The coffee tasting on the various independent coffee houses was great. I am only sad I did this experience on the last day of my holiday as I would have had great fun experiencing so much more coffee.
The "magic" coffee was my all time favorite

Hi Alison, thanks so much for the fantastic review! It is a shame you caught us on the very last day of your holiday, but we are absolutely thrilled that you got to discover the famous Melbourne "magic" before heading home. Andrew will be delighted to hear that you enjoyed the deep dive into our city's coffee history just as much as the tastings themselves. Hopefully, this gives you the perfect excuse to plan a return trip soon!

Hi Karen, thank you for your feedback! We are delighted you enjoyed our guide’s deep dive into Melbourne’s history, though we are sorry to hear the culinary portion didn't quite hit the spot for you. While we find that most of our guests love the mix of iconic Melbourne treats—especially the balance between our world-class coffee culture and local street eats—we understand that every "foodie" has a unique palate
Your detailed list helps us see where we can improve the depth of our food storytelling.
We would love the chance to welcome you back for a more savory-focused tour in the future, perhaps our Dumpling Discovery Tour would be more to your liking.

Many thanks for your review, it is wonderful to see such a contrasting perspective! It sounds like Rita really struck the perfect balance for you, blending Melbourne’s rich history with its famous culinary scene.
For many visitors, this "taster" style is the perfect introduction to the city's vibrant laneways and diverse food culture. It’s great to hear that the mix of history and bites helped you get your bearings in the city.
Since you enjoyed the overview, you might love exploring some of the specific neighborhoods Rita mentioned in more depth.

Had an absolutely brilliant time today on the Foodie Walking Tour. Andrew, our tour guide, was very knowledgeable, kind and fun! I have been on many food tours around Europe and this is my first in Australia, and I have to say it was one of the best. Got taken to lovely restaurants and cafes, and ended on being treated to a drink at a fun bar. Thanks so much Andrew for a great afternoon, and as someone living here it was great to learn so much about the history of Melbourne and different locations. My Auntie and I were raving about how good it was afterwards. Highly recommend to anyone considering this tour, and they also do other tours that will be looking at too. Also the brilliant list of recommendations afterwards that I am most definitely going to be checking out. Thanks again! ☺️☺️

Took my dad who is visiting on the foodie discovery walking tour and it was fantastic! I have been living here for years and learned a lot about Melbourne’s history & discovered little foodie gem’s I hadn’t been too yet. We appreciated the small size group (10 people) and loved meeting everyone who was involved. Our guide was a fantastic story teller & left no detail untold, thank you Andrew! We look forward to trying another of your tours again - Elis & Dave

I’ve done a lot of foodie tours around the world, but this one really stood out. Super informative and such a good way to get to know a new city. Andrew was amazing—confident, fun, and brought us to some awesome stops with cool bits of history mixed in. I’m definitely a history nerd, but it wasn’t overwhelming at all, just genuinely interesting facts about the area. Highly recommend!

I'm always suspicious of companies with all five stars reviews. But after choosing the foodie tour a few days before I did it, I can vouch for the quality of the product Andrew provides - definitely worth the five stars. And it's more than just food, some very interesting history of early Melbourne is part of the presentation. Will definitely do again.
