s best. No minivans or buses.
This really is “the wine and adventure tour for people who don’t do tours!”.
G’day, my name is Sean and I’ll be your guide on the day.
I thought I’d take this opportunity to give you a few tips and suggestions about your upcoming trip to Margaret River.
Firstly, I know the one big question I always get asked is “what should I wear on tour?”
The answer is to dress casual/relaxed. I usually recommend bringing a jumper/sweater just in case it cools off during the day and definitely wearing comfortable walking shoes/joggers. I do have extra Goretex jackets for you if we need them but rest assured you won’t be getting wet or dirty. And I can also 100% guarantee you wont get wet during the canoeing experience. I use very stable canoes that I describe as ‘luxury canoeing’ ;) . Rest assured I’ve never had anyone fall in, and I wont be starting with you!
I also suggest not bringing large bags/backpacks, as their limited storage in the luxury 4WD, and we like to leave some space in the event of a sneaky case of wine is purchased.
All you need is you, a camera and a fun attitude. I have all the food /water (and wine) we need for the day. That being said lunch I do recommend having a good breakfast as we eat lunch about 1.30ish.
If you have concerns or questions regarding accessibility or mobility, just send me an email or call and we can have a chat to ensure your safety, comfort and good times as top priorities.

Wonderful experience
Shaun has a great source of knowledge and insight in the region
Fun and entertaining
Our journey to lunch and wine tasting at a fabulous highly acclaimed winery was accompanied by Sean’s entertaining stories and knowledge of the area.
Lunch and wine tasting were unhurried and of a high standard with great food and a large selection of very good wine. The day was not finished here as we were taken to a little known lookout overlooking the crashing waves of the Indian Ocean to look for whales and dolphins.
The tour provided wonderful memories and felt like a whole holiday in one day. A must do for any visit to Margaret River.

The day began with a beautiful and easy canoe on the Margaret River. Even having lived in the area, I had never done anything like this—it was absolutely magical. From there, we visited a private winery and enjoyed a delicious lunch in the cellar, followed by a short hike that led us to the dramatic Wilyabrup cliffs. The views were breathtaking, with endless ocean vistas and even whales in the distance.
Sean’s knowledge of the region—its history, plants, wines, and people—made the day engaging, insightful, and fun. It was the perfect combination of adventure, relaxation, and discovery.
I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting (or even locals looking to see the region in a new way). A truly unforgettable experience!
Thoroughly recommend!
Thank you Sean, for such a wonderful day.
The walk just capped off a perfect day with some beautiful views.
Thanks for a great day & for all the recommendations which lead to other great days in the area!
Step aboard Sean’s Land Rover, bursting with genuine passion and enthusiasm about the surrounding area, and have the most amazing day. You will not regret it. Absolutely recommenced 100%. Enjoy!
Sean is a talented guide - friendly and a great host of the Margaret River region.
The tour group is a good size. There were just six of us. Perfect!
All locations we went to were thoughtful. The day just flew by.
I would take this tour again when next visiting the area (you can never canoe the Margaret River too many times!!) and will thoroughly recommend it to my friends.
Thank you, Sean!
This trip allowed us to experience parts of Margaret river that we never would have got to see otherwise. I love my wine and this was the perfect tour. A bit of history, ecology and trust me, enough wine! The quality and quantity of wine and lunch provided was excellent.
The experience canoeing on the Margaret river was really cool and not many people get to do it. Very relaxing and totally safe. The attention to detail was great, Sean even took us slightly off plan to see something that had come up in conversation.
We saw kangaroos and a rare sighting of (I think) a black cockatoo.
You get some incredible photos at the end of it too.
Sean, thank you so much for the best day we’ve had in WA so far!
Also great recommendations for other days during our stay (which we did, and were also great).
The day served up beautiful weather for our canoeing, which was an absolute treat, and we loved the varied experiences across the day.
I was after something that was different from the average wine tasting tour and this certainly delivered.
Sean’s knowledge of the whole area was fabulous.
My partner and I are raving to all our friends about it as a highlight of our time in WA.
The whole day was at the right pace, not rushed, Sean was the perfect host/guide, showing us areas we would never find on our own.
Lunch was very tasty, relaxed atmosphere with a bit of wine tasting going on.
A superb cliff walk to finish the day off with - stunning scenery .
Would recommend this trip without hesitation.
Thanks Sean 👏
Sean took great care of all of us, took pictures, shared more information about Margaret river and what to do. He had great stories to tell and you can feel that he put his heart and soul into this tour.

Amazing day. Fun discussions. We learned a lot.
We were then treated to lunch amongst the wine barrels at Fraser gallop, tasting some of their premium wines and a behind the scenes tour.
The day finished with a walk along the cape to cape track to a beautiful viewing spot and to cap it off we saw a double rainbow on the way back.
Sean kindly provided some amazing photos of the day and made great recommendations for our remaining days in the region, would highly recommend!
Sean was a mine of information, a raconteur of wonderful anecdotes and able to share and enthuse us all with his love of Margaret River.
This really is a tour for people who don’t want to do an ‘ordinary’ tour. 6 people who get to know each other, share the fun and learn about the history of the land and coast, canoe on the Margaret River, walk the spectacular coast and enjoy the best of Margaret River Wines and Food.
I can’t wait to come back in spring and autumn. Anna Lisa Taylor
Canoeing was beautiful and so peaceful on a part of the river that is rarely used, its very relaxing and would definitely say anybody could do it! (100% our favourite part of the day!) Lunch and wine tasting was also amazing and we loved the short hike at the end of the day.
All round it is absolutely worth the money for a more intimate, genuine tour of Margaret River. You get to see places most people don't know about/find and Sean adds a great atmosphere to the tour.
Highly recommend this tour, it’s a great mix of activities compared to a usual wine tour. Everything aside, Sean is an amazing photographer (evidenced by these photos) and he shared the photos with us on the same day for free!
As promised we didn’t get wet or dirty!
The back door lunch at Fraser Gallop was a taste of what the region produces from the pate, spreads, cheeses, and bread to the Bahen chocolate very well presented and the taste was a fantastic complement to the wines. A lot thought gone into the selection.
His knowledge about the wildlife and being about to spot them out and about was a huge plus.
We felt very safe with all the activities from canoeing to climbing the cliffs for views of the passing whales and just for the outstanding view.
I would certainly book again.
We finished with a walk along sea cliffs-Wilyabrup- only accessible by 4x4 along sandy tracks. With only 6 in the group the tour was very personalised.
Highly recommended, thankyou Sean
The guide, Sean, gave a lot of information during the trip. All very relaxed.
I honestly can't recommend this tour enough. It's bespoke, niche and so much more enjoyable than one of the larger coach trips round the wineries. If you want something a little different, something more personal and something truly memorable you really won't be disappointed booking this!
