There were a few things that made the attraction very negative and I would not return or recommend for others to complete this activity.
It was very rushed, unorganised and we felt like we were misled in the information provided on the handout on the night or it was just missing altogether. Long wait time to get in the doors at the start, not told about what rooms there were, where we were and weren't allowed and the handout misled us a few times in regards to what was included and we missed out on items. Free build was chaos and unfair. "Rides" were very quick and some you could only do once. When9pm hit we were told to leave as the attraction and the store were both closing at the same time so no need for the 10% off voucher I guess . we knew the attraction but not the store we thought we would have at least 10 mins to finish up as they never told us the store was closing at the same time. Still very aimed at children I didn't see anything "adult" apart from no kids running around, I would not return or recommend unless some major changes are made. I know some people love this attraction but for a novie I did not enjoy it and felt deflated leaving and just wanted to share my experience. The staff were nice it was just the premise of the night not the staff at all.

Went on a Wednesday after lunch. not too busy. Enjoyed the mediaeval shooter ride, though my kid was too scared for the wizard ride, and not interested in the 4D movies. Plenty of building activities and features for the kids. 2 soft play areas. And a cafe, but that closed at 3pm. I'd say it's comparable to a play centre with added rides and activities, which makes the ticket price worth it. LEGO shop is full priced though. So might be risky if your kids are inclined to beg for toys at the shops.
Mini LEGO Melbourne was amazing to look at! So many little Easter eggs.
Liked the free passport and stamps!

I went to the most recent 'adults night' and it was fantastic. The whole discovery centre was wonderful with rides, plenty of spots to sit and build, and even a stop motion Lego room. It is unfortunate that adults can't attend at anytime because I would definitely be there more often if I could.
Highly recommend the visit though and adults night is a wonderful way to let out your inner child!!

It's a great place for kids to visit. Although the ticket price is a bit high. You can save money by buying tickets in advance and either bringing your own food or eating at the shopping centre food court. The cafeteria at Legoland is way too expensive.
Has a nice gift shop where you can buy Lego kits.
The 3D cinema is really cool but be prepared to get sprayed with water.
There are more activities to do than you can fit in 3 hours.
Try going during the week as it's super busy on the weekends.

Lazer tag must have been broken. Wtf was that?! Horrible.
Kids did like the VR. Maybe it can last longer than 1 min?
The lego workshop was ok. The lil ride was ok. My kids absolutely love legos. This just wasn't it for us. Came based off of reviews.
Didn't try the lil Cafe.

LEGOLAND Discovery Centre Melbourne is a fantastic indoor activity spot for kids! Located at the highest floor of Chadstone Shopping Centre, it’s packed with fun things to do, from exciting rides to the impressive LEGO City exhibition. My kids especially enjoyed the LEGO Master Builder class where they got to learn and build creatively.
One of the highlights was the 4D cinema, that screens short 30-minute movies that play continuously throughout the day, which gave us a nice break between all the hands-on fun.
Only downside: the LEGO sets in the retail area are noticeably pricier compared to Kmart or Big W, which was a bit disappointing. Still, the overall experience makes it worth a visit, especially for LEGO-loving families!

Expensive price. Less expensive experience. If you are a fanatic of Lego, this is your heaven.
If you go just for the kids, you are literally paying for an expensive day care.
The 4D was absolutely awful. It had very few effects and most of those effects were just getting soaked with cold water.
I usually don't say this but if you want a good time with the kids, probably go somewhere else, unless you love Lego.

A decidedly mixed experience. The entry fee is expensive, at $36 per person, and definitely overpriced considering the relatively small size of this discovery centre.
Inside, the Miniland, a Lego recreation of Melbourne's landmarks, is commendable and interesting (see photos), along with the theatre and gift shop; the staff is also friendly. However, the other attractions- two rides, a play centre, and a few other small exhibitions- are underwhelming and squarely for young children. The cafe offers only a rudimentary selection- I would definitely recommend dining elsewhere in Chadstone. One of the play facilities is also rather dilapidated (again see photo).
On balance, this discovery centre is not atrocious, but neither is it particularly memorable, and is certainly overpriced.

From the moment we walked in the kids were engaged the whole time.
The duration of our visit was over 3 hours. We would have stayed longer but had to get going due to prior commitment.
The staff were great, especially the master builder Teddy who went above and beyond to make the experience fun and enjoyable. This is the perfect job for him as he was kind and showed a genuine interest in what the kids were building.
I can’t say I had a favourite part of the experience as Lego has done a fabulous job at making it fun for all ages.

Our visit to Legoland was a mixed experience. I would highly recommend checking with Legoland ahead of time to see if any school groups are scheduled. We arrived alongside a large group of excited excursion-goers, which created a very loud and eventually overwhelming environment for my little ones. As for attractions, there were only two rides, and while they were enjoyable, they were very short. The play centre was suitable for younger children, but older kids might find it limited. Once the school kids are on it, there's not much room for anyone else. The 4D movie was fantastic and definitely a highlight! The Build-It Workshop was also well-organised, giving kids a great hands-on experience. Overall, I would never pay $100+ to visit again.

