Learning about the history of this corner of beautiful Sydney, plus discovering hidden gems of this area made for an unforgettable afternoon. Caite is also an amazing host, turning a tour into a very pleasant walk where spontaneous conversations flow while getting to know Marrickville. Definitely will be coming back for the live music, the Ale trail or just another walk!

Caite recently shared with us her love and knowledge of Marrickville. Our adventure started with a talk about the history and geography of the area, before we set off on a leisurely meander to discover a plethora of artwork, music venues, architecture, distilleries, breweries and other gems. Last Sunday, myself and two girlfriends joined Caite for her walking tour of Marrickville, being from the northern beaches we were unfamiliar with the area. Cait took my friends and I for a tour on Sunday and we had an excellent afternoon finding out about the history of Marrickville and the highlights. Even though we thought we knew Marrickville Cait managed to find quite a few things to add to our enjoyment of this suburb. We enjoyed some shopping and then lunch at Philter Brewery and then on to Poor Tom's. It was a lovely Christmas get together and my dog even joined us half way and hung out. Cait is a passionate, personable and lovely human who made the day so fabulous.

What a wonderful way to spend the afternoon in one of Sydney's coolest suburbs. Our guide Caite is very knowledgeable and passionate. As we make our way down Marrickville's main street she recalls the history of the First Nations People as well as the more rapid recent developments over the past centuries. Along the way we are introduced to characters past and present- sculptors and designers, an artists cooperative, amazing street art, quirky bars, music venues and book shops. Did I mention the opportunity to sample some of the best food and drinks in town? How about Vietnamese pork rolls, gelato, craft beer and local gin. The craft beer brewery and gin bar venues are particularly interesting, with authentic industrial vibes. This is a great way to see a part of Sydney you may not know much about. It's an unexpected and interesting discovery - and the best way to travel, in a small group. This would suit International tourists looking for a deeper insight during their visit and of course locals who are keen to learn more about their own city.

Caite was a terrific guide! She was friendly and passionate and everyone really enjoyed themselves as she effortlessly blended history and little known facts into the conversation as we toured such and interesting part of Sydney with plenty of stops for drinks along the way! I highly recommend Caite's tour!

Caite’s tour was incredible! Every stop on the tour has something better than the last (except the first stop which is the best of all with the Bahn Mi’s!). Her knowledge of the history of the area is deep and she was willing to answer any questions the group had. The alcohol was a big point to attract me to the tour and the brewery and bars had really tasty locally made drinks. Loved it! Will do it again for sure!

Well, what a great walking tour. Caite showed us: art, beer, history, gin and sculptures! All in very groovy Marrickville. Great fun checking out the diversity of the suburb and the various bars and music venues. Highly recommend this great tour: you’ll have great fun!