Bit weird that my sister and her two daughters bought their tickets ahead of us, we were next in line and the sales person notified us the price had just gone up as they were already at capacity! It was an extra $2 each a ticket. Not much but I have never experienced this before
There was a small interactive ride and lots of free building for your kids. A 4D movie and soft play for kids under 5 if that is what you are into.
Unfortunately I got overcharged for a cookie and a drink (on top of the already expensive ticket) so wasnt overly impressed.
At the beginning you are also given a lego mini figure which you can swap at the 'swapping wall' - all the figures already looked pretty plain as Im sure everyone had swapped theirs but you are able to get an accessory at the end which was pretty cool.
Loved the re-creation of Melbourne in Lego room.

Overall we had a great day, it is definitely aimed at younger kids and not as big as i had expected. We went during school hours on a Wednesday so were able to get around and do everything with ease. The kids were able to go on rides over and over and had a great time. The food wasn't great i had a toastie and it was barely toasted there wasnt many food options. The car pit was also lacking for tyres and wheels which was disappointing.

Not to bad great day out with my son however very over priced for what is on offer here. For an adult and a 3 year old it was $70 just to get in. Place contained 2x children playgrounds, few areas to build lego a racing strip to test build of cars, a medieval section and a 4d movie theatre. Wasn't bad was good just price could be abit better for what is install here.

We loved our son’s birthday experience at Legoland discovery centre.
Few points would make the experience more enjoyable:
The hot food was a little bit less than expected.
There was no music in the party room as they don’t have speakers installed which is not expected.
Other than this we bought the annual pass already and we will be there soon.

we had gone on a hot Sunday afternoon which was a day before Labour Day and there were a decent amount of people as expected. definitely buy tickets beforehand to go straight through to scan. it does get really hectic with all the kids running around with parents.
they had Lego displays of Melbourne landmarks, a cushion play area, many designated lego areas to make your own creations, Harry Potter ride, 4D Lego ride, and the Lego shop/gift store.
overall was a good experience and would be an amazing place for Lego fanatics.

We were there for 3.5 hours and only left because we had to get the girls home for dinner & bed! Could have stayed much longer.
There’s 2 rides. The first is a laser quest game where you’re sitting in a cart. Children are allowed at any height so long as they can sit independently. We went on it twice and both time there was no queue.
The second ride is a flying bike. Children must be 90cm so my 1.5yo missed out. They were both very much childrens rides but fun for us as adults too. We had to queue for about 20 mins the first time and 10 mins the second.
There was a 4D cinema playing movies every half hour. We chose the most appropriate looking movie for their age and the kids loved it. They were reaching out trying to grab the screen. No queue.
There was also a huge room where they had made Melbourne points of interest out of Lego. It was very cool. They also had some interactive buttons and some tunnels to keep the kids interested in this room which was more for adults.
There were 2 large play areas with play centre style playgrounds. This was the favourite activity for both our kids.
In addition to all of this there was a Lego friends room to build Lego. A dark aquarium room to build Lego and make stop motion videos with iPads. A building room where workers would guide you through how to make particular Lego creations. The main room had 3 different building areas and 2 race tracks to race the cars you make.
The canteen I can’t comment on as we took our own lunch which was not a problem at all. They had a room with extra seating, nobody was in there so it was a private room which was nice. Actually I looked at the canteen menu in passing and saw coffee, hot dogs, nachos, muffins, apples, pop top drinks, soft drinks, yoghurts, cookies & popcorn.
The Lego shop is at the exit but we just walked straight through.
We got some photos taken around the place so I’ll look them up online soon as it’s free :)
And finally it was fun getting photos with the large Lego creations out the front. But you can do that even if you don’t pay to go in.

Perhaps I was disappointed because I was expecting more - esp for what you pay. The model of Melbourne City is impressive and probably the highlight, but unfortunately it's not worth the $72 we paid to come in with our 20 month old (they were free). The play area just felt like it needed a good clean, and a general tidy up. The place was crowded, unsure whether the allocated time works. We waited about 20 mins for the first ride, and it was a bit lack lustre, again not worth the wait. The 4D movie was OK, but maybe not appropriate for my toddler, as he couldn't keep the glasses on. Maybe this place is better suited to kids who are older, because if your child is 2-3, it might be better to take them to a toddler friendly play land and save some money. Staff was friendly. I also paid $20 for a single photo which was literally presented to me on a folded A4 paper. C'mon if you're going to charge a lot for entry and then $20 for a poorly printed photo, the least you can do is put in a lego themed card or even just a plain envelope.

We took our daughters aged two and four. We all loved the models of Melbourne, and we really enjoyed the rides. Making a Lego figure at the entrance was fun for them too. They loved playing in the Duplo area before we left.
I was expecting more. I was quite disappointed in the Lego store, and I was hoping to see anything Melbourne themed since it was advertised they have exclusive items. I didn’t see anything exclusive, I could have seen the exact same Lego in Big W or Kmart.
A Lego Melbourne Tram would have been a great souvenir, but I only got a Darth Vader figure keyring.

I recently visited Legoland with my kids, and unfortunately, the experience left much to be desired. The visit on Boxing Day was marred by chaos, and the limited food options, coupled with high prices, added to the dissatisfaction. Specifically, our order of toasted banana bread fell short as it arrived warm rather than properly toasted. The overcrowding led to discomfort, with kids even experiencing pushing. Overall, it wasn't a satisfactory and enjoyable outing for our family. I would hesitate to recommend it based on our experience.

Severely disappointed...
Bought 2x adult tickets online prior to visiting, to then be told at the front counter that we can not enter without someone under the age of 17.
Due to their rules, which, when questioned, was told that it's in small print on the website that adults can not attend without an underage person.
Why did the website not stop me from buying two stand-alone adult tickets?
The person behind the desk had no compassion, told me to apply for a refund, and told us to move on without any further information or the chance to talk about the situation.
I understand the concept of no stand-alone adult tickets after the fact, but it wasn't easily accessible on the website prior to purchase.
Additionally, when I went to apply for a refund, it as denied due to the fact I was not robbed (with a police report), injured/sick (with a doctor's certificate), or had a death in the family (death certificate).
So, technically, I was robbed. At the end of the day, ensure you read every single work on a website prior to purchase (it seems common sense to do so, but why actually reads everything?).
1st star for the treatment and experience.
2nd star for the train built out of Duplo.

4D movie and car ride were fun for the children and adults. Amazing lego displays with a few interactive ones. We were given a Memory Pass which has a QR code where the photos taken at the entrance and ride will be saved - just download your photos and this saves some money from buying the printouts. Less crowd as we went on a weekday. There were two playgrounds but playgrounds are not supervised. Some older children (above age limit) were also in the playground and were seen pushing the younger children. No staff was seen walking around to make sure everything is in order. A few staff were sitting around chatting and playing with legos. Explanation by female staff at the ride station was clear and nice. Cashier at store was also helpful. Overall a nice experience for us. Although parents are responsible for their children, but hopefully the management and staff will make arrangements to have one staff walk around to maintain order especially at the bigger playground.

Staff on the front desk were outright unhelpful. Not a great deal to see and do. A couple of small rides, the 4D cinema, a soft play area and a few Lego models of Melbourne which judging by the layers of dust on them haven't been touched, added to or even cleaned in years. There was a challenge area to build and race a car down a ramp yet a complete lack of the fundamental parts to build a car such as weeks or tyres. Signed up to do class with a supposed Master builder who was not in the slightest engaging or enthusiastic for the group of kids he was supposed to be demonstrating for. Positive:
Fun for kids with one wizard ride and 4D movie As indoor playground!
Negative:
However, the space is too small and crowded for the number of children and grown-ups in the play area. Should limit As two parents with one child. Not the entire family sitting in there with one or two children playing.

There were clumps of dust and rubbish in places on the ground, do the cleaners pick stuff up or just sweep it into piles? I get after a busy day things may possibly get a little ratty (which wouldn’t be an excuse anyway), but this was first thing in the morning!
The cafe didn’t have hot chips, donuts or milkshakes available. Some of the interactive games didn’t work, with a lot of the iPads missing. Even light fittings hanging off the wall in the under 5 soft play area leaving wires exposed.
Half the staff there came across as if they were being forced to work there at gun point.
As for Legoland as an attraction .over priced and not a lot on offer to keep people amused. The 4D movies were good, but not overly appropriate for very young children.
An incredibly disappointing and disturbing experience, we would have thought the Lego brand would at least set some levels of standard in hygiene if nothing else.

My family recently visited Legoland at Chadstone in Melbourne, and it was an incredible experience! My kid, who is 6 years old, was absolutely enchanted by the variety of attractions and activities that were available. She had a great time exploring the exhibits, playing with the building blocks, and even constructing her own creations. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and they made sure that everyone had a memorable experience. The Lego building area was particularly popular with my daughter , who was able to use the blocks to create all kinds of imaginative structures. There was also a play area with a giant slide and plenty of other activities, as well as a cafe with delicious snacks. The 4K cinema was a great addition, allowing visitors to experience Lego movies in stunning detail. We had a wonderful time at Legoland, and my son can't wait to go back! Highly recommended!

It's a nice visit, but very crowded with not enough staff. This is not a theme park and the ride queues are quite long. I think the Lego exhibitions could have been more interesting. I've given it 4 stars as the kids loved it

The coffee was good, and well done for having a a range of food for sake.
In terms of possible improvement, it was recommended that hand sanitiser be used regularly. It was not easy to find these, and when we did they have run out. Kids would not use them as it is.
Secondly it was very noisy at times, largely due to the very loud movie introduction, which was loud enough to be unpleasant in the room, but even outside pretty annoying. This would be very annoying for some kids as well as adults!
Blocks tend to be scattered over the floor, which could be a trip hazard.
The 4D movie sprayed water, some of which stayed on the floor between screenings. Again a possible trip hazard but also didn’t look good.
You have to queue for rides, which takes time out from having fun. Being able to book would be better. The Wizard ride was very short compared to time queuing.
The cafe and eating area was not clearly separated from the brick area. This was and issue where people were eating on the fit cart, surely not ideal.
